Partition has many painful story specially with muslims who migrated in large number. but in this movie the picture is not correctly painted. Emotions are good in 1947 only muslims suffered and thousands of muslims killed in partition. May God live long Pakistan. Wo log jo ab India ke sath friendship ki baat karatay hain un ko Gujrat ke muslims ka Qatal e Aam yaad rakhna chaiay

buddy! partition is the scare at the face of humanity!..i wasnt even born so late like in 80s but my grandparents suffered this...idk why,how i attached myself wd that, and i am sikh punjabi..but trust me it has nothing to do with any RELIGION...it is that wound which never gona be heeled!...but we can hug each other and say "bad time has gone!...sab kuch theek hoga!" inshallah!...ameean!..:)

It's strange that Indians took half a century to make movie of a partition novel by Amrita Pritam, but pakistani featured her songs and stories immediately after that horrible chapter of our history.

Seems like they told "our" stories that we weren't ready tell.

i saw this movie and i can safely say that there was not a dry eye in the theatre. the movie just rips the heart from the chest. i salute all those who had to bear the trauma of partition especially women of both the countries.
