  • exelente.....

  • RYU :O

  • Taekwondista was thought to be strong Hahaha! and here comes the real shock of Karate, is lucky if not he broke any bones. The taekwondistas are delicated and weak, the taekwondo is useless in a fight.

  • what about tai chi?

  • @996200417 try tai chi movements with strength and speed...

  • Just to clear a few things.

You can't compare martial arts because different martial arts are made for different purposes.

It's like comparing a car to a tank.

  • and this is a proof that taekwondo never uses hands to fight

  • @GetInside157477 Actually it's more preferred to use kicks, TKD still utilize punches but focus mainly in kicks. There are combos and forms where you have to use the punches over the kicks and even combine them as well. The reason why we would use more kicks because they can reach further and deliver heavier blows. That's why we're always moving instead of keeping close and finding ourselves getting cornered which there ARE combos and techniques to get us out of corners as well.

  • nice guard

  • no ahi ni tecnica ¡¡¡

q mierda de peleas son estas¡¡

  • shit!

  • de esta pelea saca no te a apresures en atacar

  • Ryu vs Bogart

  • this one doesn't look like TKD vs Karate.. in my opinion, both of their fighting stance is karate.

  • Waow... iron hand. amazing

  • Best martial art that can be used in street fight is judo and wrestling

  • @kslee421 ERROR

  • @kslee421 i think it depends honestly. street fights could lead to more people attacking you. if your using wrestling or judo you will be open for the others to hit you! I think kick boxing is the best. it alows an array of different types of attacks and keeps you on your feet more which lets you avoid getting attacked by others! Plus its not very fancy or flashy, just basic moves that work in alot of different sceniros. But this is just my opinon lol

  • @kslee421 oh yeah, when you are being attacked n the street it is indeed very wise to go to the ground and start grappling....you never been in a real fight.if there are more than one attackers which you'd never really now in a street fight you should never ever go to the ground!!!

  • @Krisznyo that guy loves MMA if you ask me. LOL

  • Owwwwwww

  • Ryu whooped that ass...

  • Comment removed

  • plexus

  • the one in black is the karate guy... so TKD fuckd his ass

  • @vegitto888 The one in black is Taekwondo, the one in white is karate

  • @vegitto888

the one in black who threw so many kick is Patrick Smith american Taekwondo champion vs Satake, a Seidokaikan Karate champ

  • ワロタ!!

  • What no ADUKEN??

  • There are no weak martial arts all have something to offer. And there is no superior martial art only superior martial artists

  • @MrLawson2500 sometimes it matters what you do... belive me if you do kyokushin and you fight against shotokan karateka there is pretty much chance the winner is the kyo karateka. 99% no best style yeah. but I think kyo and wing tsun are the most effective martial arts! :)

  • KARATE WIN !

  • Don't care of what the guy learns to fight :(

as long as hes good at it and can beat ppl down, i dont care even if its girly fight.

and is most ppl here thinking tht as long as they are officially learning Karate, they could be the next Mike Tyson, Silva, or Bruce Lee? :P

  • karate rulz !!!!!

  • so embarrasing. The karate guy even not attacks him. He could be killed if he wants.

  • Taekwondo has more kicks than karate, fuck you talking about has more to karate kick that taekwondo. PORRA VAI DA O CU (portugues)

  • @hiunaam i don't think so, there are many moves that karate doesn't have. 540, 720 vv...

TKD original from Korean, however Iran has research and discovered many technic to improve speed and accuracy of TKD, then many coach from Kor must go to Iran to re-learn them.

If TKD maybe same same as Karate, but it is not absolutely copy ==!

  • Good times, good times. Before the UFC, there was this :))

  • Hey look it's Ryu!

  • shaolin kung fu is the best!

  • THAT does not seem like tkd to me, i think they both were karate!

  • @Tezcatlipoca1984 the dark skin brotha does twd he was in twd magazine in the late 90est

  • TWD guy look like chicken

  • no doubt Taekondo is the weakest martial arts coz its just a copy of karate.

  • @HiuNaam12

yeah but tkd is mainly more focused on strikes. karate is good cause it has a little of everything.

