  • ray liotta mother was irish and father italian opossite to goodfellas and they put up him for adoption ,liotta was great in dominick and eugene ,narc, turbulence,Corrina, Corrina, copland, something wild, unlawful entry , Turbulence , the rat pack and Phoenix not just remember ray for goodfellas great career and their his best films his best performance is dominick and eugene and narc.never got oscar nominated a crime and who cares about vice city liotta only took it for the money.

  • dominick and eugene made me cry.

  • Liotta...a foster kid who became a great actor...only in America. Always work hard people, you never know when good things knock on thy door.

  • Starbucks! LOL

  • I liked him in Operation Dumbo Drop!

  • incredible in Narc

  • his devilish laughter in Turbulence was unforgetfull

  • Tommy Vercetti : )))

  • is it true that he was offered the Role of Tony Soprano and turned it down?

  • That's the rumor, anyway. He wanted to star in Smith because he thought that The Sopranos would flop. The opposite happened.

  • @rig48 I think he was offered the role of Ralph Cifaretto

  • 5 people bought Morries wigs.

  • Apparently 5 people couldn't load this video and disliked it.

  • I was a Ray Liotta fan shortly after playing gta vice city

  • Ray Liotta has the most fantastic eyes..........

  • Ray Liotta was hot when he made Goodfellas, his eyes are great!

  • he was was put on this earth to play henry hill, i mean he is henry hill.

  • thts tommy from vice city

  • I was at a hotel in Santa Barbara and he and his wife and daughter were with him at the pool every day. He must have played with his daughter for 10 hours. He was a really nice guy to everyone too.

  • So whats he high on?

  • the movie suceeded in spite of this guy. i didn't think he was particularly good. if not for getting cast in this one he'd be a total unknown. and i'd say he's drunk here too.

  • @jasonwheel You've got to be kidding me. Ray did this movie for me. Granted it's well written and acted all around, his performance stood out the most for me.

  • @RyanW8 you're the one who's got be kidding i'd say. Pesci, DeNiro, Sorvino and the gang were what made this one. this film is the only thing Liotta will be remembered for.

  • @jasonwheel

he wasnt drunk he just sniffed your mothers pussy....

  • @2006scottw you're a class act man.

  • @jasonwheel

oh sorry was it her farts he sniffed? my bad.....

  • @2006scottw i feel sorry for you, i really do. you have all my symapathy.

  • @jasonwheel

well you can take your sympathy and shove it right up your ass!

  • @2006scottw i grew up my whole life in that area and went to South Shore High School in Canarsie, which is where the movie took place. that's who i am. who are you?

  • @jasonwheel

you left out the part about yourself that you molest domestic pets. wahaha OWNED BITCH! [hehe]

  • Ray´s a little bit off- Bob and Marty had done King of Comedy after Raging Bull...

  • YO TOMMY!

  • it's a little sad that he did Vice City voiceacting just for the money. It would've been better if it was actally some heart involved in his performance. But it turned out good, so maybe it doesn't matter?

  • Comment removed

  • Hi Tommy!

  • thank you for this

  • you are so hot my favorite good fella then joe pechi. isnt he the voice and guy for vice city video game. in 01" i was like awesome graphics it cant any better. holy shit was i wrrong. technology is over the top. plus terminator basically fortold our future. like the unman plane. i guess we better take care of each other a little bit better because soon a machine will be teaching a class room. anyways a tottal hottie. love ya

  • Another casting coup would've been Captain Pike in the Star Trek remake (though I think Bruce Greenwood's also a good actor).

  • i fucken looove him <$

  • ray should do a period film. something maybe set in 1500's maybe, just to him stretch like that would be interesting.

  • I love him!

  • he really seems like a nice guy...like he would talk to you if you met him.

  • @SonnyGTA He is a nice guy. he was filiming by my work in Brooklyn and he stopepd to say hello to everyone

  • great actor - surprised he hasn't done anything in a while

  • I'm watching Goodfellas right now!

  • Ray is one of the best actors ever. He should of done so many more great movies by now.

  • narc !

  • He is a great actor... check him out in Phoenix, Cop Land, Blow, Hannibal...

  • @orlandofriend i think he should play pennywise the dancing clown in the stephen king IT remake. Cant you see it, hes just got that rough exterior and would make a very strange disturbing clown

  • uhh what about Tommy Vercetti?

  • Liotta played Henry Hill perfectly. But for all his potential, he really didn't make another good movie. I haven't seen another movie of his that was halfway decent (including Blow).

  • Come on, Narc was good!!

  • NARC !

  • No one could have played Henry like Ray!

  • THEY DID IT OUT OF RESPECT

  • i think great job i saw goodfellas milon times and still like it and Liotta plays his role great i think best personb t playn Henry Hill i gues

  • He is an amazing actor!

  • Man, his voice is awesome.

And Operation Dumbo Drop wasn't that bad. I thought it was kinda cute.

