I used to watch this with my little sister all the time! Brings back so many memories! It got bagged by the critics, but you know what? It was a great fun movie and the happy ending ROCKS! :-)

Polish program "The Sea" had exactly this leadership without subs. This program was in TV in years 80. and 90., so, we, poles know it very well :D

They do this intro (for purposes of the credits)but then it cuts to a guy on the beach and hes standing next to a tv and he says "this is how it was done on the old days" or something to that effect. Then it is the part were shes wearing the glasses and has the boom-box.-hope this clears it up for you.

They cut out a lot of the songs from Penzance - this movie is a gentle parody of it. Frankly, I like this song better than 'Sherry'.

The only song I really liked in this movie. Kristy probably never looked better, but that's not saying much. Chris Atkins is probably prettier.

This movie is such a classic I can't get enough of it I can watch it time and time again and enjoy it each time. I think it holds it own even today as a great movie.

Apples and oranges - but I think the Pirate Movie has a lot more laughs and Ted Hamilton for sure beats Kevin Kline as the Pirate King.

Thats AWESOME !!! When i was a kid (in Poland) this clip was opening of sunday TV program called "Sea". Lots of kids were waiting for sunday to watch this opening at 12:00. My friends gonna be veeeery happy when i show this to them :)
