  • Yes, the Stones are the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world.

And we can say they presumably will always be the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world...

What would we do without Keefy ?

  • I grew up on these guy...a wonderful gift from both of my parents

  • Mr. postman -Beatles

  • Great at that time, great still today.

Something that we can just admire !

  • Who tf would dislike this?!

  • this is stones...i like

  • Love the early Stones and later too.Just the best.

  • j'ai vécu à cette époque ,les années folle de ma jeunesse .merci kazu de m'avoir fait ces moments délirant j'ai aimé

  • one of my favorites by the stones

  • @63Mastermind piss off.

  • shut up wit this '' no stones without jones.., stones died when brian died''

it did not. how can someone say that when sticky finger and exile on main street realeased just a few years later.

    dumbasses. :)

  • @jokowwenna You're right, the Stones didn't die when Brian did,and subsequently released some great albums. But when you take such a musical genius out of the equation,a big hole emerges.Mick Taylor was a brilliant guitarist and certainly did the technical job but Brian was the founder and soul of the band, and things could never be quite the same again. My teen years were spent worshipping the Stones and,to my mind, their unique magic has never been equalled.I wish I could re-live the 60's!!

  • CUTE ! ! !

  • Es war einmal ....

  • Classic !

  • this is lip synched for sure...thats why you don't see the 12 string or acoustic guitar..they did that a lot on those old tv shows....

    great song...;

  • Thanks to one of the greatest fan of the Stones (Martin Scorsese) and his amazing movie (Mean Streets) I came to know this song, now I can't get it out of my head... I love it!

  • One of the earliest Jagger/Richards songs and one of the best. I think this is possibly Mick's strongest vocal performance. I bet if you polled 1000 Stones fans this would be in almost everybody's top 5. Only released as a single in the US,never the UK. How very strange. Who would have thought this song would sound just as fabulous 47 years on - surely concrete proof that the Stones are the greatest rock band the world has ever known.

  • @purplepelican69

Its the first song Jagger/Richard composed ! Andrew Oldham locked them in a room and wouldnt let them out until they wrote a song and this is the result ! Fact !

  • @jaqand Thanks, but what about That Girl Belongs to Yesterday, recorded by Gene Pitney and written by Jagger/Richards in 1963??!!

  • i definitely can hear a 12 string guitar, but i can't see it.

  • No Stones without Jones !

  • My favourite Stones track, Superb

  • 2:17

  • What a smash this was at the dance halls :-)))

  • Aaaawwww, long time no hear!!!

  • very early!

  • I think they didn't even shave by those times (well, maybe Charlie Watts did)

    GREAT SONG

  • Hi...I think I am wrong in what I said. The stones are obuiously singing to the recording that was their record. I am sorry but I am not too hip on technology. Especially these days.. Thank you for your e-mail. I still am a Stones fan and I always will be. In fact I am almost as old as they are...64!! It's just a number though. Again thank you...karmicsin1 P.S. I also haue to use the letter "u" in place of the next letter in the alphabet until I get a new keyboard.....

  • mickey you so fine!

  • I loue the Stones but I hate it when they lip sync to a recording. At the time they did as they were told...I guess...

  • @karmicsin1 they don't lip sync in this vid. The sound is put over the vid way later than the original recording, because the quality of sound from 1964 is really awful.

  • NO JONES - NO STONES - NO SHIT!

  • Coolest band of all time!

  • The Rolling Jones

  • Great song....love the guitar solo!

  • @ilovmusic105 one of jones' rare guitar solos. lovely isn't it.

  • @disjoinedchip2 the fantastic solo is not on the 45.it is on the LP version thank goodness.maybe the best of all time.

  • cant beat this

  • Souvenirs...*

  • Oh yes, Stones was best with Brian Jones. Miss you Brian so much.

  • Quanti ricordi!!!!

  • @50Beatrice Beatrice do you speak english??

    Quanti ricordi means?????

I'm just a simple Dutch guy!!!

  • lovely jones solo.

  • brian

  • Absolutely beautiful, but it is stones!

  • Mick looks so serious in this. He really could play the emotions like a master.

