No digo llanto porque me he contenido. XD hehe! ;)
It's great that your are learning Irish Diego. Maith an fear. Great work. One question though. Why do you translate the Irish place names into 'english' when you are translating into Spanish....and not leaving either as the original, Irish, or into the Spanish equivalent? At least they would mean something in either Irish or Spanish. In english, most placenames mean nothing.

No one can write a truly depressingly addictively beautiful song like the Irish! Thanks for the upload and translation, one day I will make myself learn Irish.
i'd like to know how it is today with gaelic. do little children still learn the language in school for example? or only from their parents or grandparents? it's such a lovely language, and it would be so sad if it was a dying language one day...
@DalyahArani Hi, I'm Irish and a Gaelgóir, that is an Irish speaker. Well in the Republic of Ireland it's the first official language and in Northern Ireland it's a recognised regional language. It's also an official EU language. Irish is compulsory to learn at school and all official things have to be in both languages like all the signs and stuff are displayed in both. Unfortunately, the majority of the island still speak in English and Irish continues to be a minority language...
...spoken mainly on the west coast. The language faces many problems today because many people are negative towards it and see it as old-fashioned and a waste of time and money in comparison to English and other languages like French, German and Spanish. Yes it would be a huge devastating loss if my language died but hopefully, our government will wake up and take the necessary measures to revive it! Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam (Land without language, land without soul) ^^
Thank you GaeilgeSpraoi for your detailed answer. Now i have a much better overview over the language. And i really hope that your wish comes true and the government will wake up one day! But like TheAncientCelt says don't worry, there are many people from many countries all over the world that loves this language and learn to speak it. Lots of my friends loves the Irish language and music, and some of them speaks it almost fluently. So i'm full of hope that it won't die!
Cool! My mother wants to learn it too, but in the Netherlands (where we live) is there only 1 who gives lessons in Irish (the others give Scottish Gaelic), but it's too far away from where we live... But very cool, it's a difficult language, at least is sounds so :).
I love love that song. I'm from Newfoundland, we have very strong ties to Ireland and our traditional music is much the same, that's one of my all time favourites, thanks :)

Besos
