Its hilarious how all these wanna be know it all strong guys can talk n sa harrison ain't that strong..yea he was burning out with 315 on board presses..none of u can do that..n he's squatting with 500 plus bands pullin down for reps..but no he's not strong he's just pathetic..get life cause harrison ain't sweatin ur baby ass comments.
why do all you douchie bags thing you know more then professional trainers...shit crazy...if you wonder whats going on go pick up a book...its not necessary for a football player to sit fully down in a squat cuz thats not what their tryna train...and as far as failing at a 315 board press i bet he did 3 sets of 10...if ud look he was doin 405 board presses for multiple reps
Hate to say it, but when these guys go pro they dont focus so much on heavy weights. They go for more speed/endurance workouts. which is easyer on the body and is better for them on the field..when will you bench 500lbs in a football game?never..squat 500 in a game..never. They do more football workout that prepare for games and hitting.
And sky high squats with 465 lbs and a towel on the back are embarrassing for a 242 lbs man that has been lifting for 15 yrs. Harrison is obviously a great football player. But he is not good at squats. Just like Brady is one of the best qbs and probably is not a good lifter. Just like a good lifter is not gonna become great at football just for having twice the strength Harrison has just by putting on a uniform.
As weird as it sounds some strength coaches even at the NFL level dont know shit about lifting. When you get to coach in Div 1 college and you get the best athletes, pretty much anything you do seems to work because the kids are already, the best athletes with a couple of juice cycles no less. Besides the Steelers dont have the powerlifter god Simmons as consultant so no surprise these squats are high. Not to mention Harrison is using a towel on his back, that only bitches use
James Harrison has got to be one of the strongest guys for his size in the NFL. He is 250 lbs and he close grip bench-pres 500 lbs. That's fucking insane!
He Benched like 475 when he was going pro. Usually these guys in college prepare the bench thinking of the combine since their freshman yr if not since high school. Plus the juice and yes you get impressive bench press with the top guys out of college. In the video he is seen failing a board press w/ 315.
yeah you're right harrison didn't go down far with his squats but hey guess what there's more than one type of squat. he has bands on along with the weights which keeps you back more and is more on your quads so going to parallel or lower which is for your hammies and butt would obviously defeat the purpose of isolation. but you obviously have a better grasp on lifting then pro nfl players or the professionals at that facility that train half the steelers roster
would be a dream come true to change my life with this kind of training and motivation...but theres no way id ever be able to afford a PT like this...hell the PT's where i live in las vegas are asking 600$ a month....

The exercise Harrison is doing at 0.49 is it some kind of single leg hip thrust?

Gotta wonder why on earth that guy wasn't doing squats with full ROM. Would love to hear an explanation for that.

@ToquiGambit try and bench 315 8 times and see if you dont fail on the final rep
glisinski 1 year ago
@madeinamerica650 dumbass those are 45s on each side plus the bar so 315 not 500
ChrisZona23 8 months ago
@ChrisZona23 Dumbass for one he was repping 315 on regular bench. Second he was probably referring to a max when he said 500lb close grip

@ToquiGambit I think that the personal trainer knows what is the right way and wrong way. he is training NFL players.
