This ad is only going to infuriate Quebec voters (who, contrary to popular belief, do not all vote for the Bloc because they want to separate), and anyone who realises that the NDP exists. The Canadian people overwhelmingly said no to Harper, they were just more divided on the issue of who else should be in charge. The coalition represents 62% of Canada. Oh, and westerners: Harper is actually from Toronto--he just couldn't sell his politics there.

While the NDP and Liberals would impose greater control over the economy (which is what has kept Canadian banks afloat despite the Conservative opposition to it--though they now take credit for our relative stability), the NDP vehemently opposes the social control that the right stands for (ie, Bush and Harper). Bush nationalized banks out of desperation, not ideology, and was criticised by some of his supporters for it. Anyhow--care to explain what is actually bad about nationalization? lol, the banks in Canada have a more conservative strategy than their American and European counter parts, not because the government told them how to run their business, lol. Nationalization means that the state is in control and not the people. It goes against basic fundamental democracy.