  • Watch Phoenix if you like Ray, it's a great movie as well

  • nobody could have played henry hill better than ray liotta

  • Liotta is underrated. I think his performace in Cop Land is ven better than Fellas. He did other amazing performaces in great films like Something Wild, Dominick and Eugene, Field of Dreams, Unlawful Entry, Hannibal, Blow, Narc, Identity, Control and Smokin' Aces

  • yeah , hes definitely a good actor...but people will always remember him from goodfellas, because Goodfellas is the shit

  • @blackbarro I support this comment

  • @blackbarro and some other people.. will rememer him from.. Vice city!!

  • @blackbarro tdfny rhg

  • @blackbarro what about Field of Dreams? He was a great Shoeless Joe!

  • you're so right, he was awesome in Cop Land tough to find better

  • @DanielTheWalrus I AGGREE I SAW ALL OF THEM TO & HE IS VERY UNDERATED

  • @DanielTheWalrus what about OBSERVE AND REPORT

  • @DanielTheWalrus Phoenix is another great Liotta film in my opinion.

  • I'm not convinced Liotta was typecast. As I remember it, he made some pretty disastrous career moves all on his own. After playing a crazy cop who stalks Madeleine Stowe, he turns around and does Operation Dumbo Drop. Olivier himself couldn't have survived those flops.

  • It shows how much of casting is networking, persistence, who you know, and a whole lot of damn luck. Ray Liotta was fantastic in this role. Nobody denies that, but there is an endless parade of superior actors who never get the role. I have known many failed actors, and it is without a doubt the most brutal business on earth. Mixed martial arts is less brutal than acting. Why? In MMA, if you win you win. In Hollywood, the criteria is so much fuzzier.

  • He's got a cool voice. I stand in front of the mirror for hours and say "As far back as I can remmeber I always wanted to be a gangster."

  • for originaljesus....oh really? I didn't know you wanted to be a gangster jesus...lol..

  • thats tommy vercetti !! LOL

  • ray liotta's voice is great.

i could listen to him talk all day.

  • i could manage about 2hrs

  • i could fuck for about 2hrs, if the lady talked like ray.

  • I can fuck for 2 hrs and 1 second if the lady DIDN'T talk like Ray!

  • haha

  • I wonder why Ray didn't become bigger in Hollywood after that great performance in Goodfellas. It really is strange, isnt it? Instead he got to play a psycho cop in a cheesy movie nobody saw! And from there he just faded more and more into obscurity...really sad.

  • I suppose thats the downside of playing great in a particular movie. The actors are being trapped. Thats the very reason why Joe Pesci will never be given a decent role in a non mafia movie and for the same reason Angelina Jolie probably will never receive an award for non action movie.

Just sad how things work in the fucking Holywood!

  • he was type-casted. i guess he wouldnt be a draw outside of playing a gangster. just like chris tucker wouldnt be in a drama or anything outside a comedy.

  • Rather be type-casted then never-casted.

Hollywood is a tough business to get into.

  • Joe in home alone is a revelation. Not so much home alone 2

  • my cuzin vinny?,home alone?

  • He was in Bee Movieeeee. Hhahaha, that should have made him much bigger than what goodfellas once made him. Just kiddin, Goodfellas is my favorite movie of all fucking time. How am i funny, tell me?

  • like a clown.

  • ray liotta might not have got huge in hollywood after goodfellas, but he has been in some great lower budget movies, and he is always great in all of his films! he is one of the more talented actors around!

  • Interesting bit about Deniro, by the way... It's interesting just how the process works in the business. Definitely not all about someone's acting chops, but always something more...

  • I'd love to see Something Wild. Ray Liotta is hot, and hilarious. Geez.

  • Something Wild. Now that's a great film. Extremely difficult to find these days.

  • great actors from alec baldwin, mickey rourke and andy garcia wanted the henry hill part...and it went to ray liotta who's an intense great underrated actor!

  • Im glad they decided to use Mr. Liotta, because he did a great job.

  • way to go Ray from a fellow New Jerseyite. Love Ya!!

  • Who doesn't know that??

  • Yeah i know

  • Ray Is Tommy Vercitty GTA vc!!!!

  • a mix between henry hill and tony montana

  • -face palm- hes a mix of henry hill but henry is from nyc

  • Ray held the whole thing together for that incredible film.

It's pointless to argue who was best-they complemented each other.

The script was more a pointer for set up situations, and the improv that results was pure gold!

  • liotta was preety fucking great in this movie a hard, complicated part to play that's what you have to keep in mind is how complicated that character is

  • He actually outshined DeNiro and Pesci with his acting in "Goodfellas".......an amazing feat!

  • I love Liotta but NO WAY did he outshine Pesci and DeNiro

  • Honestly, Deniro and Liotta both were great in Goodfellas, but Pesci outshined them all, in his Oscar WINNING performance. Pesci's best acting was in Goodfellas, by far.

