thank you for sharing, our Oscar will undergo amputation due to bone cancer in 2 days and this has helped show our family and friends that by amputating we are helping him survive... how is samwise doing?
I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for this video. Wednesday we are having our golden retreiver's left leg amputated due to a bone tumor. I was looking for a way to explain to my 3 year old what was going to happen. You have not only helped my 3 year old, but you have absolutely helped ease my fears of this coming Wednesday. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
No dry eyes here. Nice video, never heard the song either, so it was really quite moving. Had to amputate my youngun's front one at 6 wks, but he adjusted ok. he can run and outmaneauver the other ones pretty well.
waooo you are a lucky person with a luchy dod... i have not that lucky .. our pitbull female 7 years old with leg cancer... after 10 days she dont walk... im getting crazzy all ready :(
It's the pets that lose something that always seem the most remarkable to me. If a human loses a limb or an eye, they're sometimes incredibly mean about it and it changes them. For a dog or a cat, when they lose it life goes on.
My grandma's first shih tzu lost one of her eyes in a fight trying to protect her puppies. Ironically, four years later her son also lost one of his to infection. They're two of the sweetest and cutest dogs in the world. Go Sam, go!!!!
@N0Sc0p3V1d30s I am truly sorry to hear that. My Shadow is schedule to have her leg amputated this week for the same reason. This video really helps to accept the amputation.
Great video! Pets are family! Our cottontail bunny, BunBun, has had 2 surguries this year to remove a tumor that keeps returning. She's almost 8 yers old and it's too risky to remove again. We just love her like crazy and make every day great for her!
It's important to understand that life is about quality, not quantity. After amputation, 100% of the pain from his bone cancer was eliminated over night. Chances are cancer will metastasize to another limb or an organ like his lungs. Sam is happy and gets lots of attention which keeps him wagging his tail and wiggling his entire body. Samwise swims, hikes, and eats like a 100% healthy dog. He is truly happy. He is now 1 year post surgery with no complications. GO SAM!!! We LOVE you SO much!!

Excellent. Keep 'em coming! Samwise can help us show the world that its better to hop on three legs than to limp on four. Tripawds Rule!
