  • I often wonder what the staff did while they were off and Oliver and Grace were gone, did they all hangout or do their own thing?

  • They don't make movies like this anymore :)

  • I had this on cassette and abused it to no end. LOVE THIS MOVE!!

  • When she sings "Give the maid the night off" the maid's like "Fuck yes!"

  • 2:28 The guy who hands Annie the Playbill. That's Rich. I know him and performed with him. :)

  • I sing this to myself every time I go to the movies.

  • amazing

  • why did she have to bring her dumb dog

  • 1:12 crew member seen in the Mirror lol :P I love this movie!

  • "Always happy endings" I always thought that was funny cos the movie they watched sure didn't end happily lol

  • TURN THE KITCHEN LIGHT OFF!!!!

  • When Grace said give the made the night off. The maid looked like "Fuck yes!"

  • Annie is good at showing the time period comparing it to other movie like it from the 80's

  • i was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed of because my first movie was never like this there was no fancy dancers or anything stupid lying movies but i cant stay mad annies sooo cuite and she can tap dance witch makes her cuiter

  • annies soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuite

  • What I love is that Annie is ten years old and born in 1922, making it 1932 or 1933. But they went to see Camille, which came out in 1936.

  • They shouldve seen the Deathly Hallows part 2 midnight premiere. It was even better xD

  • I LOVE PUNJAB! LOVE ANN REINKING AND ALBERT FINNEY!

  • God i wish i was this happy wen I went to the cinema lol

  • that perfume bottle looks alot like mariah carey's forever lol

  • It's so Busby Berkeley!!!!

  • This is one of my favorite movies....Ms. Farrell was just so hot...She could've rescued me from an orphanage anyday!

  • Ms. Farrell is so much prettier with her hair down. Kinda a turnoff when she wears it up!!!!!

  • I love this scene.

  • after they tapdance at around 1:07 behind the curtain, keep looking at the mirror behind and you'll briefly see a crew member walk past!!!

  • Ann Reinking has so much energy! Wonderful actress.

When I was a kid i used to want to be like Grace when I grew up :P

  • sweet song cool to

  • that poor dog...

  • I wish this happened to me when I go to the cinema :/

  • Great song

  • this is awsome! :)

  • The best song in the movie

  • Of all the people mentioned in the song, Shirley Temple is the only one left unfortunately.

  • @GusF what about jackie cooper?

  • @incrediblehulkmovies He died last month.

  • @GusF Shirley Temple was mentioned in the beginning after Grace says Mickey Mouse

  • I've always loved Annie's shoes. :)

  • Hnb+

  • How the fuk they get a dog into the theater?!?!?!?!?

  • @vR0RSCHACHv Daddy Warbucks, that's how, lol. :p

  • @vR0RSCHACHv well u see thts oliver warbucks he gets whatever he wants

  • luv Anns laugh at the beginning

  • @HappyBirthdayProduct I find her giggles so sexy. Makes me want to tickle her.

  • It sounds so exciting in this song! :)

  • 18 people are broke and can't afford to go to the movies

  • @teresavelazquez87 The surest way to good fortune in this life and the next is to buy movies and/or tickets to the movies. That is how "the stars" teach you the stairway to heaven. BELIEVE! P.S. That includes the soundtracks to movies too. The TV show Will and Grace teaches the world how to sing in perfect harmony -- Broadway musicals, aka SHOW TUNES. And anything starring Michael Landon and Robert Redford is extra good insurance.

  • i luv annies dess in this scene :)

  • 18 people pissed that they can't go to the movies. How unfortunate.

  • can someone tell me why they consistently flash there panties its kinda odd lol

  • Her hair looks good down

  • Me and my friend love watching this film. I, myself have watched like over a hundred times :)

I wonder, why do they call it the movies, because I call it a cinema :)

    plz reply .... someone ;)

  • @EmilyRules971 most people call it the movies, at least everybody that I know

  • i'm doing this song in network concert

  • I can't believe they're remaking this movie with Willow Smith as Annie. Please god, let it get stuck in development.

  • And then the actual movie is like the most depressing movie ever.

  • @TheLadyYuki aha lool yeah

  • I have the full DVD of this!!!

  • I was always pissed that she put her hair up because I thought she looked so much prettier with it down. Haha.

