  • das schafft was weg was........blöde sau

  • when you drive car HEAR THIS LOUD!!!! greetings from saxony east germany XD

  • After reading Obc1500's comment I brought this song with me the next time I went out boating, I trolled past a police boat at top legal speed while blasting this and standing heroically on the bow

  • @chobits389 ahahahaha you legend :D

  • @chobits389

    LOL

  • @chobits389 You, my dear sir are true hero.

  • This is my theme when playing Silent Hunter :)

  • Great music, but as Royal Navy,i prefer the sound of depth charges to torpedoes. and the smell of floating diesel,to a long way to tipperary!

  • Yes My father was friends with a retired U-Boat captain in Long Island; A perfect older gentleman he was

  • @luismarinaperu whats his name?, what u-boat was he captain on?

  • genialer Film, Geniales Buch und Music

  • ye, also the pacific (same producers like band of brothers) is good. it deals with the japanese- us war which isnt shown in books or films often.very good stuff :)

  • ah can you feel the vast trembling of the diesel engines? the roar of the sea? water clashing against steel? the excitement, the terror and the hope of a U-boat crew...

all together in this soundtrack, in these 4 minutes....

  • Topp filmmusikk,topp film

  • @formeliandialogue

And that was EXACTLY my point. Hollywood movies making German in WW2 nothing more than coldblooded killers who couldn't be trusted, thus making a war on such "beasts" a righteous war. Sam Peckinpah did "The Cross of Iron", in which WW2 is portrayed from the German side.Sorry, but it had to be Spielberg who taught the audience that saving the life of an enemy soldier is "unwise", let's just kill 'em all, just to be sure.

I've seen the German movie "Stalingrad" too.A fine film

  • @McLarenMercedes

I don't know any bad WW2 films made by germans, but I also just know Das Boot, der Untergang and Stalingrad

  • @lurchie0815 another good german war movie is "die brücke" (the bridge) from 1959, 7 young soldiers, each about 16 years old, have to defend a small insignifanct bridge in their town in april 1945.

  • @ZakMckracken88

I know this movie, but I didn't know that it was german, thx

  • @McLarenMercedes It's all about power and money. Human greed is a dangerous thing.

  • @formeliandialogue

Let me tell you what all wars are about. Power and money. Anybody telling you they are about some ideals or "freedom" are fools. The crusades may have seemed like a "holy war", but in reality it was about who was controlling the trade routes from the far east and parts of the Mediterrean. When muslims seized those, a "holy war" became necessary.

I wonder why the queen of Spain saw it so important to take control of much of the Inka kingdom? Their gold of course. All to Spain

  • @McLarenMercedes I agree completely!

  • @formeliandialogue

Both China and India became very profitable markets for the 19'th century British Empire. The locals got nothing, whereas Queen Victoria and the merchants became insanely rich. And what happened if the Chinese were "dumb" enough to revolt?

There are still fools that believe WW1 was fought over some obscure arch-duke who most Austrians had a low opinion of prior to the war.

Hitler wouldn't have bothered with the jews unless they happened to be very rich and influental. Money

  • NOT YET KAMERADEN !!!!!!!

    NOT YET !!!!!!!!

  • FLOOD TANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "FASTER FAAAAASTER"

  • PARADA

  • Always nice to see a movie that doesnt villify the Germans, that doesnt portray them as mindless heathans out to kill everyone...hollywood has a nasty habit of doing that

  • @jeffhardy0963

Yeah, "Saving Private Ryan" comes to mind. All the Germans in it are just screaming, coldblooded monsters. On one occation they actually spare the life of one.Big mistake, he turns out to be a fanatical nazi in the Waffen SS.So the audience is learned that sparing the life of a German is stupid, because they are all basically evil nazis

"Band of brothers" was far better. The Germans are portrayed as humans and soldiers doing their duty. It also showed the allies could be ruthless

  • @formeliandialogue

Hope for your sake you're kidding, and do you even believe in "God"?? If so, then you have absolutely no business calling anybody ignorant.

