  • Quint is such a troll.

  • fucking hilarious....

  • The look he gives him at the end hahaha

  • Thumbs up for the Oscar that belonged to legendary quint ;D

  • @socloseno - i've always wondered how the hell he didn't get a Best Supporting Actor nod for this. He sure as hell deserved it.

  • The kid looked like he was about to cry

  • I remember they added this back into the movie when ABC showed it for the 25th anniversary

  • @sarrialways

Where did you see the movie? On TV?

Sometimes on TV, they add the deleted scenes to make the movie fit in a better time slot.

  • Young Steve Jobs on the clarinet?

  • LOL i can not watch this scene without laughing

  • I can watch this 100 times and laugh every time. Classic Quint!!

  • They hould make that secene more realistic by putting seagulls into the scene but not a loud screeching just like in the background it is abeach for god sake ^^

  • Adam Sandler is owned

  • ¿Deleted? I watch this scene in the movie!!

  • robert shaw is the best actor

  • Why did they delete this scene?

    It's so awesome.

  • Katie's got a thing for Quint but every week Quint's always got to deal with this cockblocker. No More Kid! BA-BA-BA-BAAAA-BA :.(

  • 4 people choked on quints piano wire

  • I've seen this cut scene on and off when it's on tv and was hoping it would be on that special edition Jaws dvd released a while ago but it wasn't. Any scene with Quint adds flavor to the movie!

  • ROFL. That is hilarious.

  • it was removed because it has a pedo feel to the line. he has a flute in his mouth and is told he chokes that stuff.

  • @grendel1980 It´s a clarinet.

  • @grendel1980 you're not smart

  • Geez, they found the most Jewish looking kid they could find to play the nerd. Nothing like typecasting I guess.

  • @fliegeroh This movie was directed by Steven Spielberg. SpielBERG.

  • Why wasn't this in the movie, this adds ever more dimension to Robert Shaw's character and let's the audience figure out that even though he's and asshole your gonna love this character in a comedic way, also with some sympathy because we find out why this guys so crazy. (he watched his friends get eaten by sharks, in case you were wondering what I meant)

  • robert shaw in a way made the movie.and this scene is funnier than the hooper laugh!this scene would of added some humor to the movie which they sprinkle in throughout the film.

  • lol hes such a ass

  • whahahaah, epic. whenever im drunk and up to late...i always find myself singing two songs from this movie....im tired and i want to go bed...and spanish ladies....classic

  • i think the kid was about to cry :P

  • and thats why he's eaten by the shark

  • comic book guy from the Simpsons 'worst music lesson ever"

  • Im a musician..and #3 reeds are NEVER softer than #2s that makes no sense. Its called Strength 3 for a reason

  • @noahuh800 That's why it was deleted.

  • A lot of people talk about the kid and such in this deleted scene and rightly so, but ever notice that Quint was sure real nice to "Katie" and she was real nice to him. Any thoughts on this?

  • @reving19 It's just a movie.

  • @tryithere _ Wow, really? Is it tough being a genius?

  • @reving19 Not really.

  • @tryithere - It is always tough to be a genius. However, it is quite easy to be stupid.

  • @reving19 And you're quite good at it.

  • @tryithere - At being a genius? Why thank you!

  • @reving19 I knew that would be your reply but does an idiot ever know he's an idiot? No, you don't, do you?

  • @tryithere - Well, let's see - you wrote a reply that you new would be turned around on you. I wouldn't exactly put that in the "genius" category. The answer to your first question would be "no" as you are demonstrating. The second one does not apply to me, so you will have to ask yourself that question and then answer.

  • @reving19 new???

  • I have the dvd and have seen this flick many times and havenever seen this in the movie. Some people are saying it's there but I really dont think it is

  • i thiiiiiink i can tell why it was deleted but HA XD funny

  • My parents recorded this movie off TV in 1977-78 which we still have. Although the station did butcher the film and cut some scenes out to meet other scheduled programming, this was one of the scenes that WAS in the movie...Was never deleted.

  • That kid was getting more and more pissed by the second. I would have just stopped playing until Quint left.

  • lol this is going to be me when i'm that age. a war torn vet like quint

  • im sure this was included in the movie?? ive definitely seen this before in the movie

  • Haley Lent. loves this video bah.bah.bah how funny

  • Love IT was vary funny seen it 27 times. huge jaws fan. Haley lent

  • that should have been on the movie!

  • Everyone says he's bullying. He's not. He was accompanying the kid, until the kid played off key, and painfully so, and Q got mad at him for ruining Beethoven. I think the point of the scene was to show that the rough uneducated shark fishermen could keep Beethoven on key and the kid studying music couldn't.

