  • It's so awesome knowing I live 10 minutes from here, By the way, in the real airport, theres not trees or houses on the left side of the runway.

  • @MGCMuseGuitarCovers Really! I also live in Leeds! The default airport isn't realistic at all (no runway slope etc.) Also, even though I have GEX Europe the trees + houses are still badly misplaced unfortunately, although for the most part is't much better than default fsx, thanks for watching! :)

  • Great video! Nice graphics, I'm still using an old computer, which isn't that fast... Just to get an idea, how much did your pc cost? And is it custom built? Thanks in advance

  • @PorscheMan007 Thanks! and mine cost close to £1000 (which is a HUGE amount I know) but it's worth it. It isn't custom built by me but it was marketed as a 'custom gaming pc' by the company I bought it from, hope this helps :)

  • @FSXpilot767 okay! I will start saving money ;) Thanks for the reply!

  • Also just wondering what do you have your autogen settings on?

  • @utd4life09 dense but this is with GEX Europe scenery :)

  • What ground scenery is this?

  • @utd4life09 Ground Environment X Europe :)

  • Great video, digging the graphics. I think the only thing i would say is that you need to disengage reverse thrust at 60kts not 45 lol. Just use manual braking after Reverse thrust. Great vid tho

  • @lolypop123454 Hehe thanks, I understand it says that in the manual but if you noticed I would have missed the last exit to the runway, on this approach I've observed many pilots in real life leave the reverse thrust on at 80% N1 until about 10kts!!! :OP And yeah I was manual breaking before I disengaged reverse thrust anyway :) Thanks for watching and commenting

  • I know this going to be a completely newb question, but here goes anyway -- whats the purpose of engaging APP mode on a VOR/LOC approach (non-precision approach)? Does it just provide you with the vertical G/S indicator on your PFD? Thanks.

  • @bcwlim No, it's not such a newb question! This approach was an ILS approach so the APP mode was used as normal. On a non-precision approach VOR/LOC or LNAV with VNAV would be used. Check out my tutorial on non-precision approaches for more info :)

  • PC Specs?

  • @FsxCaptainLukas on my channel on the right hand side :) thanks for watching!

  • excellent great vid

    superb graphics

  • @TheCannonconnor thanks a lot :D

  • @Mackatax Gees thanks for the bucket load of compliments... I'm better than most YouTubers and that's exactly what I am, a flight sim pilot not a pro.. I know my flying in this video wasn't too great but there's no need to comment, I know my faults and aim to improve: If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all.

  • @Mackatax what are you talking about? Nothing is steeper than usual in this approach other than the glidepath angle being more than usual (3.5 degrees as opposed to 3 degrees) I armed VOR/LOC well before localiser captured so nothing was steep there and engaged APP well before G/S capture... And I hope you're joking about the puke bag, a child's fairground ride would make them puke!!! LOL

  • @Mackatax was that my fault? No. Was I flying by the book? Yes. If boeing programmes VOR/LOC mode to be jerky as a pilot there's nothing I can do about that...

  • @FSXpilot767 Boeing didn't write the code for this sim PMDG did. I was probably being much to critical about your flying and your right you are much better than many who post videos on here. Still had fun watching. I'm removing my comments.

  • @Mackatax True! PMDG is pretty good but not exactly like the real thing! And thanks, I'm glad to hear it :))

  • @FSXpilot767 well... it is as close to the real thing you could get without touching a REAL live sim or even a real aircraft...

  • @TurbineProductionsX exactly... but its still around 5% out :P thats amazing for a desktop sim, it's just some people were saying it WAS the real thing lol thanks for watching! :D
