  • Question all Americans who watch this video: Do you really think that the high speed rail is a waste of tax payer's money as Republicans claim? I'm a conservative, but I love high speed trains...lol!!!

  • cheaper, easier to run, and also safer. imagine a train running through the world. current technologies would allow reaching speeds of 800-1000km/h (considering that the german tv train can do 600 km/h, and was built 13 years ago) imagine going to anywhere on the world, for as much as 100-300 USD...

  • good times for suicider!

  • 6:14 :P

  • 4:51 Hmm.. 3.2Mw... If they ran this train on my EDF prepay meter their daily bill would be £12,288.16p :-D

  • i like your comparision.... @thomaswinzy ,

even tho i live in states for now, (like driving but miss the trains...

at least take some trains at my inlaws in Japan .... train every 2-3 minutes)

in states ( can wait for ever ..... before they gonna build anything close enough ..... )

  • anyone know this music??

  • Great ! Italy will defeat you ;)

  • Electric mobility, a new generation. People are used to combustion engines and think this is cool because the engine is so powerful. Thats not the point - With electric mobility, speed is not a question of engine power. It is a matter of how much Energy you can deliver to the motor. And, the mechnical abilities of the chassis, wheels whatever. But we have to to deal with this new point of view, the power today is not simply a matter of engine horsepower..

  • @computername thats true .....

  • omg, 31 000Volts! In Sweden we use 16 000 Volts.

  • @NonePeace the voltage of the line was specially provided for this test, we see in the film the pantograph is down at one point was the change in voltage, as por the power of the train, the engine was bogies I believe, of 8000 horsepower and the number of 4, this was a special train scheduled for this Reccords, we speak of 350 to 360 km / h for a responsible and safe operating speed

  • The name of example video is BEOVOZ

  • Good..but without African-Asian colonies' wealth..it would be more like this

  • can anyone post a video of the tgv train factory...???i m interested to know dat hw these prototypes are made>>>>

  • my mom runs faster!!

  • @kaper243 We need her here in Greece but only if she weights 20tones per axle...

  • That speed sucks...if you go in the wrong train...you are 300miles far away befor you can ask where the trains go

  • In the US, the glamour of high-speed rail corridors between large cities outshines the need to reach a multitude of markets to build more viable utilization. This can be accomplished by serving small cities and rural area collection points along the corridor and extending services on conventional lines branching beyond or off the corridor.

  • A TGV did derail at high speed due to a mine collapse under the tracks; but the train stayed in tact along the track attributed to the articulated connections and no one died or was seriously injured. A non-articulated German ICE derailed at high speed on account of a mechanical failure and struck a bridge abutment killing and seriously injuring scores of the passengers.

  • Japan and France and made the commitment to high speed rail passenger service in part because they ran out of capacity on existing lines and could grow their businesses well beyond then-existing competitive conditions. Having proved the relationship between speed and travel market capture and creation, faster trips made travel practical, they and other countries went ahead with building new high speed lines to reduce travel times between many large and small markets.

  • the us needs one...

  • Why 3:27 lowers the pantograph?

  • Why 3:27 lowers the pantograph? Since that is supplied with voltage by train?

  • @NIKOLASDD Because they then change to the high speed line (31.000 kV)

  • They cheated!! Inside the locomotive was a treadmill for Chuck Norris, connected to the propulsion system.

  • MAAAAAMMMMMAAAAMIAAAAAA!!!!!!PARIS-LYON 30MIN :-D

  • the best train in the world..

  • holy shit at how fast it passes under the bridge and the dust it brings up

  • did anyone else notice that one of the TV monitors around 1:35 said Corvette on it?

  • imagine derailing at that speed

  • How come you guys make great trains but shit cars??

  • @formidable38 Update your information. Driven a Peugeot 407 Coupe lately ?

  • @kenjryker Why? You got one i spose and its the best car in the world right?

Seriously though, maybe it is a good car, they seem to have very good ratings and such but they look really fuckin ugly!! The 307 looks like sumin that fell off a kiddies fair ground ride LOL. Il stick to to VW & Audi.

  • @formidable38 Michelin tires are the best in the world!

  • @formidable38 that's politic : in order to reduce the number of cars (and pollution by the way) you build shit cars and good eletric trains (not polluting)

  • I wonder what will happen if there is just a coin on the tracks?

  • quelle vitesse!

  • @Xpendable17 France was caught out of position during WW2. They fell because of the poor troop management and policies of their allies the Belgian and the Dutch, low morale, and very poor supply (french soldiers were the least paid in the whole world back then). They relied on the maginaud line in the east and their allies in the north. Their allies fell, and from there it was a race to Paris. and the "gg" was inevitable XD

  • A great triumph for France, from Britain.

  • Inspiring soundtrack

  • 25 000 HP O.O

  • if i m correct, to fly you need wings and aprox 300 km/ hour.

  • @catalinux007leiro

    birds go that fast?

