It is best in SAA's to load only 5 bullets. Load one, skip one, load 4. This leaves the hammer on an empty cylinder. Otherwise, you run the risk of bumping the hammer and causing it to fire. Unless your gun has a safety like the Rugers do, leave one chamber empty for safety's sake. I have an Uberti .45 LC Regulator model that looks exactly like the one in this video.
now havin one of those in the wild west sounds like a bad idea, since it would take forever to reload but then again u could always carry a few if u had the money
@wayneakrid Nah, they didn't need more than 6 rounds, most fights were over by then, also you could still load it quicker than any gun before. Even the popular Enfield musket could only be fired at like 3 rounds a minute. Then came the black powder revolver, loading each cylinder like the rifle. Took a full minute to reload half the chambers, or 4 at most. This whole vid is under a minute, putting in the new shells is another 20 seconds tops.
@wayneakrid As Revolver Ocelot said: "Six bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves".
If you were fighting with one of these, you won't need six rounds... You only have to hit your opponent one time, two at most, out of six shoots. Difficult, but not impossible.
It's like you said... To make themselves sure, some people carried two of these. If they emptied one, they only had to draw the other. Better than reloading in the middle of the gunfight.
Could you guys do a series of videos showing us how to load weapons, I don't quite know the technique to loading pistol magazines and it would be really helpful.
that ratchet clicking sounds nice lol

Actually, I say that the first step would be to make sure the gun is in a safe direction.