I am going to assume you're a troll, but if not you're quite welcome to prove me wrong. Let's see what you got. If not I am going to take some drastic measures.

Let me assure you I am pretty far from ignorant and have read more than you ever will.

  • @McLarenMercedes ye i agree with you. you could see that in one scene, where an US soldier gets the pocket of a fallen german soldier and see his wife on a picture. that shows that even all "evil" german soldiers had their families and did not want this war.

  • @GarrettGSF i think he meant that german war movies are more realistic than american,

  • @5seba56 ye i meant the same :)

i just wanted to say that in hollywood movies often germans are not shown as humans but as evil killing machines. and "band of brothers" which is american indeed, is as realistic as german warfilms, i think mclarenmercedes wanted to say that.

  • @GarrettGSF i think it to:) band of brothers is awesome (altough i like das boot more)

  • @GarrettGSF Band Brothers showed the Good in the Germans, it's shows it in part 10.

  • @McLarenMercedes Actually there is some debate on that, most people apparantly believe that the one who killed "fish" was a different person or something, personally I have no clue whatsoever

  • @McLarenMercedes Yeah, the German general's speech at the end of the movie comes to mind.

  • @McLarenMercedes you got that right man !

  • Not Yet Kameraden, Not Yet !

  • Verdammter Zerstörer!

  • Such a fantastic film! Really showed how claustrophobic submarine warfare was and how neither side in a war is that different.

  • ALARM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watching this film in the school on the german lesson, and when this song comes up I get this damn feeling that they are some kind of elites or real heroes. 5/5 film and 5/5 Youtube Film.

  • @Jambalaya102

They were no elite, nor were they heroes.

They were ordinary men like you and me, sent on a horrible mission.

That doesn't mean I don't respect them though.

  • @rome8800 THey are HEROES! THEy ......STOP brain WASHING! AND JEW PROPAGANDA!

  • @rome8800 Well...thats not neccessarily true. The German U-boaters were indeed the elite of the German Navy. They had very intense training and very high physical and mental standards, a normal man could not be on the crew of a U-Boat, only a very capable and strongwilled man could be.

  • @rome8800 They are Kriegsmarine and got nothing to do with the Shuts Staffel! That means they don't got anything to do with the holocaust. They are heroes just like the Americans, Russians and British during World War II!

  • ALARM!!!!

  • TAUCHEN TAUCHEN TAUCHEN

  • über 40 Dampfer!

  • Always loved this one.

  • I like this song so much, but can't get it on i-tunes :(

  • I've got the feeling that the first part of this song is a bit faster then the U-96 soundtrack song. Am i right?

  • Is this soundtrack on I-tunes

  • i wish, try a youtube to mp3 converter

last time i checked DVD video soft was free ;)

  • nope

  • Silent Hunter..... Hach war das schöööööööööön :-)

  • yeah they certainly took a hell of a lot of casualties, very brave men,but don,t forget the thousands of merchant seamen killed by the u-boats.some of them barely 17 years old

  • @neilz1309 like you said sadly people usually dont look at both sides which is very sad

  • Sad thing was 3 out of 4 U-boat men never came home. Highest casualty rate of any position in the whole WWII.

  • Other than the Japanese Kamakazi of course.

  • God song!! remember the happy days of the Wolfpacks in the north ocean.

  • You should try the Silent Hunter series, It gives you a small idea of the hardship these men endured day after day

  • These boats were so effective, Churchill himself said that the only thing that ever scared him during the war was the "U-Boat Menace" If I recall.

  • Yes they almost single handedly won the war against Britain. They might have if they ever got the new U-boat that was faster underwater. That was the akiles heel of the U-boat, once it dove it was too slow to get away from destroyers, they stayed on top them at will.

  • cool!! this reminds me of engine sound of u-boot!

  • I love this song, Log live the memory of the U Boat
