  • album versin with NYC street scenes, not sure about the tunnel it might be the holland tunnel

  • I saw this movie it was amazing

  • I played this for my Grandmother's friend and she was like 'what was that that's not a song'

I fucking died a little inside

  • looking at this reminds me that one day years ago real music was popular.

  • It is in fact Pittsburgh, Pa. They drive through the Fort Pitt Tunnel which goes into the heart of the city. Always was one of my favorite parts of TSRTS since I live just outside the city and make that drive often. Had tix to see them once, them Percy's son died and they cancelled.

  • what city is this??

  • @TheStormtrooperrr New York, Madison Square Garden 1973

  • 0:18 that's a view.

  • Brings me back to the 70's. I start almost every day by playing this song.

  • 0:11 what city is that it looks like pittsburgh

  • @fl00dsm0k3 new york :P

  • i like the situation in the car where robert plant looks a bit hangover-style . must be a beautiful day after a nice trip driving through nyc and the sun goes up over the builidings. guys: THIS IS A MUST-HAVE-RECORD!

  • ''OK GUYS LET'S GOOOOO!!'' *symbals crash*

  • @suburbia67 XD i love tht part

  • I hate the fact that this song has got an end

  • @D3rFabi agreed!!!this song,just like the rain song should never end :)

  • con carino pedrito algo del jimmy ....><.....

  • the best concert ever

  • twas nice to hear a merry ole tune

  • For detractors who say that living poets are by-products of yesteryear just listen to this piece of music and see what talent and musical genius is. Of course JP could slash like non other but it's this piece of singular music that is a testament to his ability to put his soul in guitar notes. May the beauty of music never fade to pop-culture, yet may it start a revolution once again.

  • Bron~yr~Aur

  • I get this confused with the other version, page shouldve named it 1 and 2

  • @wisesatyr72 that's why it's Bron-Yr-Aur and Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp..

  • I so agree.

  • page is the best!!

  • awesome, but this is not live its the studio recording

  • i think the only live version it's from, "blueberry hill" the la form 1979 show

  • .@f3rfra Er no! LZ didnt play a show in he US in 79

  • @coltsuperocean10 oh yeah, sorry, it was 1970

  • yeah this isnt live its the studio version. theres another vid on youtbue which is live though :)

  • this is such a great song. it's too bad it's not a very well known zeppelin song

  • the guys look hammered that early morn in the back of the limo**

  • jimmy overdubbed some gtr parts on this movie...

  • that's the studio version

  • It's quite a sight to see a drab and dull cityscape go from grey to color as the song progresses,

  • im trying to learn this its pretty confusing tho probly because this is one of jimmys best solos

  • Its actually not that complicated as it looks, it's just cause it's in an alternate tuning. Oh well it's been a month so you've probably learned it by now!

  • yeah i actually learned it about a day after i posted that comment lol

  • He actually has played it live. It's just a funky tuning.

  • FAHEY@!

  • This isnt live,i have listened to this song before jesus was born and you can hear its the exact same as the Studio version

  • This is my favorite piece by Jimmy. Acoustic anyway. The vid is perfect for the music too.

  • this is the most played song on my ipod!244 times, and ive had for about 2 months :)

  • This has to be the greatest piece of acoustic guitar playing ever ever ever created, long live JP.

  • live? this is studio record... this is from movie "the song remains the same"

  • this is live, because the studio version was played with a clean electric, not an acoustic...they just used footage over the performance

  • have You ever heard this piece from the CD or vinyl ?

  • yes i have, i just listened again, and I withdraw my statement - I guess I was wrong, haha

  • This song was writen and recorded with his 1971 Martin D28 Acoustic Guitar the 1st Martin he ever bought

  • Great rock guitarists occasionally recorded acoustic or classical solos but none match Jimmy's Bron yr aur - not in terms of complexity or creativity of course, but rather in terms of sheer sonic pleasure and beauty.

  • does anyone know what key this song is in?

    is it G?

  • it's open C tuning, but instead of second G you give A:

    ECGCAC

  • It's tuned CACGCE.

  • i wrote the same...

  • really? take another look you fool

  • i wrote like that : ECGCAC you wrote that: CACGCE. I wrote in the other order it's not my problem you didn't recognize it..

  • i love it:)

  • Jimmy Page live?

    What the hell?

  • Jimmy Page LIVE...in the studio. This song always conjured up images of lush green countrysides so the limo and skyscrapers always struck me as a mismatch. Still sounds great tho'

  • well its about a cottage in wales so thats probably why it reminds you of that lol...

i remember picking up physical graffiti and readin the track listing, i saw bron-yr-aur on it, thought 'that sounds welsh' (coz im welsh), and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music i have ever heard, if not THE most beautiful

  • 0:24 <3

  • 0:30 <3

  • most beautiful sonmg ever

  • i agree. too beautiful for lyrics, words to this song would only make it lose meaning

  • love

  • aw...

  • This is that video clip from one of the 2 DVD's "The Song Remains the Same." Good movie and awesome songs on there.

  • I can litterally listen to this song forever and it never gets old

  • same

  • yep same here. most beautiful thing i've ever heard played on a 12 string.

  • im 100% sure that this is the studio version

  • ....Imagine if you were just a young lad, about 22/23 years old, and you were in the biggist, loudest band ever!! That has got to be the best feeling ever!!

  • he was like 27 lol

  • Absolutely! Gotta be one of the greatest feelings possible!

  • Loooove this solo.

  • i don't think it's live. sounds just like the studio version. i do love the movie though

  • Yeah you're right mate, it from the Song Remains The Same, excellent stuff though

  • My FAVORITE part of the movie!!!!!

  • i recoreded this. TY DVR!

  • woot! pittsburgh is the location of the video. id recognize the veiw of the liberty bridge coming out of the tubes any day ;P sweetness

  • i dont know if all the video is from pittsburgh but i believe the beginning is at least

  • NYC

  • Happy Birthday Jimmy Page

  • Song Remain The Same Video...=)

  • the most perfect visual to put with this song. i can just imagine Robert just relaxing and enjoying New York with this song

  • Yeah, with a spliff in one hand and a bottle of champagne in the other.

  • If this at all like ragtime?

  • this is not live dumbass

  • hey he's not a dumbass

at least he posted the video for us

  • Yeah, it IS live!! He's playing the guitar right there in the limo... isn't he..? And JPJ's doing the filming. I think.

  • yeah

  • I love this song...i always listen to it when im traveling and looking out the window.

  • Same here.

  • awsome

  • Perfection.

  • the perfect driving song

  • this is such a sick part of the video. the goosebumps start

  • dude this isnt live

  • yeah, this is actually the studio version

  • Thanks for posting this.. I've always loved this clip from The Song Remains the Same. The greatest band ever arriving in New York to put on a show of all shows.
