be aware of jingtea total rip of. has sent one unit of li shan tea for 50 g that was ok and when i ordered 250g they send totally bad quality, with different taste and totally bad leave quality and really bad rolling quality.
oh i digress i prefer white tea on its second steeping after about two minutes this means you dont have some of the green tea flavours that you have in the first steeping, allso you get more of a sweet and luxurious taste to the brew. (tea connaisseuring is an aqured taste the untrained and unrefined pallete cannot detect subtle flavours that lurk in white teas and oolongs nor the nuttynessin the third brewing of assam.)
actually specialty tea makers such as Silver Needles recommend steeping their white tea longer than it's more mature counterparts, even up to 15 minutes (personally I like it best around 12 minutes)
@raigekimaru time for brewing tea really depends on the size and kinds of teapot you use. Usually, the smaller teapot needs less time than the larger one. Anyway, if you brew it correctly, it should not contain any bitterness and rough when you drink it.

true. white tea has a tremendous amount of variance depending on water temperture, pot size, leaf/water ratio and personal tastes; unlike green tea which is a little more precise in terms of at least the 1st and 3rd variables previously listed.

FYI, white tea cost ~$150/lb!
Acceptable green tea > $40/lb.
Still good stuff.
