Mussolini was also a socialist.

@toothpickdinner I don't know for sure. I believe Americans are of many colors and protest for many reasons. This is not about civil rights, it's about voters fearing government take over. Face it most voters haven't a clue what is in a bill. They do know this country is in dire need of leadership. The wonderful thing about living in a free country, is the right to organize a legal protest without government interfering. We've had to fight for that right in the past, but there it is.

This is all about regaining power, not some kind of movement against federal spending or socialism or civil rights. If it actually were about any of the issues then where were they when George W. Bush was in office? Passing the Patriot Act, Military Commisions Act, legalizing torture, no bid contracts to Haliburton, raising the deficit by 4 TRILLION dollars...just to name a few things that arent exactly the most ideal American actions. Every poll from any major news network including CNN shows that the majority of this nation does not want obamacare. The tea party protesters are made up of ordinary people with no hidden agenda, they just want more freedom and more liberty. They feel they are losing that. BTW over 80% of people in the US are happy with their health insurance.
