  • he must have gotten some epic head that night

  • Broken feet....

  • for all you idiots who live in some other state but claim its not 80 feet, IT IS , i live a few minutes from it

  • Where is this? I want to do that?

  • @samofmoz near Blacksburg, VA

  • That's awesome. I measured 78ft on the nose. Definitely a no BS jump!! Just in case anyone was curious and wants to calculate free fall heights in feet, take the flight time, square it, multiply by 16.1 and viola!

  • @thewooginator83 I got the same thing! Thanks for the simplified formula; I was going to pull out an old physics book but this is much more simple.

  • nice....

  • that must've hurt

  • that is fucking crazy

  • sick

  • Awesome jump.... : )

  • this is hillbilly country

  • Comment removed

  • @rubber4532 or Hokie country biatch!!

  • @rubber4532 Not really, considering the fact that virginia tech is located there and has a very well rounded community.

  • Wow cool ^^

    Keep it up :D

  • Dude, you need to show me where this is at!

  • The things that were going through his head while falling...

  • Good landing. Great jump.

I would never have the guts to do that.

  • @Live2Fly94 not quite, his arms slapped,

that would have been really painful

  • omfg xD

  • wow respect

  • soooooooooo sick, perfect hang time

  • Badass? More like dumbass in my book.

  • where is this? i live near there and that looks like fun

  • i was there a few weeks ago and jumped off a 20 foot rock was scared to death... you are braver than I.. check out my sons jump.....jordan jumping off 70 foot rock in summersville

  • every clip i watched... and then take a look on a comm. There always must be some boring fagots who r telling that this is not true or some' like that.bla bla bla bla

  • Great jump, I want to head over to that quarry sometime in the next couple weeks, I'll prob puss out of the highest ledge though, ha.

Also thought I'd add how funny it was reading KingR3aper making lots of fuss over his expertise of physics, and making a fool of himself along the way.

  • not 80+ feet. Looks like a really fun jump though

  • omg i would never do that

  • i heard a crack

  • that looks like my friend dustin!!! he goes to that quarry all the time

  • Woah!!! Who's that brave and crazy man???

  • well you can get to the quarry via the private property and they met us by car once we were about to cross the fence. sucked :(

  • man thats fuking sick , what a legend , im from australia , id love sum where around here like that

  • I know what your saying, australia is so flat around the waters...

    aussie here ^^

  • This isn't 80 feet retard.

  • hey! i've been there! haha

  • I swam there with my team this morning!

  • estas loko!!!!!

  • Fuck me he has iron nuts! id luv ta find a cliff edge lik tht:D

  • thats the kinda of stuff i like to do, just got to find a place to do it in utah

  • Does anyone know how far out from the cliff face he would have landed?

  • nice jump, but invest in some board shorts

  • Anybody know EXACTLY where this rock is? I wanna take a road-trip this summer, and go jump it. I know, I know Blacksburg, VA. (thanks I can read)... but does somebody know how to get there? (I would appriciate a local's knowledge). Text me/ relpy back and I can contact you for more info, thank you.

  • i went there last summer and apparently it's private property now. the cops turned us away :( just thought you should know before your road trip

  • dude first vid of ppl jumping that i worth it :P

  • It's exactly 73 feet and 5 inches....

What a bunch of fuck tards.

  • id say 60 feet

  • where is this quarry

  • fricken nice!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This could actually be over 20 meters (over 70 feet)!!! Nice Jump!

  • holy shit!

that was pretty hight up, i wanna try that!!

  • dude thats sick!

  • he's lucky he didn't get hurt. i jumped off a 60 ft cliff and broke my tailbone. make sure you land feet first like a pencil!!

  • dude he got like 3.7 seconds of air time...that would just kill

  • it's actually about 2.2 seconds... way to stay realistic.

  • Nah it's more than 3. Stop being a douche.

  • it's not more than 3, learn how to count

  • you're a big faggot. Perhaps if all those dicks weren't obscuring your vision you would be able to count from the time his feet leave the ground to the time they touch the lake.

  • dude, get a watch, time it, and then shut up before i put my dick in your ass, OK?

  • You'd like that, wouldn't you?