  • Quint has a sexy walk

  • @IntolerantAtheist1 we can only hope your life is a horror film then

  • I remember this from tv in the late 80's on premium. Channels but as the movie got older they cut alot out while it was out of print. When it came back that part and a couple others where gone and this is not the only movie this happened to. I can think of about five other unrelated movies that suffered these cuts.

  • Beethoven - Ode to joy

  • Lol u can see the kid is getting so angry xD I dnt think this scene is in the tv version xD

  • Vintage Spielberg, although I question whether or not this truly a deleted scene, as it has appeared many times on televised presentations of the film. Perhaps it will reappear for the 40th anniversary edition

  • BAAAA BA BA BA BA BAAAAAAAAAAA BA BA.... >_>

  • @MAD9711 yep

  • lol cool, but can see why ti was deleted. Pretty redundant to the plot really and adds very little to the Quint's character apart from cheapening him a little (well, a lot really).

  • Great actor Robert Shaw.I agree one of the best characters of all time.Which shows with durability remember this film was made 36 years ago.Real class film.

  • @MAD9711 - I saw Jaws at the movie theatre when it came out in summer of 1975. This scene was in it. Trust me, I remember because as a 13 year old kid it was the 1 scene I could handle and managed to watch. In fact, I don't recall seeing this scene in any of the TV versions in last 15-20 years. They may show it, I don't know. Depends in what market you're in and what version your local TV stations have.

But I know i saw this scene in the movie theatre when it fist came out.

  • @Bamruff62 I only saw this scene once on television.

  • @yahooveritas

yeah, same, I thought this was in the original movie, I never knew it was a deleted scene

  • This scene always was in the movie. When did they delete it?

  • In a JAWS marathon on AMC they showed the entire 1st movie with deleted scenes added back in. This was also the first time I saw the movie in its entirety so I always thought that scene was actually in the movie until I actually bought it.

  • Muhaha

  • how the hell do you delete this scene? i know it doesn't add one single bit of plot to the movie, but WOW shaw is a friggin' amazing actor.

  • @bonesteve The movie was too long and needed trimming no other reason. I like it though, it's really funny!

  • 0:56

    xD

  • this scene wouldve taken place sometime shortly after his introduction at city hall.. if you notice when he leaves the hall he is walking away with that same guy and dog on the same side n everything the he is in the beginning of this scene.. same time of day too

  • this isnt a deleted scene

  • Lol, I love Robert Shaw.

  • I laughed so hard when Quint started yelling when the boy was playing squeaky!! LOL

  • The few times ABC ran Jaws, this scene was intact. Same with the extended scene of Hooper and Brody, before they cut open the shark's stomach.

  • There was no reason to delete this scene. Awesome.

  • I actually like this alot..I wish they didnt delete it

  • gotta love quint's little sidekick

  • BRAVO I GIVE THAT A 5

  • hahahhahaa,,, wow,, this woulda gave the movie 5 stars instead of four!!,,, BRAVO!

  • 0:47-0:50 Epic Rape Face Transition.

  • That kid disliked this video.

  • @AfrojacX and his mother....

  • @AfrojacX he mustve had 3 Other friends who disliked this movie

  • Apparently the people who disliked this video also kept fucking up When Te Saints Go Marching In even with Quint instructing them.

  • This in the 30th anniversary edition.

  • pause at :53. robert shaw has the cutest smile i have ever seen <3

  • This scene was not deleted. It was in the original showing. I remember seeing it at theatre when it first came out. Many people in the theatre laughed.

Trust me, it's in the original showing.

  • it was a really unnecessary scene.... I'm glad they pulled that off. Every second of Jaws is a work of art...

  • Comment removed

  • The 1 dislike is the kid.

  • Robert Shaw the great ENGLISH ACTOR LEDGEND

  • There's something really creepy about that kid. Anyone else notice that?

  • I miss Robert Shaw Alot! Great man.

  • Still can't work out what the hell they were thinking when they filmed this :S

  • I wonder where exactly this scene would have been included. Certainly not good enough to be his introduction.

  • @JustPhilNY Yes, probably it was the reason the scene was cut. The one at the City Hall was the best introduction. However, if this scene was after that, they could leave it, it's funny as hell!

  • FUNNY

  • I swear he is enjoying this.

  • Awesome. I love it when actors just let go of their manic side.

  • baa baa baa baa,BAA BAA BAA BAA BAA BAA BAA BAA! huh?

  • I'd like to watch Jaws, but there is no one in Thailand...

  • Oh my god this is just they way you'd imagine Quint to be. Just a complete jerk, but he knows what he's doing.

  • Deleted scene? This was in the movie. This was in the original showing when the movie first came out. I don't know if it is suppose to be comic relief or an attempt to show Quints off balanced inner self.

  • So, Quint decides to go into a music store and torment some kid before his Bar Mitzvah, and that's fun? ;-)

  • And now ladies and gentlemen, an adolescent Fox Mulder on clarinet.....