  • @janjohandealgenman

are you serious? a bird wave his wings to fly, a plane dont. thats why he need that speed to fly. a total different concept. like helicopters

  • @catalinux007leiro

wow your antenna for sarcasm needs some tuning. But seriously there isn't really a minimum speedrequirement to gain lift, the monarch b (a fixed wing man-powered plane) for example only needs 30 km/h to lift off.

  • Wow! This is a great document on the 3/4/07 TGV speed record!

I simply loved this video... and I was so impressed by the incredible speed of this TGV!

    +1 and favorites!

Unfortunately there are no roads in Russia. Maximum speed Trans-Siberian Railway 120-160 km / h. The journey from Moscow to Vladivostok takes 7 days.

  • Railroad to the hell

  • Normal...

  • Magnifique! La vidéo est incroyable! Très bien!

  • soooo ffaaaaasssst

  • i can run faster

  • @fhaddad3 lol

  • @fhaddad3 : Hahaha you made my day ;)

  • France France

  • hey guys.look on wikipedia, the tgv has a absolute world speed record.the tgv is unbeatable.this train is a marvel of technology he is 20 years ahead of every train in the world.

  • @naruto26100 Speed records for trains aren't just black and white, though. There's a Japanese train that has the ABSOLUTE speed record... but it's a maglev train, not a conventional train. The TGV has the record for conventional trains.

What I find interesting is the EXTREMELY small difference between the two speed records (it's around 6 km/h), even though the maglev is literally floating. Shows that most of the limit is air resistance.

  • Japan needs to learn this if Kawasaki wants to beat the French.

  • The best of everything is French: wines, cuisine, culture, films -- and trains.

  • if it ever crash no survival, lol

  • @sillyman7111 yeah, but TGV have never crashed.... No one have ever died in a TGV since its beginning in 1981. So that means it's one of the safest (if not the safest) transport in the world....

  • beautiful masterpiece of engeneering... amazing machine.

  • new record is 745.6 km/h

  • @MultiSuperMegaUltra

Are you talking conventional wheeled trains or maglev? I'm pretty sure in conventional train nothing beats the TGV.

  • And we have..............Amtrak.

  • @muzzmatrix Comparing the US to any European country by any metric is like comparing apples to pineapples. Trains on a national scale, high speed or not, can not compete with flying in the US, from a time, infrastructure, or economic point of view.

  • This was a fantastic achievement. It is the record which really counts, wheels running on rails at that speed. Incredible !!!!

  • 4 snails watched and disliked this video. "What's the rush!?" they said...

Great video and great train! BRAVO!

  • Je suis fier de mon pays!

  • nice video... i would like to stand and watch on the last bridge

  • Special tracks/ rails? WTF- so fast?

  • when a french girls have sex they go like WE WE WE WE when she gets on the TGV she goes like WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!:)))))))))

  • ...my fellow Americans...now doesn't this sound just a bit better than sitting on your luggage(IF SouthWest hasn't lost it already) waiting for your connecting flight or fighting traffic to get downtown?? END THE AIRLINE-AUTOMOBLIE MONOPOLY IN AMERICA! DEMAND HIGH SPEED RAIL-NOW!!!!!

  • @Peter43John

French trains are rarely on time, and when the SNCF workers go on strike, your luggage is the last of your problems! TER TEOZ TGV, all the same, take a taxi!

  • @Peter43John I know, seriously. America should stop spending billions of dollars bombing some of the poorest countries in the world.

Rail is probably a lot safer than air, too.

  • @ACfireandiceDC Traveling by air is the safest way totravel:D

  • @thomaswinzy Since when have you EVER heard of people surviving an airplane crash? Even though it's less likely to crash, in the rare case that it DOES, then you're a lot less likely to survive than if you were in a car.

Besides, think about this: A car crash might kill 5 people at the very most. An airplane crash will kill hundreds.

  • @ACfireandiceDC never said you survive an airplane crash :S its a fact that airplanes have the lowest deaths

  • Comment removed

  • @thomaswinzy Can you provide a valid source as to where you got that information?

  • @thomaswinzy no:

45 years of existence Japonese TGV : 0 Death 1 derailment (cause : earthquake)

30 years of existence French TGV : 0 Death 3 derailment. one at 294kmh only 10 slightly injured person(tgv have an articulated system, people are safe even in case of derailment at very hight speed)

    compare to:

40 Year and only for American Airlines :1100 death.

  • @Nervantoss Can TGV travel from France to USA?

  • @Marcinex22 "Can TGV travel from france to USA", are you joking??!

  • @will101page So airplane is better, don't you think?

  • @Nervantoss They weren't safe in Germany when their train derailed.

  • @bebeinpa of courses. Germany use ICE. this train is good but not safe in case of derailement.

  • @thomaswinzy dude, are u mad?

in the last 10 years more than 1300 people died in airplane crashes and in the last 20 years 120 people died in train accidents just in America

  • @BritishNathan dude just search on google "what is the safest way to travel" and stop talking...