  • @Mike6E i know right

  • gah i remember growing up watching this movie thinking that ann reinking was one of the most beautiful women ever... nearly 30 flipping years later... she still is!

  • I WORE THIS MOVIE OOOUUUTTT WHEN I WAS SMALL,LOL! <3

  • Isn't Annie's dress a little to short i like it but isn't it?!

  • Best part in the whole movie :] Ann Reinking is fantastic and she brings the song to life! Love the random "Turn the kitchen light off!" bit

  • i always wanted to go on that slide when i was a kid!! :) x

  • it was really necessary to show their panties?

  • Interesting that this isn't in the play, and ordinarily, I hate it when they do that with film versions of a stage play, but....I LOVE THIS SONG ! And Ann Reinking is divine. That is all. <3

  • 1:22 is my fav part, the way she walks the bench out and back in

  • The rockettes rock!!

  • I like Grace with her hair down

  • @weirdolame Indeed. But I do love it up...lol I just love her, up or down....

  • I think that this is the best remake of Annie. EVER!!!!!

  • @avaflava1 actually this is the first film adaptation of annie. the 1999 Rob Marshall directed tv version is kind of a remake but not really.

  • @perfectajo oh. I really think the 1999 one sucks. I absolutly think that they bombed hard knock life. THEY NEED TO LEARN THAT YOU CAN'T DO HARD KNOCK LIFE WITH 7 ORPHANS, IT'S NOT NATURAL!!!!

  • @avaflava1 I COMPLETELY AGREE !

  • ANNIE FOREVER!!!

  • I love this part.

  • I would only give my respect already for the huge speed they run of the stairs at 01.37 on heels.

  • It's weird that the movie is really a lot shorter than the dances they made! I used to ask myself "Is it really necessary to dance and sing to show excitement in going to see a movie?" :)) Well, in any way, it's fun though!

  • Isn't Anne Reinking just the best?

  • Hey I wanna go to the movies!

  • lmfao the bald guy really shouldn't sing

  • Wow, SHE got dressed fast lol

  • @HeyHeyHey8I I KNOW RIGHT!!!!

  • i love annie

  • why can't my movie house be this awesome

  • i can't begin to capture how much i hate musicals -_-

  • Of all the people mentioned in the song, Jackie Cooper and Shirley Temple are the only ones who are still alive, which is hardly surprising since they were only kids in the 1930s and the rest were all adults.

  • @GusF tech it mentions mickey mouse and since he is a cartoon he is still alive too

  • @GreekMythFan7 Well, since he's a fictional character, he was never alive to begin with.

  • I loveeeee Grace <3 <3

  • like the move that makes

  • @agentpositron what?

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of the Shaytards :)

  • all of you who watched this just got flashed at least 6 times

  • hahaha

  • i love this stuff :D :0

  • such grace....

  • I love Ann Reinking!

  • Turn da kitchen light off! Hahaha

  • ...Are all Suupppeeerrrr..…™

  • in the beginning, I am actually staring to believe she wanted the audience to see her underwear... :S

  • @dudelol32132 That's not her underwear. Girls used to wear a special something over her underwear.

  • @Saartje05 Bloomers. They're like shorts that go under a dress, and they're darn uncomfortable to wear.

  • I used to think the whole line of dudes singing to little girls was a real thing and was pretty normal because i watched this movie so many times. First time i went to the movies, i was crushed because THIS DIDNT HAPPEN. AIOFWEJHIOEWJINOFAIHJNOVANIOV WHY CANT THIS HAPPEN TO ME??

  • @oOTheWondrousStrange Because you're not an orphan who's adopted dad's rich out his ass

  • @oOTheWondrousStrange I'm sure if you had Warbucks they would do it for you.

  • It seems more like they went to a Broadway show about the movies.

  • @Nightmare5F Some movie houses used to have a short musical show before the film. That's what Radio City Music Hall used to do and how it is presented here. The only place I know of that does something like that now is The El Cap in Cali which is owned by Disney. They often have pre-shows still.

  • Pause at 52 seconds lmfao

  • Ann Reinking should let her hair out more often.. she looks so uptight with it pulled back like that!

  • Annie has a mad fro.

  • because shay started singing it :)

  • @Clockrun

    Seat belts weren't created yet

  • TURN THE KITCHEN LIGHT OFF!