  • @HiuNaam12 No I think Capoeira is the weakest coz its just a dance copy of taekwondo! lol

  • @kev3145 lol capoeira is older than taekwondo fact! the movement was made in to a dance to

hide its deadly kick n take down from the overseer. good tink they did to or we would not have a

    beautiful n deadly art today.

  • @HiuNaam12 tkd is not a copy of karate dude ==!

Their kicking is much more difficult and beautiful than karate, but it is not practical in real fighting ==! so Taekwondo now become a sport focus on performing - demonstating more than fighting, therefore they don't concentrate in stamina, just accuracy of skill. However, TKD kicks is really powerful maybe 1 hit KO, which was not showed in that video (yupchagui, bandechagui, tuypchagui...) but these are really hard to hit...

  • @squallseedD171 no taekwondo is 100% copy of karate.u dont know history of taekwondo.

  • @HiuNaam12 so i just train their powerful kick, and combine with boxing @.@ that's great :D

Martial arts weak or not depend on the user

  • nice knockout

  • @Stahldonner its not a knockout, he broke his fingers

  • @1EyeSack1

my nephew wrote that, i can see that he injured hishand. my little tiger is on the way to be a good fighter but he has no eyes for that , not yet

    ;)

  • @Stahldonner good luck

  • @1EyeSack1 and what are broken fingers? t.k.o.... if he is to stupid to form a funktional fist, hes in the wrong game ;)

  • the iron fist

  • taekwondo guy looks like alistar overeem of course he is not

  • @rabanaster1 That's Patrick Smith. He fought in the very first UFC.

  • After repeating the punch over and over I have come to the conclusion that it's actually both. The Karate guy's wrist hits Patriks wrist at the same time as the punch lands making it a bad punch and block at the same time.

  • he broke his hand with a block

  • @Sevv921 the tkd guy should at least be useing taekwondo

  • ATTACK E

    DEFENSE E

    TECHNIQUE E

    YOU LOSE!

  • And that goes pretty much to the rest of body, as well as mentally. I remember once when i have trained karate when i was a little boy. Karate trainer/teacher, maybe 90 kg, was jumping on our stomach, whipping us with his belt and forcing to punch in the wall until our hands started to bleed. If we refused to listen, there were even worst methods for punishment..

  • @StillOnMars Yeah, we do that too. Karate might be underrated, but that's the reason it always amazes people when they see its true power.

  • karate fighters train their fists to be like they're made of iron!

  • @StillOnMars True.

  • stupid fight

  • wth happened to ol boys hand...he was winning....i think...

  • wtf happened to ol boys hand...he was winning....i think...

  • 1:08 nice shoken tsuki

  • パトスミ対佐竹ワクドキでッす。

  • ryu win

  • All the Taekwondo schools i know test for belts monthly. They have 9 year old black belts, it's garbage.

  • @lwst82 mines test every 6 months i believe

  • @lwst82 only WTF

  • @lwst82 LMAO, i have seen schools like that. One kid couldnt even make a proper round house kick! or a fist, yet he has a black belt.

  • who won

  • lol

  • Patrick Smith broke his wrist on that punch. Sucks.

  • Taekwondo finger VS Karate finger xD

    ..it's too dangerous

  • its very nice

  • NICE!

  • I'm sick of those "A vs B" labels. Can't you just put their names? It's not the whole seidokaikan Vs the whole TKD... Crap. I hate those lazy labelers.

  • @NachosaurusRex it gets moer viwers

  • street fight .. deejay vs ryu

  • @MrRalfasd

    ryu.

  • buena pelea

  • The guy in black is so impatient.. pisses me off

  • I'm not sure what happened here. Did was it a punch? Did Pat break his hand/wrist punching a guy's chest WHILE WRAPPED?

    I'm so confused!

  • under what rules did this match take place?

  • 1:05 KO!!

  • @1:08 that was a perfect karate punch. short, swift and accurate. right into a pressure point on top of the heart.

  • @00greyman It wasn't the Karate man's punch that got him floored noob. TKD guy broke his wrist punching the Karate guy's chest plate. Happens time to time in boxing. He may have taped his hands wrong.

  • @Xentradi97 you could be right. after replaying the video smith did land a punch. but to tell you. i also broke my wrist but i didnt went to the ground. don't call me NOOB coz your obviously have no experience in combat. my comment is based on the fact that the fighter released an impact punch(thus he shouted on the strike) and smith went to the ground. if your hit with a pressure punch like that you will be shaking as well.

