  • @onelonedork what would you recommend for a 50mm equivalent for a crop censor camera?

  • @Bertziethegreat The sigma 30mm f1.4 does a very good job for the price. If you have the budget, the Canon 35mm f1.4 is also a great lens.

  • for a second there i thought you were never going to blink.

  • YOUR DOG IS SO FLUFFY!

  • Im going crazy! What do you like better the Sigma 30mm or this one?!!

  • what about the 28 2.8?

  • man, i hate the ending of your videos.

  • Good videos, Very informative. However, the comedy bit can be skipped. You're not funny,

  • would you recommend this for cinematography?

  • I learnt nothing as I don't own any of the other lenses You compared this to...

  • what lens did you use to shoot the parts when you are talking? It looks really sharp in 360p

  • At the end of this review, the presenter looks like the ass of a Baboon!

  • I got a question, for the comparison video between the 35 and 28 (A puppy was in it), is both camera on the same settings? The 35mm video seems slightly higher exposure than the 28.

  • @SnIpErX07 Same settings on both cameras. I wasn't really sure what caused the exposure difference either.

  • @SnIpErX07 Exposure can very lens to lens , even on same body. Usually more so with telephoto lens, colours seem much better ont he 35 1.4 L but the price is scary. That and I can't help think that 35 is just too long for crop when your after a 50mm like perspective.

  • shave that fucking beard

  • what a knob

  • the last part of your videos always disturbs me... lol

  • Prime perform better than any zoom in the same focal range.....what does that mean?

  • @idkidkikik Prime lenses (fixed focal length) have almost always have sharper images than compared to zoom lenses at the same focal length. Prime's have less glass and moving parts in them, so all the focus in making them is on ensuring the best image quality

  • hey guys i need wide angle lens with 2.8 aperture but my budget is only $200 -300 can you help me what brand fits on my budget?

  • @JohnboyStudios rokinon is probably the cheapest wide angle lens I can think of. They have a fish eye 8mm f3.5 and a wide angle 14mm f2.8. There is no auto focus, but I think that's the best you can get in that price range. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @onelonedork i'll check that out! soon.. big thanks :)

  • Hahahaha... Subscribed. :D

  • The "Nooob" part of your little theme song sounds just like Gypsy from MST3K. :)

  • The sound you played when "holding" the subscribe button sounded exactly like something from Black and White (the old pc game) =P

  • i'm willing to spend around 650 dollars on a lens for my T2i, i already have a 50mm 1.8. Any suggestions on a lens i should buy? oh and its mainly for filming :)

  • @tocool4rschool Well if you're looking for very wide the tokina 11-16mm f2.8 is a good buy and if you're looking for walk around then the sigma 30mm f1.4 is probably your best bet.

  • @tocool4rschool I have a sigma 30mm 1.4 for my 60d (same sensor as u) and it works great as a normal prime for crop sensors (equals 48mm) That would be my suggestion.

  • @philj212 yes.

  • @philj212 Does the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 make a lot of sound when focusing? Will it fit on a 5D?

  • @pdlpictures In my experience it is quiet focusing. It is a very high quality lens. (Just make sure you get a good sample, u know sigma:P) 5d, not sure but i doubt it as the lens was specifically made as a normal (48mm) lens for APS-C sensors.

  • @philj212 So i should buy it in a store and try it out first? I'm looking to buy my first camera, so i don't know a whole lot... well i do know that stock lens are really shitty!! All i know, is that i can't afford a full frame, and want to be as close to the 50mm as possible without spending to much. Night photography and Video will be its main fonction, thats why i dont want a noisy autofocus.

  • @pdlpictures i use a 60d. it seems to me like the lens you are looking for is the sigma 30 1.4. Yes, have them (or you) check the lens for sharpness before buying.

  • I highly recommend the Sigma 28 1.8 Macro. It is great and is full frame sensor too!

  • @gabel1337 it's not bad, the focus motor is a little loud though.

  • this beats the sigma 30mm easy... especially corner to corner sharpness

  • Cool Vid, great idea.

I just bought a Cannon T2i in December and changed the firmware Magic Lantern. Once I got over the audio problems I've able to take some really nice video's.

  • id rather get the sigma 30mm 1.4 for cheaper and better lol

  • @filmsallday I agree 100%.

  • Review the 14mm f2.8 L II already!!

  • @morelmo You should send me one and I'll get right on it!

  • Hey, I don't got the money for the canon 28mm f1.8, but I have enough money for the canon 28mm f2.8. Will the f2.8 be a good chose or should I wait, and buy the f1.8?

  • Comment removed

  • @NickRohdeTV why would you need it? take more pictures of urself?

  • I have the 28/1.8, I like it and it's pretty good but at 1.8 its soft as hell...

  • @Schaaf I agree. It has always seemed a little over priced for the quality of optics.

  • Nice Little review!

  • Thanks for the review!
