aww totally not your fault!! silly horse LOL. i'd just say that when you came down that diagonal he was going a little faster---make sure you keep an even pace and if he speeds up like that give a quick half halt. but you guys are so great together. i can see red ribbons coming your way (or blue if you live in the u.s.) in canada, blue is 2nd place.

@horses4life232 And there's also something called a "collected canter", horses have many different speeds. I'm sure if you know anything in the horse world you've seen a horse "lope", I'm also fairly certain you've seen a horse do a jumper course at as fast of a "safe" canter they can go. When you're just jumping one jump, not some crazy ass jumper course, you collect up your horse and get the timing right so you don't kill yourself. "HALF HALT"'s exist for a reason.

He didn't refuse, it was just that I used to be really bad about getting ahead, and he was going to try to take the jump from a stride away but instead tripped, so I catapulted off. yeh well done but i think the reason you fell was because you wer going too fast. you pushed the horse up around the corner which gave you a very long totally wrong spot to the first. mayb you should try slowing down round the corners and sitting up. but i love your horse and i think you will be very good against the clock. jump offs that is :D

oh haha well he's actually a tennessee walker, so alot of it has to do with being gaited. although it is better. he still does it sometimes duing stadium and XC, but he usually doesn't do it in dressage. but yeah, cross-cantering sucks.

You stand up too much! When your stand up too much, you can fall of when the horse wont jump! I give you a lesson: When you feel when the horse is on the way up, you can stand up a little bit! ;) Good luck!
