If he was flying out for training or combat he wouldnt do what we saw in this vid. Actually there are a few vids around here where it does in fact climb out vertically nose high and continue to accelerate while completely vertical. Those engines produce 70k+ thrust, and its t/w ratio is greater than one.

Why does everyone consider the f-22 to have like no tailplanes or something? People, the F-22 is an extremely maneuverable aircraft. Thrust vectoring, big engine = agile.
The typhoon is only a lot more maneuverable at low speeds <300knots at 500knots that degrades a bit.
I fail to see the meteor having much use at all against the raptor due to the stealth, because any radar interruption will throw off the missile.

The heat signature is only useful in very short range if it is coming right at you... Once it is past you, it has some use. But many things can interfere with it (clouds, rain, fog, snow, countermeasures). Radar is still the only reliable long-distance detection tech. And by the time the Raptor flies past you, you are dead if the pilot wants you to be.

Actually this is not true. A Cobra is a sharp pitch-up with loss of speed and foward motion but no vertical movement. There is no such thing as Cobra manuevering.
A hammerhead stall was first done by the MiG-29 but this is not one. In this manuever the airplane never loses altitude unlike the hammerhead stall. This move was more attributed the F-22's 70,000 pounds of thrust and it's very good nose down capabilities.

Americans know the F-22 is better, and Europeans are in denial, thats the way it is. The F-22 is an air dominance fighter first, multi-role second. It would kick a Eurofighters ass before it knew it was seen. One of the more spectacular things about the 22 is its ability to use outside radar to target, so the Eurofighter wouldn't even have to get a spike from the 22 that was going to kick its ass, it could come from another 22 or even AWACS.

Why does everyone consider the f-22 to have like no tailplanes or something? People, the F-22 is an extremely maneuverable aircraft. Thrust vectoring, big engine = agile.
The typhoon is only a lot more maneuverable at low speeds <300knots at 500knots that degrades a bit.
I fail to see the meteor having much use at all against the raptor due to the stealth, because any radar interruption will throw off the missile.
Eurofighter and Raptor are both fantastic.

although the f22 is a better plane overall, its main advantage is stealth, and i dunno if it will take that long to get around that and then the f22 has lost its main advantage, and the typhoon is already considered more Manoeuvrable by people that have flown in both jet, and it is being currently tested with thrust vectoring so its Manoeuvrablity is just gonna get better

i disagree with the radar for long range statement, modern radars especially british, and chinese were able to detect the F117,at close and long ranges, plus with the meteor missle, the typhoon has a punch oer 800km long

The heat signature is only useful in very short range if it is coming right at you... Once it is past you, it has some use. But many things can interfere with it (clouds, rain, fog, snow, countermeasures). Radar is still the only reliable long-distance detection tech. And by the time the Raptor flies past you, you are dead if the pilot wants you to be.

while i like the eurofighter, its probably outclassed in every capability except a supersonic dogfight, and perhaps at long-range with the "meteor missile"
but for a £30-50million jet vs a $100-150million+ jet the Typhoon is probably better value

All the manouvers described here were done in a Sukhoi 27, including the tailslide. A move not recomended in any aircraft. High Alpha X31 project ended in 1996 but hang on, didn't the English have a plane designed in the 50's called a Kestral? Later to become Harrier? I am sure this uses thrust vectoring.

Actually this is not true. A Cobra is a sharp pitch-up with loss of speed and foward motion but no vertical movement. There is no such thing as Cobra manuevering.
A hammerhead stall was first done by the MiG-29 but this is not one. In this manuever the airplane never loses altitude unlike the hammerhead stall. This move was more attributed the F-22's 70,000 pounds of thrust and it's very good nose down capabilities.
