Actually there are "R's" in Japanese it just there a little weird compared to English R's. I hope you don't mind if correct you and give a quick lesson. To Quote one of my Sensei "I would say Japanese R are Generally 70%-R 20% D and 10% L" which is for the most part true the Japanese are is flipped ad light "la" sound to it sometimes.