  • @clintlaw73 Nobody think it is, dude. Epic win in fact

  • my uncle was a real life quint. he looked , acted, and sounded liek him, funny enough he also was a navy vet and fished. And without a doubt if he was still alive he woudl have done what quint does in this clip,

  • Quint's face at the end is priceless! hahaha

  • @DonCorleone87 Yes! That face is what makes the scene so frickin funny!

  • @DonCorleone87 Baa-baa-baa-baa-baa-baa-baa huh? XD Quint seems like he really hates music. xD

  • @DonCorleone87 That was funny at the end.

  • I joined youtube to give this it's 100th like :D

  • this shud of been included . robert shaw one of the greats

  • oliver reed was offered is part!

  • Am I the only one who's reminded of Kevin, Dr. Mephisto's assistant in South Park, by Quint's little friend at the beginning?

  • this is so funny i wonder why they did not put this in the movie they needed more wuint in this movie

  • I'm like that. : )

  • i would do the exact same thing. :) not that im mean to kids like that. but its funny.

  • What an asshole. But why do we love him so much?

  • Ha ha fuckin' awesome.

  • Qunits face at the end is fucking hilarious!!

  • What a crying damned shame this wasn't in the original movie.

So happy to see it now.

  • what a stupid scene

  • Who was tormenting whom? Looks (and sounds) like the child was tormenting Quint!

  • 1:11 the look on Quint (Robert Shaw)'s face when the kid stopped playing

  • Priceless!

  • I remember this scene from the theater release when we first saw this movie in the theater.

Shaw should have received an oscar for his role. The scene below deck when Shaw starts telling them the story of the U.S. Indianapolis was as great a soliloquy as one might see in a Shakespearan stage play.

  • Heres to swimin with bowl legged women!

  • was that alex kitner?

  • @BlueExclusiveVideos no Kitner was inside jaws by now.

  • Quidaco is great, i've always loved the character

  • Lol. ol Robert Shaw, FUCK YOU Jaws 3 and 4

  • don't see why they deleted this scene Quint is the perfect fatherly figure

  • @Pyro6Burning6Gundam6

They deleted this scene because piano wire actually had LESS of a tensil strength that most fishing wire. The researches saved the director from making an awful decision of including this clip - even if it was good acting.

  • This movie is a classic I love Jaws.

  • when i first watched this as a kid, it wasn't a deleted scene. this is goin back 26 years ago but it was part of the movie. (VHS) then as i got older and watched the movie elsewhere it wasn't in there anymore. i didn't notice cos i was so young when i saw it. till my friend was watchin it wif me and he said, "hey...wheres that scene wif quint.....BAH BAH BAH ABH BAH BAH BAA BAA!!" then i realised holy crap, where is that scene? only for someone on imdb.com to tell me its in deleted scenes.

  • im glad quint got eaten by a shark

  • Glad they deleted that.

  • why did they cut this scene? It is so awsome and funny!

  • @jawszilla They often cut scenes with little or or no plot story for the whole film. This film although funny doesn't quite makes the story continue at a flow its just a funny moment.

  • i love how the kid deliberatly plays out of tune, but Quint's in full stride and doesnt care.

  • And you know he's just loving tormenting this kid. One of the best characters of all time.

  • i see why they deleted it.

  • LMAO. The look at the end is priceless!

  • not a deleted scene.. original movie has it.

  • @danmarino1970 I have the original movie and this scene is not in it.

  • LOL, a classic scene that wasn't even in the movie final cut! Spielberg, Shaw genius!

  • Quint's awesome.

  • It's Marilyn Manson.

  • should have kept it in the film wettin myself laughing top quality

  • Make me think of my band instructor!.. and funny thing is Robert Shaw even looks like an Uncle of mine!

  • hahaha wow they should have put this scene in

  • oooo my god that made me lough so hard .... haha o wow lol ... his eyes r like priceless !!!

  • @joeywizard5

I hope they re-issue Jaws with this scene in final edit. Funny as hell.

  • Quints eyes are priceless in this. OSCAR.

  • would of been funny if quint started to sing that "spanish ladies" song when that boy started to play that flute thing, like he thinks. that's what he's playing.

  • Quint rules

  • Okay he deserved that death

  • The kid should have turned around and smacked that fucker!

  • Haha, good thing that's an outtake!

  • all your base are belong to Quint

  • Quint is awesome

  • lol to Quint's face at the end.

  • this guy acualy kinda looks like my grandfather and the funny thing is he used to catch sharks to he siad when you catch them you shoot them in the head with a sawn off

  • Love this! Robert Shaw actually upstaged the shark for me. He deserved an Oscar and should get a post humnous Oscar for his work. He died way too young.

  • @snowgirl1052 Totally. Quint is why Jaws is a good movie.
