Can you guys do me a favor? I'd love to do this with guitar midi and have 1 phatty per string. (six slims total... With Axon availability being hit or miss could you make a product that allows for this... either with the E1 or graphtech ghost. Would really make my day and be the piece that makes all your gear interchangable in house.....
Me being a Zelda fan and hopefully a few others, does that song that he's playing at about 1:15 on sound like the Boss Battle music to Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time?
Very nice feature... But for the extra 4 grand to spend on them? Why doesnt Moog just make a 4 voice Phatty? Then you dont have to stare at all the SAME rack synths. Or at least a 2 voice rack. Dont get me wrong it sounds amazing and its a really great feature and Im not blasting Moog but a polyphonic Phatty would be a bit more "convenient". Either way the Phatty is a sick little synth that Im very interested in, for this feature specifically, not a chance.

How does the CV feature work, or if you wanted to use a moogerfooger? Would you have to have the audio from each of the slim phatty units going into a moogerfooger? I assume the same thing would have to be done if you were using the CV feature?
Nice Idea. The synth's tuning in this video seems a bit off in spots. Is it possible to disable the master tuning knob?....make it perfectly fixed so it does not get bumped or need to be tuned every start up?
moog synths only play one note at a time (monophonic) so they are showing how to hook up a little phatty to a slim phatty to be able to play multiple notes at once (polyphonic). Here they have a little phatty and 4 slim phattys...which cost a whole lot of money...but I'm sure is worth it.
although this is a cool thing to watch, personally I would love a polyphonic option as standard as well as monophonic. same goes for the voyager in my personal opinion. Doing this would cost a considerable amount of money and take up a lot of room.
@danwentz The Mermorymoog is probably the most unstable synth from its time, I have only heard complaints from people owning it, but yeah, it probably sounds better...
Sorry for sounding like a nooby, but what the hell is a polyphonic chain? Is it just where you plug a bunch of synthesizers together to get a richer sound?
@aw5omeFRAZA I wouldn't say richer, but I guess you could call it that, really all it does is make it so you can turn a typical mono-synth into a poly-phonic keyboard......which can help change your play style to a more traditional style. Like if you wanted to know what a full classical piece that was meant for piano or harpsichord, then you could make the Little Phatty (or any mono-phonic synth) be able to handle that more realistically without skipping knows and being able to play chords.
that is way too expensive...what's this?over $ 6,000?!I'm waiting for a poly moog...a real polyphonic moog...not 6 phattys....over 6000 dollaarr :D:D:D omg
What's really needed is an expander box (1U high, two at most) that doesn't have any interfacing options other than program select, a tuning control, MIDI, and volume. If it can be programmed remotely then the front panel knobs and illuminated buttons can be dispensed with. That would being the cost down well under the current $795 price of entry.
Not to be a smart-ass, but how's about you guys give us a modern-day Memorymoog? Not all of us that want a polyphonic Moog have an unlimited supply of cash, an unlimited supply of power outlets, or both.
just curious...how exactly do you get the synth to get that glissando effect when he changes chords? forgive me im very new to the world of synths and i love that sound!!
How much is a Slim Phatty $795.00 each and a little Phatty $1,300.00. Now that is $6,865 for eight voices. Sorry Moog but not real exciting or affordable to me. How about coming out with a 6 voice Moog Voyager for about $3,000.00. Now that would be nice or impossable.
i'm doin this as soon as i get my slim phatty. gonna hook it to my stage 2 :D cant wait, dam the slow postal service if only it were as fast as making a patch on my stage 2 lol :P

How difficult is it to make a monophonic synth polyphonic?

@kingofkeyboards Then the synth would cost loads more, because it would need more than two oscillators...

Hey good folk. If I have a guitar with a midi pickup (For example the Roland GK-3), could I play a Slim Phatty that way? That'd be pretty cool!

@aw5omeFRAZA Polyphony means you can play more than one key at a time. Each LP/SP adds an extra key that you can play.

Nice stack of Phatties but IMHO the sonic power doesn't come close to the Memorymoog or is this demo sonically limitted by Youtube?
Did you play them side by side? How do they compare for real?
