Have you ever done an overnight trip. I took this train, the california zephyr and the coast starlight to LA in August. This train was about an hour late, The zephyr was 10 hours late, and the starlight was 20 minutes early, but still the best trip of my life

I took the LSL to chicago from boston and then took the empire builder to whitefish, montana. it was like about 60 hours one way. we went coach the whole way. its not that bad actually. but the lsl to chicago was late 4 hours and i barely got any sleep.

@TNT314159 a sleeper passenger has a bedroom for the entire trip. coach riders stay in seats. this video is train 449. it returns as train 448. usually the boston sleeper is turned the other way. starting from SPG i don't see that lake.

Youtube is bad at slowing down videos. It can only go by tenths of a second (or every 3 frames for my 30fps videos).

If you guys wanna see a better version of the clip slowed down click the first video response (the one to the left).

I had my tripod with me and one of the conductors let me take some shots inside the car I was in and out the window with it when they were done collecting tickets after Framingham.

It does seem worse, but here's the weirder thing. The first time I watched it the video had HIGHER quality than it does now and I didn't have a button then either. A few people I know are having the same problem today, but I just assumed they defaulted the HQ. This is definitely not HQ though. Even the &fmt=18 won't work.

Yeah I tried the &fmt=18 and that made the video size bigger but did nothing for the quality. If you watch the video from my channel or Google Video however the HQ option works fine... I guess youtube is being pissy tonight or something.

HA like it's just tonight. Since about Friday morning Youtube's been converting every channel to beta. In case you haven't heard (I know you have) we aren't allowed to choose what channel type we like anymore. I think this move tonight is them trying to get us to watch videos from the channel instead of here so we don't comment. Really weird.

That is really weird and annoying. On my older laptop the beta channels are so slow in scrolling and playing videos. I'm afraid that this deters some people with older/slower computers from watching videos from within the channel.

So now I have to choose between laggy HQ video in the channel or smooth low quality video on the video's page. wtf

Welcome to my world. I have a very tiny ram (512 MB) which used to be ok, but for some reason it's gotten slower and slower over time and now a small 1 minutes video takes me 5 minutes to watch. I actually had yours kept up on a tab for some 30 minutes before I was able to watch it.
