  • Why the fuck are we talking about Chad Kroeger? Who the hell is Chad Kroeger?

  • @TheYogiBunnie Nickelback -_- the nicolas cage of music...

  • a dreadful loss for music.

  • I don't understand why anyone would listen to this if not a fan, OR HOW one could not become such after listening. ? ~Arguably (M.S. perhaps beside) THE MOST INFLUENTIAL HOMO GENT SINGER/SONGWRITER OF OUR TIME.)

  • did he have a vagina lol? sing like a girl LMFAO!.. lil wayne is much better.

  • @l0wpk3r ah, to be 6 again...

  • @bobbydylanio hahahaha nice one

  • @l0wpk3r a good troll doesn't make it obvious that they are in fact trolling, you're just awful

  • @l0wpk3r Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @l0wpk3r - I know this is obviously a failed troll attempt, but I still feel an uncontrollable urge to punch you in the face when I read this.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • "Corpus Christi written thereon"

  • @sylfunny

Drowned in the Mississippi, totally sober, just out for a swim.

  • what a beautiful rendition of a beautiful song ,not many things sound so beautiful

  • I dreamed I saw Jeff Buckley last night,

    Alive as you and me.

Says I, "But Jeff, you're ten years dead..."

    "I never died" said he.

    "I never died" said he.

  • S'okay guys, he's not "dead".. He's just in Heaven, God's lookin' after him for us.

  • chocolatefrogs1992 = virgin

  • 'cringing' is a understatement while listenin to buckley's voice.....

  • This song hits me so deep. I LOVE Jeff. If you like this song, you should check out 'Fragile Bones(Feels Like Home) by Ali Murray. It's so sad yet achingly beautiful.

  • @sylfunny He drowned accidentally in the Wolf River, near Memphis. He was 30. Beautiful and brave, like you said. And so diverse ...

  • he didnt write this song, did he?

agreed. him & freddy mercury are the best male vocalists of all time.

  • @BonzaiBillie1 no this is an old english hyme

  • @hepburn94 Yes, but it's Benjamin Britten's arrangement, slightly adapted by Jeff Buckley.

  • The most incredible song I have ever heard.

  • Such a feeling of heaviness cmes over me when I see, read or hear anything by or about Jeff Buckley. I wish the joy I felt at "finding" him, and enjoying him on CD and on stage in the '90s would overtake the dark, heavy one ... but the cruel fact that he was taken from us is something that, for me, is always there. Like many, I believe his presence -though so brief- was truly a gift to us and our spirit.

  • If only Jeff had a son...

  • @ClockworkRevolution I've thought those very thoughts myself............

  • Scary! Jeff had a gift I don't think he even realized!!!

  • that man was an angel OMG perfect voice , HEAVENLY CREATURE JEFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • on reste sans voie!!!!!!s'est magnifique

  • sobering beauty and grace in this soulful moving piece. if there is heaven, Jeff and Tim are harmonizing together in it. RIP gentle souls.

  • This recording is very... eerie. Has a way of creeping me out. But I can't stop listening. Jeff Buckley was so talented and had such an incredible voice.

  • The most incredible voice ever!!!!

  • This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard.....Buckley was wonderful. He had a huge range....

  • his music reflects true humanity! I will love him evermore...

  • People who go through 3 stages of tears when they discover Jeff Buckley 1) Crying upon first listening to this angel 2)Crying upon finding out he died so young 3) Crying from then on because they're rejoicing over the music and the fact that God even gave the world Jeff Buckley in the first place even if it was only for a short time

  • @cbhitman1

    beautifully put.

I can't stop listening to him lately...

  • There is a God.....and she loves Jeff Buckley

  • @kellar or she/he loves us because we got jeff buckley

  • @kellar possibly my favourite comment on youtube

  • @AmikaLDN Why, thank you mam!!

  • Oh fuck.. I never even knew this existed..I am such an idiot...This guy..this angel.

    I'm sad :O((

    RIP Dear Man.

  • BELLA!!!

  • just exploded a little bit

  • *throws underwear in the air* AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Amen.Amen.Amen

  • The music Industry? What 'bout us? Like any great artist ----left this world way too soon.

    RIP Jeff Buckley

  • This is so beautiful. People this kind of talent comes along once in a life time. The music industry has lost a precious jewel. I'm just happy that I was able to hear this kind of beauty in my life. Thank you jeff for leaving such beautiful art for us to listen to

  • @SueCillian word.

  • i was watching a movie on television today and it was called "A Life Interrupted" and there is a cover of this song sung by patrick watson. Its absolutely incredible. If anyone has any information on where i can get an mp3 or even hear it again please let me know asap. I absolutely must hear this song again.

  • yes me too ! I can't find the song anywhere!!! :(

  • its on 'grace' !!!!?

  • Just listening to this...almost has you in tears. Incredible. So moving. There will never be another like him. RIP :( :(

  • So beautiful

    X

  • this brings you straight back down to earth and gives you back your spirituality

  • Jeff's eclectasism from obscure songs like it's over (the smiths) that know one really knew to popular songs, like dylan and zepplin to his own material like (everybody here wants you). Aria's like Dido's lament. What I'm getting @ is just about every song Jeff did was like friggin God or something singing those songs. CCC is a perfect example.

  • If Y

  • RIP Jeff.........voice of an angel.......tragically taken from us so young and at the peak of his powers. Never to be forgotten....he lives on through his magical music and his sublime voice which makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.......

  • the last notes that he sings sounds like a wine glass signing when you run your finger around the edge.

