iphone is great for people who dont care about tweaking their phones. its extremely user friendly and perfect for someone like me who loves music and barely uses a phone.
i do however support linux and their ideology.
i HATE fanboys. face it, linux is still CRAP for user friendliness. it still needs a lot of work to be totally awesome but its getting there
@ArabianStig srsly? linux is so user-friendly, my 8 year old brother and 6 year old sister have a macbuntu laptop and love it to bits! their cousins of the same age also love it! they say that it is faster and more fun then my parents iMac or even my modded win7 machine...
My xdaIIi is on it's last legs.. hope It makes it through to when the consumer product gets released. I haven't got the time to be tinkering with the thing, so I'm really glad theres guys out there like you that are putting in all the groundwork for us lazy buggers later on!
It'd be great to see all of the openmoko, ports, comparison of the screen size to some common object. Does it have a commandprompt? Will I be able to attach a wireless usb device to it, and use the phone for ssh? Will I be able to download stuff from gutenberg org and read it? Does it have a web-browser yet, even just a text based one?
Neo does not support "wireless USB" but its USB-Host support allows you to add a dongle to enable this functionality. It comes with an installed xterm and you can use a BlueTooth keyboard (and mice) on the Neo to enter larger texts or use USB networking to SSH into the device to get a "real" login. It does not come w/ an ebook reader by default but eventually one will be made to work with it (its awsome uber-high-rez screen practically begs to be used as e-book reader!)
We need linux os for iPhone - Thats ALL. Period.
All this hacking with junk devices and stupid nintendo, nokia, motorola, moko, sexo devices is childrens play.
Someone show me FULL WORKING linux os + kde4 desktop on iPhone and Im sold.

Well, english isn't my natural language so I try to respond as best as I can.
The Iphone has got many eye-candy stuff but it's limited in basilar stuff such mms, bluetooth transfers, etc.
So, I think the Openmoko platform and the Neo1973 can really be Iphone's enemies.

Oh mine! I've casually seen those videos! LOL
Well, I hope it won't blend!

Does it blend?

I can't show more stuff because this video isn't mine! I took it from a web page, as you can see in the description.
And, yes, it has a terminal and it has a browser (I think it's firefox-based).
