it's called a peak. couldn't keep getting better forever. alot of experimental trance that led to this was amazingly uplifting, hard pounding and magical too. after this, trance became almost uniform in it's sound. now it's just an uninspiring strand of pop. look at the state of tiesto these days it's along fucking time since gourella.

its because anyone and everyone makes music, the filter that used to be record labels that took what was good and discarded what wasnt, doesnt exist anymore. sad but true.

back then, maybe 100-200 cd's were released worldwide every year, look at today, its probobly up in the 1500-2000... almost all on independent small labels without a distributer. i feel sorry for beatport etc, you really have to know what you want to get something good, you just cant pick one album on chance anymore...
