They probably could improve the battery performance when new technology in batteries is available. However, I found that the pre gets good battery life as long as you don't have applications running in the background when you are on standby mode

the pre's battery is good if your not doing anything but texting or talking on the phone, but as soon as you multitask like with music or the web, you tube, etc, thats thats when the battery life sucks.

I can deal with that though. Keep it plugged in at work or in my car or simply carry another battery since they are removable on the Pre.

For me it's worth it seeing how great the Pre is. But you are right, the battery life is less than stellar but still not too bad.

The toshiba Tg01. They just need to bring it over to the USA now. In comparison, it slams the iphone in every which way. The interface sucks but because its WM, its changable to anything.. like the docomo review.

99% of the pda type phones like this, you can only get 1-1.5 days out of the battery.

You just deal with having chargers at work at home and one in the car.

Plus you can get the "touchstone" charger and never plug the phone in again.

If I remember correctly, there were lines several hours long.. and that device was $500 when it first came out. The Pre is $199 @ launch. What is your argument??

Pre sold maybe 50,000 units (at most 100,000) release weekend. The iPhone sold over 1M.

Pre has sold about 400,000 TOTAL. (There are NO worldwide Pre sales. WTF are you talking about?!?)

Significant numbers of iPhone customers are new to their carrier. Almost no Pre customers are new to Sprint.

So Sprint managed to slow their out-of-control churn rate, but gained almost no new subscribers (i.e. not making significantly increased revenue.)

Also when it comes to computing power gamers generally have the most powerful home computers and when they choose computers to game on guess wat... THEY CHOOSE WINDOWS 10 out of 10 times. Because you can't even upgrade a mac, you can pretty much only upgrade memory that's it.
