I may get flamed for this, but surely if the action is suspect, then it must be tested under match conditions. What is wrong about saying that? In isolation, the player may intentionally or unintentionally alter his action. I believe it could be accurately assessed using current super slo-mo technology, but I'm no bio-mechanist, so I may be wrong. I don't think the rules should be changed to accommodate players. Having said that, it would be sad if we couldn't see his amazing bowling.

My suspicion is that after it is shown that he does not chuck in match conditions, they will cry that he should be tested in every match from then on to guarantee. They may even lower themselves to the point of saying all the wickets Murali has taken till the point of in-match testing started are in doubt as you can't go back in time and test him during those matches
Essentially, "guilty until proven innocent" with the added clause "innocence may be impossible to declare in the case of Murali".
