Also, if they revealed all of Pein's secrets and techniques in that part of the arc, then what suspense is built up for Naruto vs Pein? In fact, Naruto wasn't stronger than Pein, only because of the Kyuubi was he allowed to defeat him.

Jiraiya and kakashi is much stronger then pain, they both could had defeat them, if jiraiya knew about pain abilities, he could defeat pain and kakshi died because he ran out of chakra, dude kakashi is a beast, that battle, he used a thunder shadow clone, 2 kumai, raikiri, and raikiri wolf, and beside kakashi is not a uchiha, so his sharingan will always drain him, so cut his so slack, and pain even stated that kakashi is that kind of person that must be kill, or may post a problem later

Jiraiya had to die so he can find out things about pain. Besides even if he destroyed all pains, pain would still be alive because Nagato is the one controlling the pains. the pains are mere puppets. Besides EVERY main character can live, this manga/anime is about sorrow, and learning to move on. Although it sucks that Jiraiya died, it was needed to progress the story
I know that no one liked that fact that Jiraiya died but that fact is pain is stronger. One on one I personally believe the Jiraiya could have taken on, if not defeated just about anyone. However he was facing six different people with superior tactics. So even though Jiraiya death was an unfortunately one...it still made sense to me that it happened.

I felt like if you are going to kill a ninja as strong as Jiraiya at least give him a death to someone who actually beats him. Pein is stronger than Jiraiya as proven in the fight against Naruto, but he did not display that same strength when he fought Jiraiya. That's all I was explaining in this video.
um.. wasnt at that time pain was pretty much immmortall so no mattter how jeraiya kept killing them they would eventually find him. also jeraiya only toook down three of the pains, not to mentions that at the time he didnt learn pain secret until the end. and even then he hadnet dicovered which of the pains could resurect the others. in the fight it wasnt about strrengh but diseption and pain was better at it than jeraiya. a loss is a loss and there was no way he could win without info.

.....you stated jiraiya's ultimate resengan was good? not true, the point of resengan is to make a tightly compacted ball of energy, ultimate resengan is alot more energy so it can be bigger, however doesn;t matter how strong, pain has an ability to absorb ALL ninjutsu, so jiraiya's ninjutsu, = useless. you underestimate pain, he has a counter to everything, only way to beat him is to know what each pain does before finding out the hard way. Yes, Jiraiya didn't know Pain's secret, but Pain who is supposed to be a Sage of Six Path's descendant, and the only known current possesor of the rinnegan doesn't seem to be able to do much. Yes the Deva Path can manipulate gravity, and thats pretty cool, but is that it? Jiraiya seemed a much more accomplished ninja to me as well. But I guess if he didn't know his secret, especially about the ressurecting Pain, then it would be hard to beat pain.
You know Animal Path is the one that summons and his summons(according manga) are special(or they have special abilities, like the dog for example). Jiraiya made a ultimate rasengan but Preta path "sucked" it all out. And Naraka and Outer path can revive people(like he did with the three paths that Jiraiya had already killed). The only thing that Jiraiya did was to sent info on Pain. The genjutsu was cast by the sages, not him.
ok Behind Pain(in a nutshell) Ok so there are 6 pains each has one special ability, summoning ect, they are controlled by one person named negato usingthe renegan(idk how to spell it) and the peircings that each of the paths have, as long as there are the peircings in the body, the body is controllable whether dead or not, nough said.
first of all it's pein. secondly he's unbeatable because of the fact that he has 6 paths, or bodies, and within those six paths is a reviver. but if you knew all that. all you have to do is kill the reviver first.

Well Pein is actually the name of all 6 of the Body's that Nagato (The actual person controlling the 6 Paths) controls with his Rinnegan. All 6 of the paths share the same vision, and each one of those bodies can do one type of Jutsu. That is why Ero Sennin couldn't beat Pein at first. Like dabeast10345 said, once the Nakara Path is destroyed then that means that non of Pein's bodies that get destroyed won't be able to be brought back...

i have seen these episodes the main reason why jiraya lost is because he didnt know pain's secret and cause one of the pains ripped i think his right arm off. he could of escaped but instead he sent a message to naruto on the geezer toad's back which looked like numbers but were letters.well that is what was in the series.
Jiraya lost mainly cause of that he didnt know Pain's secret. He thought he killed three of the pain (with the illusion jutsu) and let down his guard which led to the fatal backstab from the re-risen pain bodys. Every one loses against Pain if they do not know his secret (The bodys would just keep reviving). If Jiraya had known his secret from the start (which was the reason why he went there in the first place), he would have a much greater chance of winning.
if you watch or read it, jiraiya finds out pains ability but one of them crushes his throat. then one says he was too late in finding out and thats when all of them stabbed him in the back

@CrazyUberix nope sorry he's dead. pain only ressurects some of the people he killed in konoha not everybody. plus he is only able to ressurect people he has killed in a short period of time, that is why he doesn't wait until he has recovered his chackra and sacrifices himself. if he had waited a a day or so he wouldnt be able to resurrect anyone.

Pein could easily kill Jiraiya - yeah Jiraiya is very strong even in hermit mode.
I have to comment one of you that is saying that Jiraiya could kill Itachi - i have to say he can't - if Itachi wanted to he could kill Jiraiya and if Itachi had his full eyesight - then he would be even more powerfull than he was. And yeah he dies to Sasuke but he only died cause he wanted to die.

