I was lucky enough to see the Roxy Theatre in New York before the tore it down. There's a famous picture of Gloria Swanson standing in its ruins. We keep tearing down the great movie palaces. I loved the Rockettes and have seen them twice. If you've never seen them, you're in for a treat . = And I was smitten with Ann Reinking.

46 years ago I did tap on stage, whenever I see it on screen I start tapping. I can't help it. :)

@KatieAckers i like both. they're so different. the 1982 is like a movie before musical, while the 1999 is like a movie adaptation of the musical. even though the musical predated the 1982, and the comics were long before anything, i almost think of this as with the producers: like the 1960s mel brooks original is a movie, while the 2005 is basically the stage musical put on film.