  • so would you. For the last time... when you start counting, the clock starts at zero. You probably made the mistake by starting to count on one.

  • I addressed the level of fag is you earlier. GIVE UP. 3 shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be 3. THREE!!! <- With 3 !s. Because the amount of time he spends in the air is over 3 seconds.

  • it's hopeless, i can't even teach you how to count... you must be mentally challenged.

  • Well, according to the time on the youtube, it's almost EXACLY 3 seconds. 0:03-0:06, almost. ALMOST. JUST ABOUT. ALMOST ENTIRELY. NOT QUITE EXACTLY. But still.

  • use a stopwatch or ask your parents to help you.

  • yeah he jumped at like 0:02 and hit the water at 0:05 3 count em' THREE seconds

  • wait no more like 2.5 seconds so you're both equally correct well actually jerkoon is about .3 seconds closer but whatever :D

  • niceeeee.. where at is this in blacksburg??? cause i wanna hit that up.

  • gota have balls to do that!

  • that looks like FUN I'M GOING TO DO THAT!!!!!

  • awesome, what a great place to jump from too. blacksburg is sweet, go hokies.

  • I take it in the backside

  • he fukin die or summt!

  • Can you please do a Jump of the golden gate for us?

  • its funny when they all cheer when he surfaces. almost like they were expecting him to die

  • haha yeah i know

  • why on every video of cliff jumps do i find science boffs trying to prove each other wrong about how big the drop is, get over it god :S

  • IVE BEEN TO THIS QUARRY. PEOPLE JUMP IT. deal with it.

  • Does he still live?

  • thats way more than 65 thats lik 95

  • thats like 65ft

  • wow ^^

  • beautiful

  • hwy dude the bullet thing is true, in a place without air ( such as space ) this theory of the shooting bullet and dropping bullet is true, its harder to do on earth because of wind resistance

  • did he make it...? YEEEEEEEEEEEAAH

  • ooooo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o !!! nice jump man.. really crazy !!!! i try to jump almost from 70+ but i didn't! AFRAID !!! so , i know what have you done..

  • lol im gonna go jump of the brooklyn bridge? nice

  • 80ft, ill buy that. nice

  • Can someone give me precise directions on how to get here? I'm looking to hit this this coming summer and need some help. Hook it up!

  • youre on main street going away from VT tech campus. go past the cvs and just after the wendy's is a stop light, go left there onto Ellet Street. stay on that road for a while. it's a windy road but follow it. you'll go over some railroad tracks and past a gas station. after the station is a one-lane overpass. just before the overpass go right up a gravel driveway. park at the tracks, and go left (along the tracks) until you see that cliff on your left. theres a better quarry on the other side.

  • me too dude i want to go there!

  • I wanna see a vid of someone jumping off the bridge in Eggleston.

    MAKE IT HAPPEN!

  • O.o We were saying what would hit the ground first if something was propelled foreward vs one that is just dropped.

  • it's not only gravity, here on earth we also have air resistance which plays a big role

  • ...Yeah...thats...what I was saying?

  • wow wow ppl leave ur coments short will u?

  • haha yeah !

  • uhh...same acceleration? we talking about the same thing here bud?

  • alright, just in case somebody decides to argue with aerodynamics. Lets go with arrows. Cannonballs?

What about tennisballs? Javelins? Pencil? cell phone (Yeah, I did it with a 2 cell phones that I hate same mass and everything). Paintbrush? (Did it too) cameras? (didn't do it)

I'll build another rig, and record it for you people next time mythbusters style

  • ...shooting bullet, dropping bullet. Which hits ground first?

  • Sounded like his arms slapped the water.. that would hurt for a while...

  • 3.4 sec. in air

  • you honestly think you can time that accurately? i don't.

  • Ex: You're pushing something down with the same force. It touches the ground, there is almost no resistance.

When you push something down, and at the same time, it is pushing upwards with a greater force, and his force can change, but yours cannot. So with the resistance generated of something going horizontally, is enough to allow it to stay in the air for a slightly longer time than one that is not.

