  • Ok, first off I'm new to this, but looks to me like this stuff would not mix well or settle out right. I mean you measure out everything going in, but what percentages are you getting out in that one cup scoop each day? Not very even mix of each ingredient I would think, and knowing my luck it would be mostly cyan pepper at the end of day six! Wow hot! :)

  • yaaaaaaaaay wooot suppppa fut smothys sooo kool

  • why

  • What are you doing? What are these worried names? I really do need to know

  • Comment removed

  • It takes me like 2 min to make one ... your slow

  • That mix must be a strong laxative:))

  • This guy is great, I love that he thinks about the nutrition this much. I have some of the stuff you got, but you really take it to another level :)

So Rawmodel, how's the tast? It would be quite strong, right, so how what vegetables are you using to balance the taste? I'm guessing this is for a green smoothie.

  • this is great - I love Dr Schultze Superfood Plus from superfoodplus website

  • where can I see these ingredients written down? I'm not sure how to spell those exotic names

  • Anthony! You've become distracting... I cannot comprehend what you're talking, because you're visually SO GORGEOUS!... You ARE the visual SUPERFOOD!!!... I'd better sign off; otherwise, I would gorge myself to death... Thanks!

  • too much shit too much time and too exotic. simplify

  • OMG! I was JUST thinking of doing this like 5 minutes ago. You are right it takes sooooo long.

  • nice video cheers from melbourne australia .

  • Would you list the ingredents as i cant spell some

  • dude i want to eat raw food diet which gives me great muscle too cause i want to look bigger so can you make a smootie or salad video that has the most low carb high protien thing going for it..thanks man..great vid

  • Check out my wild green superfood smoothie video. This one above had WAY too much stuff in it, and I would never make one like that again I think.

If you give your workout 110% 5-6 days a week and then drink a great smoothie right after, youll be seeing serious results in 2-4 weeks. Consistency is key.

    Thanks for the comments

  • @Rawmodel - So what would you do instead?

  • Totally agreed. My perspective has shifted quite a bit since this video. I just wanted to show what was possible with pre-mixing, but I admit it was pretty overkill and haphazard. I believe far more in local mineral rich foods than all these superfoods, although superfoods do play a large role in taking it to the next level, I eat modest amounts these days.

    Good points of course...thanks Lewis.

  • Do you believe that eating all of these obscure ingredients really adds much of a benefit to your health?

I mean if we want to get back to nature, we never would have had any of these foods available to us when we lived off our own land.

  • all these things will cost you a fortune.., great if you have 48 dollars for one ingredient..otherwise must play lottery

  • Nah...most things are cheap when you break them down. Each smoothie probably costs $3-5 dollars. WAY more than anything at a shop.

Think of it as PER SERVING.

  • the rich mans diet?

  • Or the superfood nut's diet. Adding everything up, and then breaking it down on a daily basis made each smoothie about $5 for me. Not bad considering what was in there and what people pay for a juice somewhere. Its all about the per-serving price.

Stick with bee pollen, hemp, maca, and mesquite and youre good. I added WAY too many ingredients in this vid. Just to show how far it can go I suppose..

  • Very nice.

Any idea how many carbs in one day's scoop of this mix?

  • what did he say that was on 3:14??

  • "This is astragalus root powder. You can also go with regular chunks of astragalus root..."

I'm not sure how it's correctly pronounced but I would have put the stress on the second last syllable, like: astra GAL us.

  • What is the specific purpse of all these ingredients? I am familiar with a few, but I dont know all of them. I have always eaten pretty healthy, but now am looking to supplement with some non-food (i.e. not derived from the fruits and veg I eat) items. What are the best/most essential ones? I need to start wih only a few b/c they can be pretty pricey!

Love your vids and your blog!

  • I would keep it really simple. I had way too many ingredients in this mix, but it was extreme to show what was possible.

My main favorites now are hemp butter, raw egg yolks, bee pollen, maca, and gojis. Mostly bee pollen and hemp.

Sorry to confuse if I did...keep reading and see what might work for you. Above all, good mineral rich fats and minimizing refined oils and carbs are your best bet.

  • whats a good workout or meal that wont gain muscle and make u look waify. i dont like a lot of bulk in my body as a woman.

  • I think you would like the Tracy Anderson Mat workout.

Its really about exercise...and if you can work out before breakfast, you will have quicker results.

Keep the cooked carbs very VERY light...

  • i wanna see how this guy looked before he did his smoothies

  • Check out my site for some before and after pics...

Of course...you have to exercise. Eating food wont magically put muscles on your body.

But rebuilding that tissue with superfoods LITERALLY makes your body an end products of superfoods like bee pollen and hemp. Id rather be built out of those than white bread and coca cola.

  • I think making ridiculous complex superfood smoothies defeats the purpose of the nutritional component or your body actually absorbing any of it. Would it not just end up as a sludge?

  • Good point...there were lots of things in here, but its just an example. The main point was to show the idea of making "Superfood Blends" pre-mixed for your smoothie...saving time and not making such a mess.

But yeah...it could end up pretty nasty, so you have to fiddle with it.

  • anyone know if the herbs and plants will react to one another ?

