  • "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

    - Mahatma Gandhi

  • don't worry they go up by them selfs :), on 6 or 7 months(judging by my GSD)

  • They should go up themselves. They will flop while the dog is teething, we feed them cheese while training to supplement the calcium that is missing while they are growing teeth.

  • my dog came out to be a gsd mix she is very short has long hair and floppy ears at six monts . thats because i found her

i just bought two real gsd puppies from a breeder in mexico they are 10 week and they are huge and my female has both ears up aoreadu and my male only 1/2

  • does any one know if german shepherds do good with other dogs

  • as far as i know, they should. My german shepherd is 2 years old, gets along with everyone in the dog park.

  • Absolutely! Blessings... D n' E!

  • Sure they do...any dogs does...it is always or mostly up to the holder.

  • I have had GSD for years and they are very good with other dogs, you just socialize them like any other dog when they are young. I currently have 1 GSD and 2 Labs who are best of friends, all go to the local dog park and play with other dogs there

  • WOW you guys(or girls) need a pat on the back for saving those wonderful dogS! Some people just give up on GSD's because there have been bad stories about them. Its like the pitbull they can be nice if they are not TRAINED to dog fight. They are so cute but it is kind of sad expescially with that music :(-

  • you are doing a fantiastic work! the website is really updated! thank you for helping the doggies

  • I rescued a brother and sister pair from a bad breeder. I couldn't just leave them there in that nasty place. Come to find out that I know ppl that know her and they say she is bad news. How do you shut someone down?

  • thatas madd vid srsly cool dogss

  • good

  • If you dont support your local GSD rescuethen they will evantually have to put them to sleep. HELP LOCAL GSD RESCUE's THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.

  • Beautiful dogs. What coloring will the gray ones have as they get older?

  • If anybody is thinking about getting a shepherd.Remember they are not the sort of dog you can just leave in the home and expect for it to be content just sitting about. They need mental&pysical stimulation.

  • You love your family, you love your wife-husband.GSD`s feel the same love for you and your family.SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GSD RESCUE.There is no substitute

  • people have no idea how much this breed has done for the human race.all they ask is to belong.i have been lucky to have them in my life since i was a kid.

  • One of the most life changing moments is when you are lucky enough to have a gsd in your life.some people say its just a dog!spend some time with them and see what everybody on this site is so passionate about.

  • The shepherd at 2.03 is the spitting image of my male GSD ,an we just adore shepherds they ARE the best dogs too have ! You can`t beat a shepherd puppy for being the cuteest puppies in the world LOL

  • This video to me only enforces that there is only one breed of dog in this world and that is of course GERMAN SHEPHERDS. I watch this video and it only enforces the fact that my love for this breed just grows everyday. Fabulous video. Thanks.

  • got 2 cats myself, and planning on getting a german shepherd in a couple of months

  • shepherds are great!!! they eat home invaders!!!

  • great vid!!!!!!!!!!!

  • freak

  • I love german shepherds.

    They're loyal, strong and inteligent.

    Beaultiful animals.

    Good video.

  • Great work! Not everyone deserves a GSD... and those that are accepted by one should be thankful.

  • how wonderful------ I love German shepherds---they are the smartest dogs

  • You do not have any german shepherds, nor shall you ever live past the next 5 days of your life.

  • Very nice video.

  • It's a fantastic video.

    So cute

  • Hello, very nice job you do....great vid...congrats to you....*****

  • i urge anyone out there looking to get a dog to consider a rescue dog , i heve recently got a gsd from a rescue centre , although he is 14 months and had no formal training he is a loving a wonderful pet. he is learning how to behave and training him is hard at times, but he worth every minute. you will not get a better breed of dog. They are the most loyal, loving, protective over there home and clever bread of dog u could wish for. Dont line the pockets of the mass breeders.

  • msolf2007 If someone has an unplanned health problem or change of employment I can understand that there are some cases where it is better to give up an animal than let it be neglected. The animal's welfare should be more important than some snobby protocol. I sometimes dogsit for people that go on vacations or just need a break from the dog, it gives my dog a chance to socialize with other dogs, of course my friends reciprocate the favor.

  • msolf2007 "never had enough time" is NOT a reason. A reputable agency would not adopt to someone who has a history of "giving away" pet."

So you would let people that have a history of neglecting dogs because they didn't have enough time, but they honored your wishes to keep the dog? I've seen a lot of animals neglected that way.

  • In memory of Jack (best friend, confidant, and one who never asked anything of me other than to feed, shelter and love him back)...thank you!

  • Wonderful video, yet another one of my favorite breeds! I just love my J.D. who came to me as a rescue. Thanks, excellent job.

  • Woof!

  • Krimzonbabe, msolf2007; I agree that there is no need for name-calling. I think you should do your best to try to take care of your dog properly and make time for them, unfortunately sometimes there are changes in people's lives that make it difficult or impossible to properly take care of the dog, in that case I would rather an owner try to find someone else to take care of the dog. It's the right thing to do.

  • I really like the idea of rescue agencies, that way you're not supporting puppy mills, therefore you're possibly saving a dog from loneliness in a small pen, possibly in poor conditions and possibly even an early lonely death. The rescue agencies tend to be limited on funds, so they can usually only rescue a %, so they usually pick the ones that are the best, and help you select one that has the right temperament for your personality and lifestyle.