  • high, but not that high...the best quarries in America reside in Bloomington/Ooolitic, Indiana...trust me..just look up "95 ft. ledge John Wolff"...Ever see the movie "Breaking Away"?? Southern Indiana is the mecca for quarry jumping.

  • That kid had balls... You're just a 1upper

  • prick u have never jumped off a cliff refusion is spot on u 1 upper , FUCK OFF

  • yet again calm the fuck down u bloody dick u think ur pro cause u jumped of a motherfuckin cliff ur not the only 1 ya know so take a chill and jump of a cliff and miss the water y dont u. bet it wont make a diffrence to u u freakin 12 year old

  • This kid has the BIGGEST balls in the world i think. That was a huge f-in cliff.

  • fuuck? :O that was freki'n high!

  • "And for the record, that is also why bullets don't drop."

Lmao. Bullets don't drop. News to me ^^

I like reading all the douchebag's posts who look into it to far lol...

    Nice jump hehe

  • ...They drop..but not for a while anyway >.>

  • nice man. that would suck if u straddled the water. ur balls would be history

  • actually, i did.

  • all you math queers should shut your faces and jump off it if your so worried about it.

  • lol u guys are all somewhat right but no one is all the way right, when u move like a plane is, if u neglect wind resistance, ur horizontal speed doesn't change, only vertival due to gravity. however there is wind resistance falling so it is inaccurate no matter what u do unless u measure there terminal velocity. and 3rd off, u can reach terminal velocity after about 52 feet of falling, not free fall, free fall is without wind resistance

  • thatsa good jump but u guys gotta see the jump at bluffs its 110 ft! watch it on youtube!

  • DAMN!!!

  • very high^^

  • sweet!!! that was fking awesome!! i showed that to about 1 million of my friends. they all rated it 5 star. awesome!

  • I've stood on that cliff so many times and never had the balls to do it. I did watch two guys jump that at the same time. It was their first time at the quarry and they were drunk. It was amusing.

  • I'd say thats definately between 70 and 80 ft. I've done 65ft and got nearly the same airtime!

  • thats huge

  • on every single cliff jump video i see there are always people who say its not the correct height......who cares its still pretty high and takes some balls

  • yeah! it's VERY high

  • that was def not 80 feet.. ive seen my brother jump off cliffs that were about 50 and he was flailing for the exact amount of time as this dude.. but its still really high!!! ouch.

  • I will not argue with you...Im guessing 80 ft on what people have told me. There is another jump which is right by this one that is 40 feet (we've measurered) and this one is undeniably much higher. It might not be exactly 80 but def well over 50 and quite high!

  • ok............

  • If you would like to work out the exact height, you should use the equation of motion. I did it for you and here it is. I mesured the time it took for you to get from the highest point to the water with the stopwatch.(It was

    2.35seconds)This is the equation:

    Height=0.5 x 9.8 x (2.35)squared.(multiplied by itself.

The first two numbers always stay the same, so you could work it out on an other jump if you like.

The exact height of this jump =25.40 meters, or 83.33 feet.

  • What about the forward motion? Wouldn't a running jump outward take more time than simply dropping straight down?

  • youre fucking stupid. 1 youre finger stopping a stopwatch isnt going to be accurate at all. if you change the time in second by a tenth of a second you get a significant change in height. 2 rounding the acceleration of gravity and the time will fuck the result over completely. you need to be way more accurate to get an answer close to being accurate. 3 ive jumped this and it more like 65 feet. and for the other kid, forward motion doesnt affect the freefall for shit, dumbass.

  • dude... your nutsack must be just as huge as that jump!!! damnn........

  • i bet it hurt a little.

  • fuck'en sweet

  • I've watched loads of cliff jump vid's and this one looks the highest/scariest by far regardless of height claims!!

  • I've been to the same exact Quarry many times, It's called the milbrook quarry and its in haymarket V/A. The jump is near 55 at most 65.

  • yea didn't look like 80 to me.

  • Haymarket, VA is in the northern VA/Washington DC area, this jump was near Blacksburg in south western Virginia.

  • if it was 80 feet he clearly would have brooken a leg

  • 80 feet wont break a leg. You need more blunt force and a hard surface to do that.