  • @ACfireandiceDC air is still the safer than rail.......but rail is better for the environment

  • @peter43 john, your way off topic money spent on neccesary wars has nothing do do with spending it on rail, but your tiny mind is trying to connect it all in france there is no vote for public need that why the have this vast net work of trains that run on time and goverment funded, also are federal government has a poor track record of running things, because there poor dosen't mean we should be bombing them go join the Ron Paul for president, if you are that anal

  • @ACfireandiceDC yeah our government is outragous. we need high speed rail systems here.and the poorest countries are the ones that are always threateneing us that are suposed to be "allies" that we give hundreds of millions of dollars to when alot of our own citizens are suffering

  • @ACfireandiceDC Rail is not safer then air, I know that for a fact.

  • @ACfireandiceDC I'm American and I agree also. T_T

  • @Peter43John

the problem is rail only makes sense where you have dense population clusters like in europe or japan. it doesn't make sense in most of america, because people live so spread out that it's not really economical to build trainstations that only service a few hundred people.

of course one could build a high speed rail service between major cities like SF and LA, but it will be hard to compete with airline prices

  • @Kuner1 If they consider the ridiculous security measures and gropers at airports...

  • amazingly

  • Congratulation for MAX speed record of the world from japan!

I thouht my coutry's train technic was more great but The French was better.

  • Did you see that train?

    What train.

  • Comment removed

  • @lillsankan german ICE is better!!

  • the people at 3:13 must be pissedd off they came all that way just to see it going 100kmh!

  • 4 people dislike because they afraid of such high speed

  • the french are awsum with what they make the Eiffel tower, concord and the tgvs

    i love french people

  • Flying low.

  • Leave it to the French to build the fastest train on earth...I wonder how Freud would have interpreted that :)

  • @Hedgehoggy1983 We all know that Freud was a clown... read Michel Onfray. ;-)

  • France !

  • nice vid, nice train. Best train ever.

  • gg french !

  • Bravo!

  • F*CK my braine!!!!

  • the most exciting videos for the craziest records. Bravo la France, bien joué.

  • man........my skin is like a ciken skin.........i can't beleive it!!!!!!!!! how anopther people can and another no? Iam form RO and here is a very poor rail structure. good job for sncf......and more for future

  • Very god

  • el mejor es el shinkansen Maglev, !!!

  • @Pahoranrojas Lastima q agarre 100 km/h menos...

  • @MrStaropramen

  • French engineering rocks

  • 5:33 awesome

  • Yeah, I saw that, big mistake, just a one line plan with no consideration for any expansion. If they were doing their job in Copenahgen they would be enforcing the construction. We need two lines with similar routes as WCML and ECML. The railways were origionally built to open up the UK, not becasue of demand. A missed opportunity in my view. But I can get to Lille faster and for less money than Yarmouth, 80 miles away, so we'll be going there!

  • Splendid result! But just for traditional track, not maglev monorail!

  • while the pathetic british in this country was too busy building the 125 slow speed train out of junk from the scrap heap

the french were building a true high speed train

and i wish them every success

alstom make the best trains in the world

meanwhile us in england will continue to have our rail lines contaminated with class 142 pacers

gurd on the british dickheads who built them

    well done (Y)

  • Dude! Your title says TGV when its really a AGV Prototype. Yet to come in to service.

  • No, AGV is something else. This is a modified TGV, as currently in service.

  • the french are crazy, they have no fear, just like the guy who climbs the buildings

  • @kopynd He's also french

  • The Best only

  • The French should be proud of what they achived this day! 340 MPH WOW!!!

  • @singleadvance not 340 MPH, 357MPH

  • TGV is the best train ^_^

  • I want one

  • Magnifique vidéo ! :D

  • could the French come to the UK, and teach us how to run our rail network

  • Yes please, we don't have a high speed line.... the one out St Panc only goes to or from Europe, you can't get on and off in the UK so it don't count. Went on eurostar other day, Lille to Midlands in 2 hours 50! Wow, can we have one please! Needless to say, the last 80 miles was pants.

  • @kopynd could the english can stop to hate us

  • @kopynd aks the germans :D The TGV was build in Germany we just sell them :D

  • @zAp1337lol Ahaha go ahead believe that. You with your pathetic Siemens locomotives, in 2006 a Siemens Taurus locomotive did 357 km/h with one passenger car. In France in 1955 a train formed from 1 locomotive and over 6 cars did 320 km/h. Now you after how many, 22 years managed to do a speed higher with 30 km/ tahn the french. Amazing isnt it? France and high spreed rails are the best! ;) I have nothing against Germany, they have great thenology and great people but some idiots are to much.

  • @optmius99 Hrm hrm, the Taurus is and was NEVER designed to be FASTER than the TGV, so you DO NOT have any point. For your information this TGV had German workers and a German designer.

  • @kopynd no!!!! because french rail is sh*t, trains cancelled or late, strikes,.... all the time!!!

  • @LastShotprods You're right for strikes etc...but we're the best in rails for speed and technologies...

    a Frenchman

  • @TheXocolida I agree completely =)
