  • brunei nice place...not soo hectic like kuching or kk...

  • Hi there, those interested in Rainforest experience ,check out Sumbiling Eco Village, an ecotourist paradise in Brunei. One of the best in Borneo

  • @borneobug Thanks for the info. I have checked it out and now I am interested. Do you know any good tour agency that provides this type of tour? Do I need to go to Bandar Seri Begawan first?

  • But some may think Brunei is one of the most suitable places for them to have finally regain ease and peace. Thats what a holiday should be. Especially for those who want to relax and release their stress (not just for some alcoholic reason) every place has its own advantages and disadvantages and Brunei does have something different. Think generally guys not just from your own side..

    peace~ ^^

  • I believe it is all depend on types of consumers. Some may find Brunei is a dull and a boring place. I agree. And some may find it very peaceful and quiet. Consumers vary in many types. Those who find Brunei as a dull and boring place are people who enjoy nightlife enjoyment and entertainment. I admit Brunei do not have many to offer on that area.

  • *sigh* This is one of the reasons why I love my country. It's completely different from all the other countries.

  • This is my country,it might be small....

but....i think i had nothing to complaint about.....

    Life is slow and easy....

Be proud when we are from Borneo....

just look at the other well developed country, are they really happy?

  • I've heard that this country is the most expensive in the world, as a whole.

Strange, how well developed is the rest of Borneo in comparison?

  • Brunei develops in a very strange manner, It develops as a whole, unlike the rest of Borneo, which anyone who has been there can tell you, especially Kuching, where parts of the country are highly developed while other areas seem almost devoid of modernization.. Probably because Brunei is so small, and wealthy.

  • Brunei Darussalam means Brunei, the Abode of Peace. I really don't care if Brunei can't compare to K.K or Kuching or whatever towns and cities in Borneo. Just try to look at its name, the Abode of Peace, Peace is all that matters!

Brunei is developing slowly compare to neighboring states and countries because, Brunei wants to deal with the social impacts as it develops. It's a Bruneian way - "Biar lambat asal selamat", slow but safe!

  • agree. look what happen to dubai

  • @DarkLordAtai

    Haha,betul itu....

Jangan buat pandai mahu develope cepat-cepat,kita pun tidak cukup orang di sini.

Many well developed country might seem more fun.but, are they people really happy?

well developed country people had to deal with pressure, because when you're useless, you got kicked out.

i got plenty of friends that envy me who lives in Brunei.

    life is slow and easy....

  • plus its too flat (i know its not much of a reason, but that was one of deciding factors in stopping me from moving there :P).

  • hehe, now don't get me wrong, i'm all for Bornean unity, and would be more than happy if we, those of Brunei, the Sarawaki and the Kalimantanese were to unite in one nation (think how economically wealthy it would be) but still, i have been to Brunei many times and it just seems quite dull (though you would probably say quiet) and not very pedestrian friendly. I respect your rainforest, but i don't think i could settle in BSB. And yes, Sabahan is the denonym for an individual hailing from Sabah.

  • Hey! I would support ur idea too, but if you look at Brunei's long turbulent history, it would now be impossible.

So, yeah, as a Bruneian, I would just say, Im glad that Brunei is still the Mother State of Borneo! Peace.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh yes, one might indeed be fooled into thinking its all that...but Kota Kinabalu is where to be (yes i'm Sabahan, so what? :P)

  • it iS all that.

and is Sabahan even a word 'o.O

  • lol. it IS all that :)

  • It is all that fella. KK offers other stuff but you can't compare one country with Brunei.

We live peacefully, we're not really affected by the world and crime is low, the economy is great, for sure we got our own hiccups by its not as great as any other country. And it surely is grandier than KK with our mosques and everything.

Brader, we live on the same f*c*ing island, what you think is yours is not yours but it belongs to the world.

  • i agreeeeeeeee masha allah

  • im very lucky to be living here, in brunei

  • what a place .. i have been there twice, and i cannot wait the time to go again.

    just unbeleivable country.
