The other thing is that this letter is directed to the married women of the Church of Corinth. The word used in 1 cor 14 is sigao which means to hold your peace and not to never utter a word.

The saddest part of all this is the increasing number of lost souls. I also wanted to point out.....all of this is why male leaders battle women in ministry so hard. they say we are too emotional and that we do things out of order. There has to be a resolution that is right and godly/Christ-like. When Judas was replaced (and I'm not comparing Pstr Zachary to Judas) the was a casting of lots to get a new leader. So it wont hurt to allow the people to choose.

I'm so disappointed in her. What exactly is happening to Without Walls? Why leave them to go over to NDCC when there are other candidates without other obligations? I dont understand that. That choice should have been made by all of the people of NDCC. If the U.S. can put together an election system to include millions, surely this counsel can impliment an election system for a few thousand. Right? The people deserve it. It's respectful. God made man &called him Adam...Eve was 1 w/ Adam until God pulled her out of him and then the "male" Adam gave the "female" Adam the name Eve. The writer of Timothy says "I" dont permit...not "God" doesnt permit (also see Acts 2:17). As for female authority over men, Deborah was judge over Israel, matter of fact the 4th... she was a prophetess! So I guess God didn't mind female authority

The context was directed at married women and it is more than evident because it uses the word husbands. obviously a single woman does not have a husband. The other thing is that this letter is directed to the married women of the Church of Corinth. The word used in 1 cor 14 is sigao which means to hold your peace and not to never utter a word.

The point Paul taught was order and that men are to rule over the woman as God ordained not that a woman should never speak. Part of the problem is that you are not reading the text in it's original language and are reading from a book with translational errors.

@MrEnlightenup The word for silence there in Tim is the greek word Hesuchia which denotes keeping peace it is not the same as the greek word phimoo which means to never utter a word Act 18:26 a man and his wife expounded the scriptures. A woman may expound the scriptures and acts as a helpmeet she is not to dominate obviously a prophetess much teach the revelation that God gave her so it is clear your interpretation is in error