  • yeah your right but in casino he tried to do the same thing but deniro was the best in that film

  • i dont know, i always thought liotta was a token, just because he had the narrative voice that fit the movie,i think that was all he was good for,no were near as much class as deniro and pesci

  • i wouldn't say anyone out shined anyone in this film, simply because it was just so perfectly acted by all of them.

  • He was meant to play Ralph in the Sopranos apparently as.

  • no he was offered 2 play tony but turned it down.

  • fucking great actor

  • yeah i don't even know what i meant i must of been stoned out of my mind or drunk or probably both

  • Oh fuck ya but there better looking so yeah fuck it though hes way better

  • there sooo not better looking XD Ray is like 53 and still smokin ;)

  • yeah i thought so, thanks for your ingenious.

  • ray liotta rocks!!.so underratted actor he is much better actor than tomcruise, and bradpitt

    he deservese an oscar.

  • i agree...ray liotta should be up there wit the big boys.

  • ya hes really underatted. he did deserve an oscar nomination for goodfellas

  • @viswas777 I 100% agree with you. Very very underratted. He has kind of a cool edge to him. I also loved him in Blow. He has quietly been in several HUGE hits. Goodfellas will still be around when we are all gone.

  • @viswas777 yeah but brads a good actor

  • @viswas777 i have never looked at it that way and i got to honestly say i 101% agree with you. tom cruise and brad pitt seem to be getting more of the limelight when ray is clearly a better actor and has charm!

  • @viswas777

has he NOT got an Oscar yet!?...wth!? :O

  • Can Any One Think of a tv comedy he costared in, in the past 10 years. It was probably the funniest skit he did. Remembering scene-of him in a diner trying to get a sandwhich. The idea of part of the show was him trying to be a normal guy in the world, but he can't because he's a star. His ego in the show is really funny, because he's a star. If anyone can help out, drop a line please.

  • The show was Just Shoot Me he did a few cameos

  • Goodfellas was a comedy!!!...get it?

  • he is So under rated, he deserves an Oscar and a life time achievment award. he is so believeable

  • He doesn't sound like Vercetti to me.. I can't seem to imagine Vercetti speaking casually like this.

  • Great story! Thanks for posting it.

  • OMG... Tommy Vercetti

  • aha, I know. I watched this just to hear his voice.

  • i didnt know it was tommy vercetti!! hahaha that is so cool man

    my favourite film, goodfellas

my favourite video game, vice city

    ;)

  • yeh, play vice city, listen to his voice, then watch this. Right in the beginning of this when he says "so...." it sounds just like tommy

  • omg dude yeah

  • yeah, right when he says "so..." in the beginning XD

  • Vice City all THE WAY!!!!!

  • A great submission!

  • "Not only that its Marty" YES

  • he was the perfect choice for the movie. i love him!!!

  • who's better?

  • are you kidding? he was perfect. his voice, his look, his acting -- everything fit.

  • exactly. pure and simple.

  • Thanks for sending marty129

  • sorry but

    HOW SEXY IS HE.

im 17 and i think so!

    aha.

shame he's always type-casted as thugs tbh.

    ;)

  • he is damn sexy...it scares me

  • hes always a villian in movies but hes such a sweetheart and so damn sexy. at 53 years old he is still a sexy man. you know what gets me he sounds like this big italian man but he really isnt italian. liotta is his adoptive parents name and he traced his mother and hes scottish!

  • interesting that he isnt italian.

  • very underrated actor

  • They´re talented and Handsome. What else can be ? Very Good.

  • andy garcıa cool

  • never that, the best was pesci in that flick

  • Deniro is great but I like Ray Liotta better in this movie well Ray is my favirot actor but Deniro is great to, his preformace in casino I liked better but I still like Goodfellas better.

  • did u know Al Pacino was to plat De niro role but he turned it down

  • I heard of that and I'm glad he did. Deniro was definitely the best choice. I sometimes find Pacino annoying.

  • In goodfellas everybody always gives the praise to Deniro. But I think the best performance was Liotta's. Liotta's performance made you hate and love Henry.

  • Completely!

  • Ray = God!!!

  • Agreed

  • a good actor liotta is but his history is all fucked. deniro and scorsese hasnt worked in about 7 yrs in the King of comedy not 10 yrs in raging bull prior to Goodfellas

  • Actually, Ray in Goodfellas reminds of my Joaquin Phoenix. I thought he was Joaquin's brother!

  • they do look alike

  • i love ray liotta! hes georgeous! and i looove his accent

  • Ray is from my town. He is from Union NJ.

  • cool ... I usta live in Hillside , in the Mid-1980s ... and I met Ray around 1999-2000 on a FilmShoot for Disney Corp. ... Nice Guy.

  • I love this man, hes one of my favorites, with de niro and pacino

  • omg, those are my top 3 too... ha

  • ME 3 WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • yea.. we coo like dat

  • Ray is the best actor in the world=)

  • Ray is awesome!

  • I love Ray Liotta. He is one of my favorite actors.