I know that no one liked that fact that Jiraiya died but that fact is pain is stronger. One on one I personally believe the Jiraiya could have taken on, if not defeated just about anyone. I felt like if you are going to kill a ninja as strong as Jiraiya at least give him a death to someone who actually beats him. Pein is stronger than Jiraiya as proven in the fight against Naruto, but he did not display that same strength when he fought Jiraiya. That's all I was explaining in this video.

um.. wasnt at that time pain was pretty much immmortall so no mattter how jeraiya kept killing them they would eventually find him. also jeraiya only toook down three of the pains, not to mentions that at the time he didnt learn pain secret until the end. and even then he hadnet dicovered which of the pains could resurect the others. in the fight it wasnt about strrengh but diseption and pain was better at it than jeraiya. a loss is a loss and there was no way he could win without info.

I agree, I had this argument with a friend. Yes, Jiraiya didn't know Pain's secret, but Pain who is supposed to be a Sage of Six Path's descendant, and the only known current possesor of the rinnegan doesn't seem to be able to do much. Yes the Deva Path can manipulate gravity, and thats pretty cool, but is that it? Jiraiya seemed a much more accomplished ninja to me as well. But I guess if he didn't know his secret, especially about the ressurecting Pain, then it would be hard to beat pain.

You know Animal Path is the one that summons and his summons(according manga) are special(or they have special abilities, like the dog for example). Jiraiya made a ultimate rasengan but Preta path "sucked" it all out. And Naraka and Outer path can revive people(like he did with the three paths that Jiraiya had already killed). The only thing that Jiraiya did was to sent info on Pain. The genjutsu was cast by the sages, not him.

Well Pein is actually the name of all 6 of the Body's that Nagato (The actual person controlling the 6 Paths) controls with his Rinnegan. All 6 of the paths share the same vision, and each one of those bodies can do one type of Jutsu. That is why Ero Sennin couldn't beat Pein at first. Like dabeast10345 said, once the Nakara Path is destroyed then that means that non of Pein's bodies that get destroyed won't be able to be brought back...

Jiraya lost mainly cause of that he didnt know Pain's secret. He thought he killed three of the pain (with the illusion jutsu) and let down his guard which led to the fatal backstab from the re-risen pain bodys. Every one loses against Pain if they do not know his secret (The bodys would just keep reviving). If Jiraya had known his secret from the start (which was the reason why he went there in the first place), he would have a much greater chance of winning.

Jiraiya is alive, just bare with me a moment, Kishimoto wanted fans to be sad cry and killed awesome character, BUT ! after Naruto beats Pain Nagato, Pain ressurects everyone he killed in Konoha village but he killed Jiraiya so he was secretly revived AND ! Jiraiya will appear in manga soon. don't worry Jiraiya is not dead :) Kishimoto wants you to think that.

@CrazyUberix nope sorry he's dead. pain only ressurects some of the people he killed in konoha not everybody. plus he is only able to ressurect people he has killed in a short period of time, that is why he doesn't wait until he has recovered his chackra and sacrifices himself. if he had waited a a day or so he wouldnt be able to resurrect anyone.

Give me a good reason why Jiraiya would want to blow up any city? And one on one none of the Pain can beat Jiraiya.. so therefor Jiraiya is stronger since he took out 3 at once.

Jiraiya Almost won. He had pain or pein whatever it is. but he had him on the ropes for while. But Pain just had to win this one. Just for Naruto to get stronger. ya know? If he didn't die Naruto wouldn't be the hero of the story. Jiriya was my fav character. But he juust had to die. Sorry man.

If I were in charge of the series I'd have Naruto GROW UP and forget about Sasuke...
Actually USE his Wind Affinity to learn some justus that aren't close range...
Probably have him go off on a trip to learn a Tai jutsu....

They whole story is about naruto trying to bring back sasuke. He has pretty much finished off the akatsuki
and even at that long range wouldent be that much fun for a main charecter

The sad thing about the Naruto series now is the fact that the strenght of a character just suddenly brought down just for plot development...
Naruto has: Rasengan jutsus, Shadow Clones, Hermit Mode, Kyuubi Chakra, Toad Contract...
He's Kage Level with JUST 5 things... I mean sure there are other things but these are the main ones...
These Ninjas only learn quite a few things and suddenly their strong....

there are plenty of evidence that support pain IS in fact stronger then jiraiya. pain when he was ONLY a child defeated a dude that not even tsunade+jiraiya+orochimaru couldnt even defeat when they were fighting him together! xD the onl reason jiraiys strongest konaha ninja is cause salamender guy that useta be cheif of amagakure didnt kill him

@lolwhatever85 LOl, wow what Manga are you reading. the only reason that the 3 sannins couldnt beat Hanzo was because they were stillytoung and where NOWHERE close to being as powerful as they would eventually become. Hanzo himself told the sannins that they would become stronger. Pain also fought Hanzo with his 2 friends when he was young and got hiss ass whooped.

i think Pain would have won anyway just because of God Realm's ability. plus it's a 6 v 1. I think what he meant about "we would have never won" is that he had to fight Jiraiya in a way that would ultimately have jiraiya find out his secret. kinda confusing but ya. jiraiya was still hella awesome in the fight. (SPOILER) plus naruto sage mode > jiraiya hermit mode and yet pain was still able to take him down even with naruto knowing his abilities (not counting kyuubi).