Keith's vocals make this memorable song too

  • My favorite rolling stones song just love it !!!!!

  • REally awesome cut on adjustments of sound to get the quality of realness in this. Salute you to one of the greatest sounds!!!! These guys so good!!!!

  • A favorite Stones tune of mine. Doesn't Charlie Watts always look like his mind is, as Jagger and Richards titled it, "Two Thousand Light Years From Home"? HAHAHA! How about Bill Wyman? To retitle another Stones tune, he has a "Face (not Heart) Of Stone". HAHAHAHA!

  • Have listened to the Stones since day one. I think this is one of their best songs. Definitely underrated.

  • No offense meant, honest, but Jones wasn't the only Stones. They did perfectly well without him, and he was a bit of a jerk, a constantly high and drugged jerk. Not that none of the rest of them didn't get high, but at least they didn't drown in their swimming pools and have two or three bastard children while still teenagers.

  • great song

  • no jones no stones?

  • Like if this makes you think of Mean Streets.

  • de 1964

  • This was - still is - my favourite by them..

  • This was the first song I remember hearing by The Stones. This and "Fortune Teller" (original vinyl More Hot Rocks version) are my two favorites, along with "Dandelion", "Ruby Tuesday", and "She's A Rainbow". Gawd, there are so many great ones. Love the '60s Stones.

  • great song

  • drummer looks so bored here

  • @KRyyr charlie watts always looks that way

  • i had no idea that the spectacular intermezzio guitar rif was brian jones.i always thought it was keith richards.i just love it and it was removed from the 45 release.it's on the LP and i have enjoyed it for years.thank you u-tube

  • Mick Jagger = The Sexiest Man The World Has Ever Known

Charlie Watts = Most Laid Back Drummer of All Time

  • Keith's vocals on this wonderful and heartfelt song are utterly amazing

God how young they all are here too....

  • God.....were they talented!

  • Marketed as the Beatles 2, didn't quite work out that way.. did it?

  • great song

  • @desiree50 i believe they got screwed on all royalties up to 67-68 or something by mr klein,an American manager. unfortunately coz this song alone ought to pay them off for life

  • NO JONES NO STONES !!!

  • @RalphvanderPoel absolutely!

  • @RalphvanderPoel I am a beatles gal myself... But I agree with you completly!! I LOVE YOU BRIAN JONES!!

  • @RalphvanderPoel RIGHT!

  • @RalphvanderPoel

wie die 11er Fahrer.... wenn die Karre keine 50.000 Euro kostet is es kein echter...kotz

  • @RalphvanderPoel get fedexpressed u twit

  • @RalphvanderPoel You are ignorant.

  • Unquestionably the Rolling Stones are the greatest rock band in the world.

The sheer raw emotion that they generated in their songs is mind blowing.

  • @boazyu do you know why the stones where the greatest? cause they said they were in 64.then they continued on and proved it!

  • no jones no stones

  • lol

  • @1951pinky no mick tayor keef n what about mick

  • early Stones were great

  • i will always like the ending of this song.and is it true that Brian Jones is singing solo on this song? peace Desiree

  • @Desiree50 brian did the guitar solo. not sure about the vocal solos.

  • @Desiree50 but the guitar solo is beautiful so much prettier than keef's samey solos.

  • @sattski that song is just so pretty, even the tambourines get to me.i wonder if Brians estate still gets money from early royalties or they were just givena lump sum at some point?

  • @Desiree50 - nope, the harmony vocals are all Keith.Interesting to hear how his voice sounded before the hard living kicked in. Always makes me smile to think he was a choir boy as a child. On the solos, Brian was responsible for most slide parts between 64-67 while Keith provided the Chuck Berry style licks and solos. 67 - 69 after Brian declined Keith did all the guitar parts.

  • Just kids. Young kids. Ohhhhhhhh....

  • @karinablacktie Just babies really. But what babies they were.

  • a rare brian jones solo. and may i say it's perhaps the most beautiful solo they ever did.

  • jonas>jagger>richards>watts>wayman

  • @BooBoo1005x i think its wyman not wayman and jones not jonas.peace Desiree

  • @Desiree50 you are so right and on the solo at the end i would say yes on that also