  • merveille!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my least favourite song off of Grace, but I think his vocal sin this song are purely unbelievable

  • I can't listen to this without getting goosebumps. Almost moves me to tears every time.

  • And of course it has a lullaby element, which is the epitome of pure music without intellect, that is also a theme that Buckley loved. Mostly it is great that he plucked this from obscurity and gave it to average people like me.

  • The most eerie part is: By His bedside standeth a stone / Corpus Christi written thereon

It took me many years to even pay attention to that, but then I realize, it is the body of Christ, and he's the knight who bled for man's sin, before being borne away by the Falcon, which is either God or death. It's a surreal song to cover. I think he chose it for its obvious beauty and the fact that it speaks about selfless love and suffering.

  • The weeping maid plays into that as well, either as Mary or as a personification of the Church.

  • Hahaha, poor Chad Kroeger...thats how it goes so many times, the best people, the most genius musicians, are often only with us for a short time. Makes their music that much more of a treasure. This song right here is why Buckley is my favorite vocalist ever.

  • it's a real shame a great talent like Jeff Buckley had to pass away so early, but a no-talent idiot like Chad Kroeger will probably live forever...

  • God gives you something, he's going to take something away too.

  • @NewWaveOldSchool I don't think if Jeff were alive today he'd agree with you. Death is a crime against the human condition; nothing more, nothing less. One day it'll each and every person's time to go :(. Treasuring any work of music, of art, no matter where it or who it comes from, should never be admonished. <3

  • @NewWaveOldSchool oh dont whine...Chad Kroeger has a talent of his own too.

  • This is the most moving piece of music I have ever heard.

  • its for to be silence.

    beautiful ....

  • increible

  • I always cry when I listen to this song

  • Probably one of the hugest voice that I ever heard. Fabulous !!

  • This just makes me cry. What a sad loss. Can you imagine what music would be like if he were still alive?

  • lovely.

  • OMG...so lovely so....damn lovely

  • my Dad Bought this album in 1995 and i was only about 3 and i remember hearing this song almost everyday, now i play this album every day.

  • i think this song can some up the debate on who has the best voice. hallelujah is great everybody hear wants you is sexy, but corpus chrsti carol is straight beautiful

  • Merci RadioIcalling pour cette vidéo.

Quel talent ! Quelle personnalité !

Et quelle tragédie ! J'ai comme l'impression que nous sommes nombreux à pleurer Jeff Buckley...

  • One of the most talented voices, it took me a few listens to understand this was Jeff singing, such a range of voice!

  • was there ever a live recording of this.

    definition of beautiful.

  • Wow, this man has THE most beautiful, delicate.......his voice can put you into a trance - it's feel like his singing demands my attention

So sad he isn't around now.......i suppose that's what makes his music beautifully epic....almost sublime

  • I remember listening to the album Grace and it was time to go to bed, this song was playing and when I reached out to turn the CD player off, I couldn't do it. I had to wait 'til the end of the song.

  • This is a truly, sorrowfully beautiful Carol; sung by the most incredible, soulful voice.

  • This is almost too much.

  • O_O was god !

  • WOW...

  • cool , he is amazing ...

  • The most incredible voice i've ever heard!

  • I'm crying as I try to type this........his voice is sweet soul surrender! r.i.p jeff!

  • Awesome. There is nothing else I can say.

  • sad but at the same time beautiful

  • Great people often die young, while the trash of the world grind on for years, leaving misery and damage behind.I would rather believe there is no God because if there is one he/she/it..has a sick plan

  • So wonderfull, great, lovely....rest in peace Jeff...

  • Beautiful , You right, Maria ! Thanks ;)

  • wow... why do all the great people die at such a young age... it's like god can't wait to have such people with him... he is definiately one of the greatest singers of all time off his kind...

  • you will be missed by dear dream brother

he is the best especaillywhen it comesto covering songs he completely transcends the original to god level

i remeber him everytime itouch my guitar

  • contrast this song with the live version of "dream brother" on the mystery white boy album; then you get an idea of just how dynamic and fucking good jeff buckley was.

  • buckley is inspiration too all to me too. I dont think he put's other musicans too shame because they respect buckley too.

  • If they ever did a movie on him-if it hasn't already been done-James Franco is elected in my book to portray him. Buckley was AMAZING

  • hey!!

i was thinking this the othe day!!

they look similar and he would do a good job,

    i second your motion!

    :)

  • This has got to be the most daring thing any male singer has ever had the courage to attempt...to do a pop album including rock and throw this in the midst!....Buckley had a talent and soul that puts all the others to shame.

  • More than perfect.

  • i remember hearing this album in 98 when i was 16 and being hypnotized by it.magic

  • Devastating.

  • Jeff Buckley is absolutely wonderful! I voice is just stunning in the song.

    he is missed everyday!!

  • an angel....

  • ._.

  • kOtAbièrement toucher... on pense à toi là haut qui noo surveille & nous guide de près!!!

    marci por l'inspiration...

  • One of the greatest singers to walk this earth!!

  • C'était très joli, très touchant; c'est vrai qu'il nous manque;

  • Merci et surtout merci à lui. Personne ne pourra jamais l'égaler

  • An angel in the making was he with this voice.

  • Such a beautiful song. It really shows what a powerful voice he had.

  • absolutely! this song may not describe much power (trust me, jeff had power) but rather the range and variation that he was able to use with his voice.

  • Jeff Buckley has not only captured my sould and mind but my heart as well. This song is hands down one of the most beautiful I have ever heard inmy life. Jeff was truly blessed!

  • Yes, he was. God bless him, his voice, his soul, everywhere he is.
