Best FPS of the year... because its based upon ACTUAL events and it is not about Russians attacking the US or some "Black Ops" guys doing stupid and historically untrue things around the globe. There was a shit load of enemy fire and as a result one of the SEAL's Petty Officer First Class Neil C. Roberts fell off the back ramp (as opposed to jumping in the game). Chopper landed further down the mountain, rangers came to help, their chopper was also disabled. Roberts eventually died but not before killing dozens of taliban.

This game won't be your average war game where you get a weapon and kill/blow everything up, it will be about respect for the soldier. Bringing in the emotional side of war and what these men and women go through over there to the game.

That game WAS really fun, but it wasn't historical. Anyone who played the game knew that. In WWII there weren't Chaingun-Wielding Super Nazis or 40-story concrete fortresses in town centers.

Why all the controversy around the taliban, there is games where you play taliban insurgents and it's all based around realism. Medal of Honor has some aspects of realism. But really what makes it any different to play as the OP-FOR in call of duty let alone gunning down civilians in a russian airport? You see, a company that helpped make MOH Allied Assault nearly a decade ago, decided to make the first of the COD franchize. So COD is a rip off of MOH in every way. I don't care if you think it is better, I just wanted to let you know that. And besides, they are a company that makes war games and they need to keep up with the others. MOH have been 1000000times better than any other games in terms of respect, no exaggereation, authenticity, current/historical even values, effort of research, and most of all, authenticity that you can't see in any other games. No offense, but the MoH series has NOT consistently put historical accuracy above gameplay. Now I'm not arguing that the new Medal of Honor isn't trying to be realistic, because it seems like it is, but not all previous installments have been accurate. Let me point out MoH: Airborne. That game WAS really fun, but it wasn't historical. Anyone who played the game knew that. In WWII there weren't Chaingun-Wielding Super Nazis or 40-story concrete fortresses in town centers.

@Joshw124 Not flashpoint-style realistic. But really realistic. For example, when using a sniper rifle, the round hits a second after impact. You have to gauge wind speed and stuff.

Why all the controversy around the taliban, there is games where you play taliban insurgents and it's all based around realism. Medal of Honor has some aspects of realism. But really what makes it any different to play as the OP-FOR in call of duty let alone gunning down civilians in a russian airport? The plain fact that two forces are fighting online with different weapons and objectives means nothing in my view. so to hell with the controversy if you don't like it, don't play it.

im actually less interested in the gameplay i really just want to know and understand what these guys go through day in and day out and appreciate all that they have sacrificed for this country and us. i hope some of you will do the same and maybe not just look at this as just another video game. this is based off of real people who did this shit. just put yourself in their shoes while you play the campaign and imagine what it must have been like for them...
