@AncestorAvenger .............. He has some excellent pointers. This Rabbi knows his stuff & rightfully points out the many falsehoods of the Greco-Roman Jesus. Falsehoods that have entrapped nations & generations for over a Millenia. Falsehoods that have generated too much persecution for the children of Abraham for even longer...
MATTHEW 24 taken "in context" has its proper "last generation" meaning. Taken the way this Rabbi has spoken it & "Yes". It does appear the way he portrays it. Nothing new there. You can take any verse from Tanakh or Brit chadash & twist it.
Why must Messiah die first then return for the marriage ceremony later.?
Any Jew knows the ways of the Sanctuary, that the High priest takes on the sins of the people & symbolically transfers them to the scape Goat once a year. Can you see the pattern yet
@DMRH69 Please forgive me but Matthew quotes Jesus as saying to his desciples "THIS generation" not "LAST generation". This was in response to verse 3 when "the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
@Jews4Judaism . Friend. If I may be so bold as to point out the "Future prophecies" that Yeshua is fortelling in the previous verses command that one talks in the "3rd person catergory" to maintain correct grammar. Also because they are not of that present or past moment. The (in-the-future) question from His disciples established that immediately. His term "This generation" can gramatically / correctly be used in the 3rd person as well as your suggested 1st person perspective.
@DMRH69 some of you standing here will not see death til you see the son of man coming etc etc etc. why do you guys always ignore that one and try to explain the 'this generation' passage. im still waiting for the explanation of some of you standing here. are they still alive? i hope they have a good moisturizer.
@aviyahu01 ..... Friend. You have me on that one for the moment. However, as with any Parsha within Torah, if at first a condradiction appears, you must go deeper as Torah never contradicts. So, I shall research. However, Brit Chadasha lacks the expert commentary of the Mishna etc to make the job easy so please be patient. B'Ezrat HaShem
@aviyahu01 ... Friend. You have lost me on the "I'm really surprised to hear.....". As stated, Torah never contradicts. On this we agree. If there is the appearence of a contradiction, it's usually due to the student mis understanding (as is often the case for this sinner) & thus requiring deeper research to clear the matter. I'm sure you agree that if anyman suspects Torah contradicts, then its the mans (lack of) understanding & not Torah which is at fault.
@DMRH69 in other words why on earth would someone consider the so-called "new testament" Torah? it contradicts in so many places its amazing anyone believes it. its creepy for someone to call n.t. Torah, and just plain wrong!
@aviyahu01 Friend. You have me confused now. Where do I say Brit Chadasha is Torah...? I can see a reference in a reply to both Torah & Brit Chadasha which as all know are seperate entities but I simply cant see what your suggesting. Can you be specific on where I state Brit Chashada IS Torah....?
On a seperate point, the Brit Chashada can be considered a Messianic Mishna that explains many of the prophecies from both Torah & the prophets about the coming Messiah.
@Jews4Judaism ... Friend. On viewing the Aramaic Peshitta version of the "Book of Mattityahu" we see a translation variation from the Greek. You would agree the Aramaic is closer to Hebrew than Greek, thus why this Peshitta text is considered to be far more accurate than Greek versions.