  • this is one of my favorite movies :)

I love how they sing about only happy endings and then show a tradgedy

  • where is Annie's seat belt? Careless parents!!!

  • @Clockun seatbelts weren't invented yet. I think they were invented around the early '60s

  • wow i used to watch this all the time when i was like 7!

  • So they sing about going to the movies and then go to see the Rockettes? That makes perfect sense. [/snark] They should have just sung NYC, a much better song.

  • @90lysander the movie was shown after the Rockette dance...

  • @notyouraveragething Ah, okay. I guess I wasn't aware that anything of that sort could ever happen.

  • Thirteen people can't go to the movies.

  • I was lucky enough to see the Roxy Theatre in New York before the tore it down. There's a famous picture of Gloria Swanson standing in its ruins. We keep tearing down the great movie palaces. I loved the Rockettes and have seen them twice. If you've never seen them, you're in for a treat . = And I was smitten with Ann Reinking.

46 years ago I did tap on stage, whenever I see it on screen I start tapping. I can't help it. :)

  • this is one of my favorite movies. the remake later was terrible.

  • what are the rocketts spelling out at 3:35 ?

  • I love this movie soooooo much i personally fell that it is the best version but did u ever realize that they are like the only people in the room????

  • this will always be the best version of Annie :) <3

  • u can tell there miming and u can see there pants

  • they cut this song from the 1999 version..... i've always loved this song!

  • Fred and GINGER :p lol

  • lol@The theatres back in the day.

  • garce i wish you yr my mom

  • I love the woman who plays Grace! shes GORGEOUS

  • @iloveyou123123412345 Ann Reinking

  • TURN THE KITCHEN LIGHT OFF!!!(:

  • oh Ive watched this movie since i was little

  • I wonder how you can make a plot a "dilly...."

  • I agree this is the best...fun to watch...dnt like it dnt watch it :)

  • This Annie is so annoying to watch :L

  • @KatieAckers and why is so annoying, the alicia morton annie was just -plain plastic acting, this is the real annie forever, i mean this is the best one out of the 2

  • @KatieAckers i like both. they're so different. the 1982 is like a movie before musical, while the 1999 is like a movie adaptation of the musical. even though the musical predated the 1982, and the comics were long before anything, i almost think of this as with the producers: like the 1960s mel brooks original is a movie, while the 2005 is basically the stage musical put on film.

do i make sense? i do hope i'm not rambling.

  • i like how they say "only happy endings" yet the film they watch ends really sad.

  • i wanna car like that =(

  • Yeah but that's what colour suits her best- not the only colour sge can wear!! So they save the best till last with the red dress :P

  • I've actually seen the Rockettes live. They're absolutely amazing!

  • Lmao. at 0:55 after the woman is singing her part annies just like "LETS GO TO THE MOVIES" XDD Shes like... Ok already now stfu lets go to the movies already xD

  • As shown in this, the line in I Think I'm Going to Like it Here is wrong! "Blue, no red I think." Uh-unless I'm colorblind, which I'm pretty sure I'm not she's wearing blue.

  • You're expecting another line to rhyme with the last, but then, "Turn the kitchen light off!" LOL I've always loved that.

  • @fineIdareyou I love that line too, and it actually does rhyme. ("Give the maid the night off - turn the kitchen light off."

  • I wish I could dance like Ann did in this movie. So freakin jealous lol

  • I was kind of disappointed that they replaced the Broadway NYC song/routine with this in the movie. NYC was better.

  • Why don't they tell me everything's mine right through the doors when I go to the movies ?? );

  • @MyzteriousAznGuy Buy out the whole show like Warbucks did and they probably will. :P

  • Man, theaters today just don't have anything on old fashioned movie theaters

  • sooooooooooo i love how they just left the rest of the staff at home IN THE DARK lol

  • @Ryu7490 OMG I KNOW!! me and my friend were watching this movie and saying "HAPPY TIME!!" XD

  • @Ryu7490 except the maid.... she got off

  • @Ryu7490 LMFAO

  • @Ryu7490 your right haha

  • @Ryu7490 lol, i can't believe that i've watched this movie hundreds of times and never wondered about that.

  • annie is soo cute :)!

  • I was obsessed with this song, believing this would happen to me when my Mum finally decided to take me to see my first film

  • i love this song!!
