@ oexstremista - the idea of it is that you stop thinking and reacting with your body and ego (mind) after the point of exhaustion and cut with "no-mind" which is an ideal that kenshi are trying to reach through practise. Also it's just an incredible character and friendship building feat on it's own. I don't think I would last through it, this guy is extremely impressive as he did it in jodan which is more tiring in the first place. Please expand or correct me if anyone would like to.
@GettaRoboG It is called a tachikiri, it is a kendo event in which you fight bouts for 3 straight hours with 33 different opponents one at the time. This man, Ogata Shigeru 5dan, uses jodan-no-kamae or the fire stance, in which you hold the sword above your head, this is very tiring so no one had done tachikiri with it. The man who taught him kendo, his highschool teacher and an incredible kenshi, was supposed to fight the 33rd bout with him but we was killed in an accident before the event.
