Brownian motion is also called random walk. The particle will choose a new direction and speed within certain boundaries, which will make it stumble around randomly.
The effect is that the individual particles does not follow a random line but moves randomly as it goes along
it's very very helpful.. awesome realistic fire indeed
I liked your appreciation to the guy who guide u through out this tut (as I appreciate this tut to you), as well as your nice comment on brownian button..:D
yes. but u would need to render out the fire, then use all images and make 1 image, with all frames in it, then u add that image as a animated texture to a plane. and it should work ^^. U betetr serach around some if u need better info
Brownian motion is descriptive of chaotic swirling in a fluid medium. If you looked at the molecules in a heated liquid; say a nice, hot cup of tea; they are not static. They swirl and eddy and bounce because of convection currents randomly occuring in the liquid due to heat energy. Brownian motion settings in Blender simulate this random 3D movement in the particles. Hope this helps. Brilliant tutorials, by the way! I'm having fun learning from you. :)
Thanks for the information. Brownian motion always seemed to me like the particles are trying to avoid each other. That fits quite well with your exlanation that it simulates heat in a molecular level.
Realize that I made the biggest misleading message I've ever written. Changed a part of the text which completely changed the meaning of the last part of the text. =P However what I meant is if it's possible to use the fire as-is with particles and such in a game (i.e. if the game engine could run it)...
I actually didn't think of making an animated texture like that, but I think it would work. =)
Is it possible to use this in the gameengine with glsl? I've been looking for a way to create a goodlooking camp fire and this looks awsome! =D The easiest way however would be to use a plane, with an animated texture, that always faces you, but I haven't been able to find any animated fire-texture on google and if this would work in the GE I could create it myself. =)
Thats actually a great idea. I mean you could make the tutrial until the part with the set alpha, then render only your fire with rgba channels and use it as your fire texture.
The only problem is you can't make a real good looking loop.
Fantastic tutorial Nion, I like the way you explain each node's function. See my video response above. I tried adding a Kirsch filter and made the geometry more complex to teach myself more about composting.
Es war auch mein erstes Video Tutorial. Hab in den nachfolgenden versucht mich sprachlich etwas zu bessern, aber dass ich deutsch bin wird man mir wohl trotzdem noch sehr leicht anmerken.
hi, i have a 750 frames animation, i wud like to add partcles on it, i changed the start and end setting to 1-750 frames on the particle systems, but it stop in 250 frame, cud give some idea on this pls i need help tnx
In the particle settings, there is a window called "Bake". There you can adjust the real end time of the simulation. You have only changed the time for particle emission. To make the difference clearer: It could even make sense to have a longer simulation time than the emission time, because after stopping to emit particles, they will still have some life time left.
But I've just uploaded the video today, so lets see what else is about to come.
I guess you mean the monkey with that metal like material, don't you? You could search for a explode modifier tutorial in youtube. That might already help you a bit.
whats up with the buzzy :P I'm sure if u can do this u can use final cut for 3 seconds to correct audio

Most time in the video I used the arrow keys. You can also press alt+a to play the animation (esc to stop).

Yes, you can use it in the game engine, but you have to make a trigger todo so.

How do you play the particle feed to see what it's going to do? I'm new to Blender...

either alt+a to play the animation (esc to stop) or use the arrow keys to go single frames forwards.

ah, yes. I remember now...

DarkSpiritSouls 2 years ago
Camstudio. But it isn't fullscreen. I recorded a 1280x720 region of my screen and adjusted the window.

Hmm, I think I'll try myself then and see if it works in the GE and otherwise try the method with rendering the fire =)
