The day before his friend's funeral, this man was diagnosed with terminal cancer, but he still kept his promise to his friend. That took guts; to sing at a funeral knowing that you don't have long yourself.

I think this one time, where as Mariah usually does this in her own style, like here, she simply should have sung the song smoothly...without all her riffs (they're too a little too excessive for the feel on this song) because this song's basic arrangement is all that's needed, especially with Trey singing his background part.

Sometimes, Mariah just does too much. But thanks anyway, for giving respect to Mike, Mrs. Cannon (smile).

This performance SUCKED! She sounded horrible at the public Obama Inauguration Ball. Even Trey couldn't hit those high notes like he used to. it's hard to sustain your vocal chords like that when you are grieving or on the verge of breaking down. I know that, because I've tried. And for Mariah to be able to perform in front of the whole world live, and still sound good (not her best of course), I'll have to give her credit for that!!

This is one of the hardest things any human being can do...sing at a funeral of a dear and loved one & when you are obviously so heartbroken. It would be inhumane to not have been emotional. You tell me you did not get emotional watching MJ's Memorial? I give her credit & everyone who got up on that stage and paid their tribute to MJ. It must have been hard not cry. I certainly got very emotional watching it on tv, in the UK. I dont understand why people have to be so critical...its a bore.
