  • yup just wack it with your camera :-)

  • were you certified?

  • Intro diving, they are having the excitement and fear you only experience a few times in your life.

  • very nice marine diversity but the only thing was the respect you guys had for aquatic life is really was shocking !!!

i'm a 12 year old kid and i have quite a lot of dives logged and i'm a junior advanced open water diver and what i just saw whas quite apalling !

you people are adults, come on !

i as a child work with reef gardeners and i protect and repair reefs so this kind of made me sad....

haven't you ever read padi guidelines ?

DO NOT TOUCH TOUCH OR HARASS AQUATIC LIFE PLEASE !

    Thank you

  • great footage

  • thanks for the video, it was beautiful.

i have been scuba diving before and really enjoyed it as you can calmly look onto a whole other plain of life. I was shocked to see how the sea cucumber was handled. i really think the most satisfying part of being down there is being able to experience without touch, sound, smell. you experience everything from a kind of aura. i hope next time you go you might be a little less intrusive for animals sake as well as your own.

    thanks again though, stunning.

  • its one sea cucumber. i dont think touching it is a big deal LOL

  • the person at 2:56 is finning really badly. Nice vid..it beats the murky british water.

  • Box jellies are seasonal and are stay in certain temperature water. This is how they forecast their population. Nets are to keep all sorts of "dangerous" animals out.

  • Bad buoyancy as well!!!

  • Is it safe to Scuba Dive in Australia? The Box Jellies are the reason there are nets all around the beaches

  • its absolutely safe to dive in Australia i dive here all the time

  • Tauchen im Klopeiner See Strandbad Süd Kärnten Österreich

  • oh what a beautilful place. id do anythin to go diving there. but im a little dissapointed, one of the first lessons u learn as a scuba diver is DONT TOUCH THE AQUTIC LIFE!!! anyway, cool vid XD

  • What you say about not touching the Aquatic life isn't true. They say to not touch it but if you realy want to touch it doesn't matter at all. Those animals don't mind it if you treath them right.

  • How do you know the animals don't mind you moron...did you discuss it with them?

  • @needsecretlink Dude, Animals in aquatic territory hardly feel anything at all.

Do some research before you start flaming.

  • And you've already demonstrated a few posts before me that you don't even know how deep the water you went swiming in was. In fact, you seem quite clueless on the sport in general. Rcheliboy put you on the straight and narrow and you have the cheek to call me a dumbass.

That's ironic to say the least. You think you know what you're talking about but you have no idea.

  • dude u are so right. this guy hasnt got a clue! first of all, he doesnt even no how deep he went, whcih is actually dangerous to say the least. he doesnt no how to handle aquatic life. and he thinks you have to be a pro diver to go as deep as u want. wrong! u can only go as deep as u want if ur a tech diver. and some pros arent tech divers. peace man! =)

  • No respect for the wildlife - imagine if i went into your house and started picking you up and touching you. Yeah, not nice is it?

  • Lol, dumbass...

When threatened, some sea cucumbers discharge sticky threads to ensnare their enemies. Others can mutilate their own bodies as a defense mechanism. They violently contract their muscles and jettison some of their internal organs out of their anus. The missing body parts are quickly regenerated.

Did you see the cucumber threatened??

  • Wow, what a classy guy. You started early with the insults.

Why do you have to touch them? That's my point. "Cos I'm curious" or anything along those lines don't make it acceptable - what a studid response.

  • ok got ur point.but it was the diving instructor who let us touch the sea cucumber.what r we suppose to do...there r lil communications when ur under water...i guess it was part of the tour.

  • @UberOne2010 hey man, go join P.E.T.A, i heard they need people, it a god damn sea cucumber, relax, they arent hurting the thing.

  • @atedol

  • @atedol

    Was this your first dive?

  • @atedol They purposly tell you do not disturb the wildlife.

  • Totally agree..touching anything while diving is SO uncool...really shows a lack of knowledge about responsible diving

  • @UberOne2010 one could say that about you if you eat meat... just a thought...

  • @UberOne2010 And i'm pretty sure if they could, they would.... don't be so naive of how nature works.

  • Great vid, i loved it, how deep is the barrier reef, cos i want to go now lol! Did u do any light or colour editing to the vid, i'll be goin somewhere tropical in summer-autumn time, and i wanna make a good vid! Did one of your friends film, or was there a dive leader who filmed for you?

  • First dive will only allow you 10 meters and the diving tours depending upon who you go with usually provides the video which you can purchase to keep.you can watch couple of GBR videos I have uploaded which was taken by me and my friends.

  • But how deep is the actual reef? I know they only take people to 10m on dsd, but is the deep 10m?

  • I think it's about 50m + deep. of course you can go as deep as you can if your a pro diver.

  • Thats not true at all, u can be pro but not trained to go to 60 for example. To go to 60m you would require gas blending and multipule tank usage, and possibly having tanks hanging from ropes at each decompression stop. Sometimes, police divers have their primary air source on the surface, and it is fed through a pipe, the tank on their back is the secondary. It requires training and 50m really is pushing the limits of recreational diving

  • oic

  • not neccessarliy, if ur a pro diver then ur porobaly allowed to go to 40m...or deeper. but to go as deep as u want have have to be a qualified tech diver. and some pros arent tech divers....

  • what happend to look and dont touch? always one

  • Ok...so it's 'just a sea cucumber' - still a marine animal in it's natuaral habitat being passed around like with what seems very little concern for it! - No respect shown! - shame, as it's a nice video!

  • beautiful video. It's disappointing that these divers don't have any respect for underwater creatures. You're suppose to refrain from touching these delicate animals as they can hurt you and you can hurt them. That should have been covered by the diving course but most people tend to ignore it when no one's looking.

  • dude they picked up a sea cucumber .. not exactly going extinct are they ? and did they damage any thing in the video ? .. yeh thought so

  • Hmmm--definitely a very insensitive way of dealing with creatures that can't defend itself. I'm sure they're not gonna show anything on the video "harming" creatures, they're too busy molesting them...dude! And dude, you can't be sure yourself that no damage was done! I certainly wouldn't want to be around these people who don't have any respect for wildlife!

  • Nice shots of the reef!
