@lolerdylol If you haven't realised already, most metal is derived from blues in the first place, so yeah, play this faster with high gain over a heavy rhythm and it'll work perfectly.
This video , and your 5 boxes videos helped me a lot .
Wish you could do other videos on this theme , which would help me and i believe so many others to not et stuck in the same pentatonic blues scale .
For example my problem is when to use which box , im not sure how and when to move to one box to another , im trying but an explanation with the notes u play during each box would be cool .
Awesome!!! I've been trying to figure out these little nuances for quite awhile with little success. My guitar teacher is very good but he's a rock guy and doesn't care too much for learning riffs like these. You have earned yourself a fan!
I appreciate your unbridled enthusiasm! ( try not to use too much profanity in the comments though...I've got viewers of all ages and I don't want to get in trouble with their parents.) Glad you're enjoying the videos. Check out the gear demo videos over at the website if you haven't already.
I've always had trouble dropping down to that box from the 5 note Albert King box.... ESPECIALLY in Gb... thanks alot for showin' how to do that, i never figured to do that bend half way through

Is it possible to use this in funk, rock & roll and in metal? Or only in slow blues?
