I did not see the firework show, but seeing it on video, looks like they used a fair amount of fireworks from China and Italy...especially for the cake stuff in the grand finale. It just shows how very dangerous fireworks can be...even when professionals shoot them off.

This was to celebrate the opening of another part of River Walk. You almost can walk from downtown Chicago to the lakefront right along the river.

I was at the event at River level. Yes it was very loud. Louder than a Spinal Tap Show!