  • GSDs are some of the best if not the best breeds. I really like them because they tend to have a good temperament and are very trainable, most of them seem eager to learn and work. I think most of them wouldn't be happy unless they had a yard to play in, or unless you can take them for a walk, run, jog. On days that I'm lazy, I let my dog chase an RC car, she thinks it's her job to heard the car, it makes are very happy.

  • To msolf2007: Its either give them away to a loving home who can take care of them, or neglect them by not having enough time to look after them. It was the right thing to do you douche! So what would you have done? Kept it even though you couldnt have looked after it!

  • From a fellow German Shepherd owner(I have 4)Thanks for the work you are doing for the breed. How anyone could give up a German Shepherd or any animal I will never understand.

  • thank you Arf Rescue

  • I have a Rescue German Shepherd called Cassie. She's lovely! Lovely video! Thanks =]

  • they are great dogs, super intellgent, eager to learn, playful but not high strung, very smart, and would give their life for you in a second if u where in danger, probley one of the best dogs ever created

  • I've always had German Shepherds and they are the best breed of dogs ever!!!

  • so lovely dogs..

  • i have a black german shepard hes pure shepard not half anything

i love him so much he only 4 months old and he already knows how to fetch, sit , say hello(shaking his hand) and jump

  • Im glad he knows so much, its hard to teach any breed when they are a year old >_< Thats what happened with my Labrador Chow Chow mix.. his name is buddy, sad part is my fam never had enough time for him so we had to give him away.. I want to get a German Shepherd though, they are soooo cute!

  • i have a german shepherd and a german shepherd mix and they r the sweetest things ever and such clownes but then when its time to calm down and watch the house they r the most loyal guard dogs ever i love then so much. Love the vid.

  • I love german shepherds and miss mine (rescued, had two great years and then died) so much.

  • german shepherds are so unbelievably beautifull..

  • Beautiful, elegant, and graceful.

  • I just love german shepherds, the best dog ever!

  • GSD! Does it get better? I don't know. I've had Labs and I've had sheps... I've loved them both and they have loved me back.

I think Sheps are much more challenging. If you are a dog person, you need a shep to teach you about dogs. Otherwise, if you just love dogs stick to a Lab. They are harder to screw up.

What I mean is that Labs just love people and sheps just worship people.

  • I have a 3 yo old choc m a 5 yo golden male, and a 10 yo all black shep f. She treats them like her pups. Retrivers need alot of work to keep them from chewing up your house. shepherd pups are much easier.

  • Hell yeah!!! Best dog there is,rigt there. I had Shepherd,Sirius, for 11 years. He's the best dog i have owned and I will always have a shepherd after he passes. You guys are great for saving such a wonderfull k-9.Thank you and keep up the good work!!

  • My best friend was Cookie. A German Shepherd. It lived 14 years. It's been 12 years since it's death. I still miss him. Nice video.

  • Rescue one...

  • i must say german shepards can be VERY smart they are used in rescue missions to save plants animals and people every day my 5 shepards dont do that but they are the best things that have been in my life

  • Yup, best dogs there are, no question

  • aw! this is so cutee!

i have a german shepherd named Coby.

He can be kinda dopey at times! lol!

but when it comes to protecting my family hes awesome!

    I Love him so much!

    Hes so adorable!

this is such a sweet video!

    the dogs are so adorable!

  • Great work, keep it up!!! I have two dogs from he dogshelter (a retriever and a jack russel) i also own 2 german shepherds which i bought at an official breeder.

Thank you for saving these wonderful dogs and giving them a good life, as they deserve!!

    Greetings from the Netherlands!

  • I miss my 2 Dogs badlly :(((((

  • I wouldn't have any other breed of dog, I have a female GSD called Jersey, she's fab, my little girl, I do get funny looks as I talk to her when we go for walks haha. Before her I had Woof he was my baby, he would wake me in the night if I was hypo (I have diabities) He probably saved my life a few times.

  • I've got 1 big one. His name is Cisco. I also got him from a rescue. He is going on 4 years now, and weighs in at about 108 pounds. He looks fantastic, just a big boy. He is like a child to me as well. I can't imagine life without him. GSD's are the best dogs, bar none. All you could ask for, in a dog. Good job on the vid. Makes me wanna go home and play with my big boy!

  • I own two, and for me there simply isn't another breed of dog.. all the rest are secondary.. bless em..

Well done T & P for all your hard work, bless ya and good luck in the future.

  • Beautiful dogs! Ive got an all black one myself.

  • so cool.

  • I love these dogs, too.I've had two, both rescues, and I couldn't have asked for better dogs.Smart,gentle,loyal.Just all around wonderful dogs. This is my favorite breed now.

  • i have a shepherd too! amazing animals and so misunderstood by many! Who says they are crazy wild dogs and same as pits??! Mine is the biggest teddy bear ever! Love this breed so much!

  • I could not agree more. Mine is the biggest baby in the world. Very few are afraid of her because of the breed, then she gives them a kiss and they realize how special these dogs are. Not one once of mean in them, just playful enthusiasm.

  • oh they are so cute! i used to have one but we had to give it to someone else :(. they are my second favorite dog. The first one is kangals :)

  • I love em. We've had 5 upto now. My favorite dogs, a true friend and companion. Keep up the good work!

  • Excellent video! Great work - these dogs are lucky to have you!!

  • Cute video! I live in WI and my family is looking into Shepherd Rescue this summer. We lost our boy in July and miss having a Shepherd around. We'll look you up!

  • Great job putting this together! I loved the part where the Shep is pulling around the Sheltie by the leash and the Shelties look on it's face. Funny.

  • That's my boy! Owen loved taking dogs for walks! :)
