Are the doctors 100% sure the flu shot is what triggered the symptoms (not gave her the disease, but triggered it)? Couldn't she have done a number of other things to trigger it? Christ. Vaccine manufacturers have been government protected since the 80s. If they were not, why would they drop everything to make these vaccines? So they could be sued? They are a business - ergo, they don't give a crap about the general public. That's the free market in action. As for the development of the vaccine - the H1N1 flu shot was built and tested the same way as every other flu shot. The name is new - they don't start from scratch.
