the double notes have starpower, so if they waited it would have overlapped and they wouldnt be able to use it directly after that.

no. they got the sp phrase and activated the instant they got it. their sp meter wasn't full. and directly their sp was used up, the fast double came buy and they didnt get the sp phrase over it. it would have given them a few more points