  • @00greyman I called you a NOOB because your eyes weren't keen enough to spot the real reason why Smith went down. It wasn't because of Karate guy's punch. It was his own punch that landed wrong.

  • @Xentradi97 ah yes i was. after re watching the video. it was clear that the karate guy just did a series of inside block. and from this point on its clear to me that you absolutely have no right to call me names. first of all you dont know me. and people who call names are nothing but ill-breed and uneducated posers who i dont wish to associate with so please don't. good day.

  • @00greyman You say I have no right to call me names since I don't know you and then call people like me as "Ill-breed and uneducated posers". LOL You sure follow what you preach. Or perhaps you take yourself way too seriously. Don't reply if you don't want to be associated. It's just that simple. No need for a grand exit.

  • @00greyman apparently the ill breed cout didnt understand my comment. its just a waste of time trying to explain.

  • @00greyman Ur answering your own post. Who's ill bred? LOL. I understood your comment just fine it's you who didn't understand a damn thing. First you say it was Karateka's punch that KO'ed Smith. After I gave you counter argument, you then said it was Karateka's blocks that floored him. Niether. It was Smith's own punch landed in wrong way. If anything Karateka moved trying to punch Smith and Smith's punch landed in a wrong way caused it to break or sprain severely.

  • i made a mistake on my first comment. the karate practitioner didn't throw a punch. but still he stuck with a mantra that i believe is prominent in martial arts. "defense." keep a solid defense that will allow you to mount a strong offense. in this case. the defense itself was enough to win the fight.

  • @00greyman That was a punch not a block. Smith broke his wrist on his own punch. The fight was won by decision. Once again. Noob.

  • @Xentradi97 Yeah you're right, it was his punch that landed the wrong way.

  • Karate sought to develop a martial art that could take down the emperor's enemies with one strike. I guess this was a perfect example of that.

  • ん?

  • wtf happned?

  • iako suki no keres mas

  • this fight is crap. I'd like to see them fight under UFC rules... glapling changes the entire feel of the game

  • @richterscale09 Whelp, another UFC redneck.

  • @richterscale09 yeah and watch another fucking session whatever, whenever someone in the UFC fight outside and got beaten, a fan would say fight under MMA rules he'd win. Well a good fighter like those 2 would abide by whatever rules is dished out on them and the better fighter would emerge in that fight, we don't see the defeated fighter bitch out like you do, nooooo coz his a real man who knows he got beaten, and then go back to the dojo and train some more to get back at it

  • @Kaisertoji I agree that fighters would abide by any rules given to them. My point was that the holding and the judge separation every minute made the fight look like a boring sport. The reason why MMA or UFC fighters usually have the upperhand, and that you can't deny, is that they are equipped in all grappling, kicking, and punching (and that makes the whole fight much more exciting). Even if they are not masters in kicking, they can still win with a well rounded style that works for them.

  • @richterscale09 Both these guys fought in MMA. Pat Smith, the black guy, fought in UFC 1 as a matter of fact.

  • @ThePinkMan so what? it doesnt change the fact that this fight was crap.

  • @richterscale09 You asked to see them fight under MMA rules. I pointed out that they're both mixed martial arts. Problem?

  • @ThePinkMan yeah, huge problem. link me to their MMA fight, will yah?

  • Where's teh Hadouken?

  • Kaji kempo ftw

  • taekwondo? No! take-lose-do

  • taekwondo rocks!

  • @Taekwondorocks TKD is lame. It's only good to show off on kicks, that's it. I've beaten TKD when I competed in Karate.

  • I was gonna say their attacks are so fast and driving the other onto the ropes so fast how could this gain any fans at ... OOO CRAP HE JUST HIT THAT GUY'S JAW...

  • @MightyTrebor Actually, the guy came down on the other guys wrist at the end. That's why you see him shaking his hand vivaciously :<.

  • @corvanjer woah!

  • Marial arts is the best.......just keeps da flow and knocked by tactics

  • watch sanda vs karate ,

    japan get owned again lol

  • who's Hu?

  • Yay

  • Not a single fireball?

