Had a cool ideal and please steal it folks if you want to and make it a reality. Flash blocks it would be better then a lantern. You could place a red stone dust or light stone dust inside a piece of glass the default color would be bright red for red stone. But you could add the dyes in order to make the block whatever color you wanted it to be. It would be able to turn on and of by using red stone and a switch or button. So many things you could do with the right amount of creativity.
