My own Etkey was born and raised in Kazan', his dad was Tatar, his mom Yakutian, but he lived with Tatar culture and language (may him rest in peace).

I'm very proud of my origin. Even if I was born in Saint Petersburg and raised in Sweden by an all-ethnic Russian mother. I will never forget my Turkic roots.

This song reminds me very well of my Etkey and the beauty of Tatarstan. I envy Tatars who have not lost their native tongue.

To Turks: Alsou share the same blood to the Esui and Esugen Khatuds of Chingiss Khan. But I don't think her mother is a pure tatar lady. I see some conflicts here. Kazakhs and Mongols are the same kind, despite religion and language, for example, Khalkha Mongols and the kazakhs of the great juz are mostly jhalairs. To others:If you consider kazakh and tatar as turks then mongols are turks too. The only thing is maybe the word "Turk" is not quite accurate, probably "Khun" is a better description.

i think you are very wrong pal. tatars are from mongol and uyghur blood. not only mongol.. they are half blood. they were forced to fight for genghis khan and their journey began. when genghis khan died tatar worriers were everywhere in genghis khan's empire. after they formed Crimean khaganate above the blacksea. being many years under the control of genghis khan they were called the sons of genghis khan.