  • That depends on the person. If I make these too thick, I will get gas, but no bad reactions otherwise.

Its up to you to experiment with different blends. The ingredients used are completely interchangeable...this vid was to show possibilities and how to SAVE TIME.

  • yeah, Its a great idea, especially if you make blends everyday. I just haven't looked into physical contact of different herbs n such, Im sure alot of it is safe and fine, But who knows.

  • Any ideas what's the orac value per serving? Appreciate if you could provide it:)

  • i have NOOOOO idea. Dont sweat little details like that....it can overwhelm some people.

If there is lots of cacao, the orac is plenty high.

But yeah...dont let the numbers drag you down.

    A

  • This is a nice video and a good idea. Now, as my budget has mightily tightened, I wonder about the cost of an array of nutrients like yours. Also, is there a way to get the superfood benefits with less ingredients?

  • This was pretty complex, but I priced it out and each serving was about $4 a day. Not bad, right???

Buy in bulk and the savings are massive.

  • Thanks so much! Great video, especially the raw food suppliers. I'm always on the lookout for those. Keep the video's coming! Ginny

  • Some are too hard on the liver and some other organs....like the tree barks especially. I agree...I take it easy on those. Its good that you noticed that. Long term use might be considered months....maybe a few weeks wouldnt be a huge deal, but thats up to each on of us to figure out.

  • Hi! Thanks for the great video. I am interested in getting started enjoying the benefits of a superfood smoothie. I was checking out some of these herbs at mountain rose herbs and they suggest that some of these herbs shouldn't be taken on a regular basis- how would you respond to that?

    Thanks!

    Sarah

  • sorry for the slow reply. Totally true...especially the root barks. Very cleansing. I think they mean months and months of use.

I totally advise everyone to read about each herb before deciding to add it to your personal "mix"...

  • Ingredients

Astragalus root, Barberry Fruit Bark, Barley Grass Juice Extract, Cat's Claw, Cayenne Pepper, Chlorella, Fo-Ti Root, Hawthorn Berry, Maca, Mesquite, Nettles, Pao D'Arco, Royal Jelly, Sea salt (black), Sheep Sorrel, Spirulina, Vitamineral Green, Wild Bee Pollen

  • Hey Anthony, thanks for sharing your idea on using a jar.. dont know how I never thought of this before, it just makes sense. Also, thanks for telling me about mountain rose herbs, they have a huge selection with detailed information and great prices. You mentioned in your video that you keep the jar in the fridge, do you keep all of the individual superfoods refrigerated as well? I keep my bee pollen in the fridge but not my spirulina.

  • I would really like the recipe you have on your video for super fudge and what are the

ingredients you mention that you put in the jar I believe you make it for a smoothie. Also

where can I buy all these ingredients? Thanks

  • Could you make a list of all the ingredients you used? Not sure I know how to spell all you mentioned.

  • this is such a great idea! I'm into a green juice in the morning, but would love to get some more superfoods in the mix. Thanks anthony!

  • Wow, thanks for this way to make our lives easier! Before, I've only seen the Cats Claw & Pau D'Arco only as a tea extraction- another teacher (DW) has said to make it as a tea b/c you need high temperature to extract the fat-soluable components of the herb. Can you comment please? Can you get the same effect from eating the dried herb? It would sure be a lot easier! Thanks also for giving the best resources to get all the ingredients!

  • Ive seen those two herbs available as pill form...I figured eating it has to be better than nothing. I dont heat anything anymore. He is probably right though...experiment for yourself...

  • Funny. I just got the MRE catalog at the Natural Food Expo, they were right next to us and I was browsing through it (just bought coconut oil) and looked you up to see you buy their stuff. It doesn't look good...but I will buy all this stuff and try it out. How much of this stuff do you buy at a time?

  • I usually buy a pound at a time...each pound will last me MONTHS. MONTHS. Its ridiculous. And trust me...it tastes GOOD. Ask anyone who went to the We Like it Raw retreat.

  • Can you post of a list of all those things you added?? I would really like to know. And a list of the places you got everything. thanks!!

  • Come on...its all mentioned in the video. Especially the list of places.

  • Astragalus root, Barberry Fruit Bark, Barley Grass Juice Extract, Cat's Claw, Cayenne Pepper, Chlorella, Fo-Ti Root, Hawthorn Berry, Maca, Mesquite, Nettles, Pao D'Arco, Royal Jelly, Sea salt (black), Sheep Sorrel,

Spirulina, Vitamineral Green, Wild Bee Pollen

  • u are hawt.

oh, and that aside, thanks for the great tip! It's always good to see quick and easy ways to get healthy stuff into your day, especially for a recent switcher to raw foods from a SAD like me, and many other americans who want to be healthy, but don't want to use a lot of time!

  • Brilliant! If people only knew how great these things make you feel!

  • You'd be suprised...if you buy in bulk, its not bad. And you feel so good, that it doesnt even become an option anymore. Each serving is about $3.

You couldnt get this in a smoothie bar EVER.

    Gotta love the Do-It-Yourself Ethos...

  • that sounds pretty good. i'll have to try to buy some of this stuff in bulk! :)

  • wow. that looks good but quite expensive.