  • i bet you guys never fought you know nothing

kicking his enemy with weak kicks isnt fighting and the guy who got 'knocked out' punshed in his enemys fists.hilarious if you call this guys fighters.they dont think while fighting.just watch a bruce lee fighting video he thought about his next move everytime and just destroyed his enemys with fast powerful atacks which brang his enemys body to colapse.

  • @de96erDennis when trained in martial arts, you dont learn "think about next move" in fighting. this distracts and you will get knocked the f out while your thinking the next move. you just flow...like water. counter and attack or precise attacks

  • @de96erDennis

are you talking about his movies? LOL

  • i was w8ing for him to bust out a hadoken cuz he looks like ryu sooooo much in this vid (but not the way he fights lol)

  • prefiero el taekwondo

  • Comment removed

  • Masaki uses his fists to destroy wood, brick and tile, Pat uses only foot movements in taekwondo and fights gloved when boxing or kickboxing, they colided fists Iron clashing with Glass

  • HIDOKEN!!!

  • fail

  • This punch looks he hit the nick not the chest.

  • actually these guys cant fight.

  • @de96erDennis but either of them can kick your ass while blindfolded.

  • right punch to the chest area?

  • i can't tell what happened... why'd the guy in black go down? it all happened so fast!

  • Is that the reem

  • Hame505.. you must be a japanese or stupid idot..kung fu came to korea 500yrs ago and became tkd and it became karate later in japan..i.m a canadian history teacher

  • what happened it was too fast how did that guy lose?

  • haha you are japanese , what the fuck hahahaha

    don't pretent to foreigners .

  • hahaha hey hame505 what did you say?

Korea is an imitation of the Karate and dirty nation? hahaha go fuck yourselves.

yeah i am Korean . Karate came from the Korean Teakwondo fighter .

Do you know the real Korea ? plz shut the fuck up your mouse .

yeah i can't speak English it's just 3rd language for me

so , if u fight with me , speak in korean 이씨발새끼야 ㅡㅡ

    I can't put up with such an insult . Fuck u hame505

  • All i saw was hugs and some kid punches to eachother. Both of these Martial Arts have their own specific beauty. Which neither fighter used in fight

  • When tempers flare forgot about discipline. Punch the fuck out..

  • Ryu vs DeeJay

  • @BeefPapa Haha ! :D

  • @BeefPapa LOL! exactly what i was thinking.

  • @BeefPapa You fucking beat me too it. Seriously, I am so disappointed. Lol.

  • a?

  • Satake won?

  • @Hawaii0407 That is my understanding as well. It may be accurate to say that Tae Kwon Do "as it is practised now" has a history of only decades, but that contemporary style has roots in practices that go quite a bit farther back in history. Most martial arts have evolved and changed over long periods of time; that doesn't mean they are only as old as their most recent modifications.

  • The taekwondo of South Korea is an imitation of the Karate of Japan.

The taekwondo of South Korea has only the history for 50 years though the Karate of Japan has the history for 500 years.

South Korea is a dirty nation that makes the Japanese culture theft Olympic event.

  • @hame505 I think u need to do more research... Tae kwon do has alot more history than 50 years..

  • youtube.com/watch?v=lLyePTENiQ4&NR=1

  • Fabrication is shame.

    watch?v=hix9SGnUz58

    and find out Koreans plagiarism.

If Korean has dignity, they should stop telling lies.

  • WTF!!!!!

  • Lol, whoever says TKD is useless all because some guys hands got fucked up is stupid. Injury does not demonstrate style.

  • HADOKEN

  • is that pat smith?

  • Why didn't he do quarter circle forward fierce?

  • 1:17 only! I knew someone will get knocked

  • there are no superior martial arts, only superior martial artists. - forest morgan.

Trying to compare two styles based off of the ability of an individual is ridiculous.

  • alright, that's why i said i think, but axe kick is a part of karate, we call it KAKATO,and the only reason i thought both of them are karate fighters is there standing is almost the same. Greetings.

  • Probably not a lot of heavy bag training.

  • i am karate fighter, i think both of them are karate fighters !!!

  • @f35sidewinder Err.... you are very wrong. Pat Smith is not a karate fighter and while I don't have a great knowledge of Karate, I'm not sure that an axe kick is a part of karate. However, I stand to be corrected on the last point.

  • so many people arguing about which karate is the best, when it's clear an MMA fighter could trumph both of these chumps.
