alot of ppl get mad and or jealous when they see ppl do this because they dont have the time patients or talent to do this so they make up bad things to say about ppl who can do this. this is a great picture no matter wut anybody says. btw if u got a tablet it would be easier.
@Sveeiren I feel the same way. I do like to draw my own things as well. This was just a project I wanted to get done. It wasn't out of laziness. This damn vector took me more than 8 to complete. I do have other art that I've done myself.
Id still consider it tracing. Just digitally. Your still modifying and copying something that isnt yours, without the original artists permission. Other peoples artwork shouldnt be modified without permission.
@LightGuardianAngel Use the Pressure tool. Click the line point you want to make thinner and just drag your mouse to increase or decrease the lines width.
@kkjeannefan07 As far as I know, SAI doesn't have any ways of showing your transparency. So usually in other programs the transparency shows as a grayish transparent grid, while in SAI, it only just shows as white. I just save my SAI file as a Photoshop PSD than save it in a transparent PNG. If your talking about something completely different from what I answered, just comment again in more detail.
@magicalelephantz you know you can change the title of videos anytime you want. and I commented on this vid...what 1 month ago? yes 1 month ago. read. da fuck. I hate getting comments like these. dont reply.
Guys this isn't tracing this is VECTORING. People do this to put completely clean renders in signatures. As far as I know all vector creators even say they don't own it, just VECTORED it.
@TheEmoSkeleton No there is a difference. Tracing doesn't benefit ANYONE. Vectoring benifits wallpaper makers, signature designers, and all types of other things.
@Azumangafan12 Semantics.. they are pretty much one and the same regardless if you take credit or not. The only difference is that vectoring is digital (and looks much better) :p
sir, is there pressure sensitive vector brushes on SAI? like in adobe ilustrator?

@Sveeiren i agree! if they can trace why cant they try to draw their own pics
Lilypad443 1 year ago
@Lilypad443
Exactly. Though i like to think of tracers as wimps really. They're too afraid to draw something on their own. Or too lazy.

This is still tracing
"vectors" as you call it is still tracing over the original to get a "cleaner lineart"
So yea
you're tracing the lineart to make it look cleaner.

this is actually a good vid for learning how to do lineart. just think of the original picture in this vid as your sketch.
and to the people who call this 'tracing'. learn how to fucking read. dumb asses.
LivinusX 1 year ago
@LivinusX The title says "vector tracing".... unless I'm a "dumb ass" and not reading that correctly.

@likedreads When you create a new layer. Click the "New Vector Layer" instead of the "New Layer" button. After that just use the "Curve" tool.
