Hey dude, nice jump, high five on completing your training, i have a few question, see im 16 and want to do this so bad, is there a certain age? Ive been researching this, and yes i am serious. Ever since i started jumping off the local bridges into water ive wanted to go higher. This is higher, i want it bad. The rush has to be awesome.
a lot of dzs (especially in England) let you jump from 16, though some may frown upon you going straight to AFF, they may want you to do a couple of RAPS or tandem jumps first. I started not long after my 17th birthday and i'm still loving it. be warned though - it's an expensive hobby! :P
glad u like my weird exits, this is not how it should be done , but i was a student so me and the world can laugh at these! the rocking is due to not having the correct body position, it does disappear with practise (glad it made you laugh, makes me laught too, thats why i put them on here...lol)
the landing was a gusty day (borderline jumpable) and i caught a crosswind gust at flare height and dropped a toggle while compensating, 2 bounces on concrete and a few bruises, grazes and torn shoulder ligament later, i will avoid gusty wind days in the future!!
i live in melton mowbray so usually jump at langar, might see you in the summer (you'll recognise the black and yellow!)
only 47 so far, had a bad landing last sept and have been recovering, hopefully will get back in the air this summer....glad it made you laugh, it does me too!
I'm sorry to hear you took a spill. I laugh at it only because it reminds me how much the determined flailer i was. What happened on your landing? What part of the country are you in? Perhaps we'll see each other on the boogie circuit this summer

Is it possible to skydive when the sun is setting?
jayhelldee 3 years ago
yes, as long as there is enough light to see the dz from altitude and the pilot can see the runway
