  • One of my all time favorite songs by one of my all time favorite singers!! Thanks for post.

  • The guy on steel guitar is the great Doug Jernigan!

  • I think the pedal steel man is Ben Keith who also spent 4 decades as Neil Young's pedal steel man

  • A passionate good hearted country boy; but don`t mess with his wife or friends. Then you end up in a Big fight

  • It looks like a video game! GREAT song!

  • NOTICE: No dislikes on this one! And for good reason! KILLER all the way around. "Handsupman" has said it all here! An' "teletekman" is right on - the only thing better than twin fiddles is triple fiddles, esp. if ya got Ernie Reed, Don Rich & Charlie Justice drawin' the bows! WOW on this clip.

  • Thanks so much for posting great country singer the one & only Faron Young!!!!

  • the drummer is Jerry Wiggins Willy Cantu left in late 1967 and Jerry replaced him in early 1968.

  • Loved bucks Band with Don Rich ~he was sooo awesome and such a great loss ~Buck Owens was never the same after Dons death ~He was jsut a great player and Picker We sure lost a lot when we lost soo many of the great ones~ And Liek all of you I cant stand todays Country at all ~It ReallY SUCKS ~Ty all for these Videos I Love them~Steve

  • that center fiddle looks like don rich...?

  • @robertellismusic1 Yep! That's Dangerous Don Rich for sure! Good Eye!

  • @robertellismusic1 That's also Willie Cantu on drums from the Buckaroos!

  • Just a little country belly rubbin music

  • Faron Young is a great country stylist. More people should know his name and songs.

  • ATTENTION: Ladies and Gentlemen, TODAYS COUNTRY SUCKS COCK.

    Thank You

  • @handsupbud I AGREE!!! POP COUNTRY SUCKS!!!

  • Now that's country

  • I enjoyed the video. I recomend reading the biography of Faron if you want to know more about his life & music

  • The only thing better that twin fiddle's are three fiddle's!

    What a great video!

  • this is a good country song ot play man

  • Faron was the smoothest country singer of all! This cat is still cool!

  • How old is Doug Jernigan (steel guitar) in this video? Doesn't look much older than 15, but it's a bit blurry.

  • I have always loved Faron. Never thought I would see a clip of him again. Bless your heart for sharing this awesome clip.. :) Thanks so much.

  • George Jones fiddler in the grey suit?

  • @CountryCarlson

    Yes, Charlie Justice.............

Who left Nashville to live an easy life in Virginia..in 1977

  • Faron was a very picky man some say very hard to work with at times, you think he would had fixed his tie before the camera rolled

  • I didn't know the man personally, but his tie or his demeanor does not take anything away from his talent which is undisputable.

  • Is that Doyle Holly of the Buckaroos playing bass guitar on the left side of the picture?

  • Yes it is thanks for looking my clip

    Cowboyontheroad

  • Yep, and Don Rich playing fiddle

  • No doubt about it, that is "Dashing Doyle Holly on bass"! And Don Rich on fiddle (Middle). Remember the buckaroos were "house musicians" in the beginning of Hee-Haw. Also Buck and Farren were long time buddies.

  • @sgmk0 Don Rich on fiddle as well.

  • That's what's great about youtube..you have a choice of the young Faron or the older Faron. I prefer the older, funnier version! Watch "Winter Wonderland" on mrronniea post..his ballet ending is priceless!

  • Thanks for the compliments yourebestfriend cowboyontheroad

  • This version best captures the essence of the recording,

  • Was watching Hee Haw on RFD-TV the other night and this song came on.

The first year of that show they had Faron Young, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Waylon Jennings and, of course, Buck and Roy. Ladies and gentlemen--it does not get any better than that. Today's "country" performers couldn't carry these guys' jock straps....

  • His Hee Haw version was better than any other by far...

  • for ages i've thought that i was the only person who thought that!

lol. Glad someone else agrees : )

  • Truely one of the best. A guy could never go wrong with Doug Jernigan on the steel and Ernie Reed and Don Rich on the fiddles.

  • @haybaler97

AND. Charlie Justice, no relation to the Justice Brothers of the Mel Tillis

    Statesiders..........

  • i'd also like to thank the guys in cali for raising those grapes.

  • This is from one of his early appearances on Hee Haw.

  • this by far is in my opinion, the best film clip of Faron Young on You Tube, Faron Young at his best, as a singer, and a showman, Mac

  • Great live performance. Rare clip, I'm sure. YouTube is great. Thanks