  • ElPresidente101 (2 weeks ago) Show Hide Marked as spam +1 Reply | Spam thats like 50 ft. no way is that 80 ft. hes only in freefall for like 2.5 seconds.

    THIA GUY IS AN IDOT!!

because 2.5 sec of fall =100ft

  • i like the running approach then theres no way u can pull out haha

  • that place looks pretty fukin sweet

  • that was sweet... people bagging the video can drink petrol then smoke a cigarette

  • thats like 50 ft. no way is that 80 ft. hes only in freefall for like 2.5 seconds.

  • Amazing man, excellent.

  • Not 80 but again I see lies.. Why can't one time I see a jump that is labled correctly.

I would give it 64ft if that

  • nice jump man

  • at my gorge in tassie and its called gods its fuckg huge bigger than that and on three ppl have tried it 1 died and the other two are parapllegic so yeah pretty in sane

  • your a liar stop lieing , it makes people hate you, i hate you because you lied

  • dude calm down

  • i cant calm down am i the only person left who gives a shit about the rules?!

  • jesus. that guy has some balls.

  • id guess 75ft, still looks nice tho

  • NICE JUMP

  • He stays in free fall for 2.1 sec, so it makes it 72 feet high

  • stays in freefall for significantly more than 2.1 seconds.

  • it nerer 2.5

  • freefall is when he starts to go downward buddy, so it is a maximum of.. 2,3, not 2,5

  • yeh mate i jump i know what fucking freefall meens and no it is 2.5 he runs off more than he jumps off just cause u fucked up your maths

  • youre all fucking retarded. your forward motion doesnt make the fall any longer, gravity never stops. upward motion, yes. but not forward motion. also, you cant measure his height by his freefall time unless you have a stopwatch that goes to like ten thousandths of a second so stop acting like you know anything.

  • Technically no. Thats why planes don't out of the sky until they stop moving. if you take a running jump. Momentum will carry you foreword, before the 9.80665 m / s2 of the earths grav takes effect. You will last longer in the air, than if you just drop. Shortest distance between 2 points = straight line. If momentum carries you foreward, and down. Thats diagonal.

  • Also you can measure his height. But only if you know the speed he is falling at. (Like mph or kmph). Also having a stopwatch that goes to like ten thousandths of a second has absolutely to do with nothing. And for the record, that is also why bullets don't drop. Because they are moving foreword, though gravity will effect it, it gets pulled down slower. Seriously, this is like..10th grade physics.

  • oh my god i love how stupid you are. 1 planes stay up due to aerodynamics and lift, dumbass. true the fast forward motion is what gets the plane off the ground, but because it gets air moving over the wings, which creates lift. i'd get into why that happens but your too retarded. and secondly (if in a vacuum) bullets hit the ground just as fast when shot from a gun as they do if dropped. it might take slightly longer due to aerodynamics again, but forward motion doesnt effect the time it falls.

  • Yeah plane thing, bad example. My mistake. What the fuck happened to my other post? Anyway. Is everything that is either shot, thrown or propelled foreward and how it takes slightly longer to hit the ground due to aerodynamics?Any form of projectile ever used? Including arrows and random peices of junk stuffed into barrels of things such as patato guns. If you were to DROP something on the spot as to propelling something foreward. The one that didn't move will fall first.

  • Lol you are such a dumass dude... Archimedes >> you, Newton >> you, look up vector forces and learn something before you post thsi tripe

  • lol if u believe any of the shit u just wrote ur a idiot.

  • wait wait. Hang on. And what did YOU just do to absolutely justify what you said? a "lol" and the fact that 2 people said something different before I did? Let me guess, you're one of those people that like to jump on the bandwagon?

  • coon why u think so many people say ur bullshitting cause you are what you said is a load of shit lol

  • Only 2 people did genius ;) and I'm sure you would know. So, if you can even justify why I'm so "wrong" (nobody else say anything I want this guy to talk for himself) Go ahead, and tell. If you can't then stfu.

  • with them running and jumping out wards this will not make their time in the air longer as the distance from where they are to the water is still the same the only way they will stay longer in the air is if they run and jump upwards and out cause that makes the distance between them and the water further
